I watched the anime before reading the manga and i have to tell it is amazing.
It follows well the anime story even if it misses some scenes or texts.
But i recommend it to anyone who loved Aldnoah Zero
For the season 1 : 12 episodes there are 4 volumes each doing 3 episodes there are none for season 2 right now but i think they will release it in the future

Here is the plot for those who wanna read:
In 1969, an ancient alien hypergate was discovered on the surface of the moon. Using ... this technology, humanity began migrating to Mars and settling there. After settlers discovered additional advanced technology, the Vers Empire was founded, which claimed Mars and its secrets for themselves. Later, the Vers Empire declared war on Earth, and in 1999, a battle on the Moon's surface caused the hypergate to explode, shattering the Moon and scattering remnants into a debris belt around the planet. Cut off from Mars, the remnants of the Vers Imperial Army established several massive orbital space stations within the debris belt and a ceasefire was established. 15 years later, in 2014, an attack on the Vers princess during a peace mission causes the Empire and its 37 clans of Orbital Knights to launch a new attack on Earth, this time determined to conquer it once and for all

I completely love it.It is exactly my style with all i wanted.The opening the music,the endings the slogan"Let justice be done though the heavens fall".The epic situation.It talks about Humans who discovered a relic in mars of an ancient civilization.They received a power from it called "Aldnoah".They considered themself as an other race and want to take Earth.They are the Vers Kingdom.They gain an excuse to attack earth because the princess of Vers has been assassinated in Earth when she only wanted to make a peace treaty.

An Excellent anime it may not be for everyone but i advise you to try.Outstanding story,characters art i loved this anime!
