Your Name is one of my favorite movies of all time. As much as I tried to go into this movie without expectation, that fact made doing so nearly impossible. But even with that being the case, I was still prepared to enjoy this movie even if I knew it would reach the heights of Your Name.

Full transparency: I dropped this manga after 24 chapters. May pick it up again in the future if the mood strikes me, but for now I will share my thoughts.
I started reading this manga because I enjoyed Bloom Into You and wanted to see what other kinds of conflict could arise in a story focusing primarily on a same sex relationship. I was disappointed in that this manga was not at all what I wanted to find. The conflict in this manga are all surface level and almost always immediately resolved. Started reading this because it was the highest rated "girl love" manga, if I can quote MAL's genre titling. It wasn't something I sought out or even something I was necessarily interested in. With that being said, this manga showcasing the blooming (pun intended) love of two school girls was a very cute and heartwarming read.
The manga is short and sweet and tells everything that it wants to tell effectively within the limited chapters. This manga has one of the best problems a manga can have, it was over before I wanted it to be. Thankfully, it was hinted at the end of the manga ...

I've been avoiding this anime / manga for a long time since I am normally not a fan of post apocalyptic settings. I am sorry to my past self for doing that.
This manga has an overarching theme that leaves the manga sitting with you long after you complete it. The themes, main characters, and overall atmosphere carry a somewhat simple and sometimes boring plot. They say that it's about the journey and not the destination. This is one of the rare circumstances where I preferred the destination to the journey. The manga felt very episodic and there were definitely some small plot devices and side stories ...

I saw this mentioned in the same breath as Oyasumi Punpun in a few online circles, and that made me want to check this out. Those people speaking so highly of this manga are completely mistaken.
This manga has weird kinks throughout (pissing, mostly. drinking piss. anal. degradation.) but I overlooked how much dissatisfaction the portrayal of these kinks gave me. I was assured that the initial ecchi content would become more complex as the story progressed and it would become more than simple baseless hentai. But that never happened. I see what the story was going for, showcasing the bonding of these two characters. But ...

Yup, the other reviews were right. This shit was weird.
the first half of this manga is a very touching and heartfelt display of an unwilling father coming to terms with the new responsibilities that come with raising a small child. There were some parts of the story that had me smiling from ear to ear. It was very cute. There are lots of people that complain about endings ruining a good piece of media. But normally that is because the ending falls flat, or the ending does not give them the satisfaction that they desire. This, though, is one of the rare circumstances where the ending ...
