Mushoku Tensei is a strange case. It was the first Light Novel I read through, and despite already having watched parts of the novel through the anime, I found myself crying or genuinely rooting for Rudy throughout. The strongest two parts of this novel are the main character, and the world building. None of the world building seems forced, and the knowledge Rudeus uses from him past life to get ahead simply gives him a leg up. While many say Rudeus' pervy tendencies make him hard to watch or read, the Light Novel fleshes out how aware Rudeus is of how horrible of a person

The strongest point of this manga is how well the author fleshes out each power, so if you like stretching the effects of a power to the absolute extreme, this is a fun read. Its weakest points are the fleshing out of characters and the deeper, more somber moments. I feel the author does a good job with humor, but more serious moments feel sappy and cheesy. I haven't found a character I really like, probably because the MC starts off as a bumbling idiot, and the manga is more focussed on the powers and growth of the MC. I would still reccomend this manga,
