Originality isn't always good, and this is a clear example of that. Big Fish & Begonia is a pathetic piece of work made by a team that has absolutely no idea of how to write a fucking film.
One thing that annoys me is a good concept that was carried out horribly. This movie fails trying to explain itself, and almost all events happen with no fucking reason, and the audience has to guess why it happened; how was the fish related to the gigantic flood? Why was the rat lady punished? Why was the fish that big of a threat? Why did the protagonists

revive that many times, when they literally sold their lives once? Why did the grandpa get set on fire? How did the world work? Why did the plot contradict itself so many times? None of these questions were even close to being answered, and it is completely impossible to follow a plot that doesn't know how to respect itself.
BF&B's animation is mediocre at best, and the character design is utterly disgusting and hard to look at. The only good aspect when talking about this film's visuals might be the scenery, as it looks surprisingly good. However, this film tries way too hard to combine 3D objects with 2D characters, and it's needless to say that it simply didn't work out.
One of the most gigantic issues this movie has is its incapability of creating likeable characters. Each and every single character feels like a inert piece of cardboard, and their faces express less emotions than a rock. I think the only character that's bareable at most is the soul trader, simply because he is an interesting concept of a character. The voice acting is utterly awful. Children sounding like adults is ridiculous, and their acting is simply unbearable and pitiful. Seiyūs like these make me want to vomit.
Overall, BF&B is a horrible piece of work that tries way too hard to create a likeable and complex setting with just 100 minutes of watch-time. This is undoubtedly the worst movie I've ever seen, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. An utter waste of time.

This is the only show/book I won't be giving a score to, and with a good reason.
This manga is basically unreadable; the plot is an absolute clusterfuck, and sadly not in a good way. I've really tried to follow this manga, but there were just too many things happening at once, and it suffers trying to explain itself. I've managed to complete this manga, but I'm relieved to say I'm not the only one who thought this was a complete non-sense of a book.

Fooly Cooly sure is an experience.
This show is the biggest clusterfuck I have ever seen, and I love absolutely every single bit of it. I love its nonsense; I love its utter weird and complex plot; I love its characters, I love its comedy, I fucking love its music, I love its animation, and I love its artstyle.

It's funny, short & sweet, charismatic and really nicely animated. Kimetsu's artstyle is something I've always admired due to its simplicity and yet being able to portrait such well-thought emotions into 10 minutes of animation. It made me laugh and the fact that some characters that passed away in the anime are being given some up-time in this ONA is neat. The only "negative" aspect of this special was that perhaps this would have been a really good moment to talk about some characters that weren't given enough attention to in the first season, such as the wind pillar, who looks like a really interesting

Let me keep this review short and simple, just like the show. Let's begin:
Story: 2/10
The plot of Oneechan ga Kita follows the life of the young Tomoya, and his father's re-marriage. He has now gained an older sister, who is completely obsessed with our protagonist, in a way that she actually follows him wherever he goes, and has photos of Tomoya all over her room. The plot can sound funny at first, but its lack of development makes it boring and cliche. of humour is way too far-fetched, not to say that the jokes get really repetitive past episode 4.
Art: 7/10
This is one of the few features I actually don't dislike about this show. The artstyle is really cute, and its animation is well implemented as well. It's not the best, but positive overall.
Sound: 5/10
The OST is nothing of great relevance in the show, but it's not bad either. Basically, it consists of high-pitched, short songs and cute sound efects that help with the setting. Not good, not bad, plainly average.
Character: 2/10
The main two problems this anime has with its caracterization are: its mediocre and cliche protagonists, and its annoying secondary characters. Little to no characters are actually likeable, which makes laughing or even smiling almost impossible to happen in the first place.
Enjoyment: 3/10
Oneechan ga Kita is sometimes able to make you smile, but it's comedy and character development just makes the show really unlikeable and not entertaining at all.
Overall: 4/10
If I could briefly describe this show to anyone, I would probably say Oneechan ga Kita is a mediocre and forgettable show. However, I can't say it's an utter waste of time, mainly because it is just half an hour long, and with that short of a duration, you can't really expect it to be great. Overall, if you want to watch a short, kind of cute, and weird "comedy" anime, Oneechan ga Kita is not the worst option out there.

Having "The Wind Rises" being my absolute favourite war-themed movie, I thought the least thing I could do was write a review about it. Without further ado, let's get into this.
Story: 10/10
Jiro Horikochi is a prodigy aeronautical engineer who seeks to follow his aeronautical design dreams, but is drastically overshadowed by the second world war and its aftermath. "The Wind Rises" excells at demonstating Jiro's struggles during his whole life, these being his impossibility of designing aircraft with innocent and peaceful purposes, his full-time job opposing upon his love life, and so on. a wonderful romance as well. After meeting but inmediately separating from his future wife, and finding her several years later, "The Wind Rises" narrates an outstandingly marvelous love story between Jiro and Naoko, which puts a smile on anyone's face. This movie's story is impeccably narrated from start to finish, and is one of it's best characteristics it has to offer. Also, have I mentioned it's based on a true story?
Art: 10/10
As of expected from an arguably recent Ghibli movie, "The Wind Rises" looks outstandingly well. It's artstyle looks wonderful, it's animation is smooth as silk and really detailed, and it's whole design is admirable. Simply amazing.
Sound: 5/10
Well, here's the first flaw, being this it's OST. This can be based upon personal preference, but I simply don't like this whole ancient and historical theme Miyazaki has chosen for "The Wind Rises"' songs. Maybe some of you will find it great, but it simply isn't my style. Let's move on.
Character: 6/10
I think this is the only flaw everyone agrees with, since this movie's personalization, characterization and character development is indeed not the BEST. It isn't bad at all, don't get me wrong, but it could have improved drastically, even more knowing how great of a studio Ghibli is; perhaps some of the characters were somewhat predictable, but overall, it is acceptable.
Enjoyment: 5/10
Now this is COMPLETELY my opinion. I am not a fan of warlike movies, let me tell you that. I would personally rather watch 20 slices of life than just one movie of these, but let me tell you that a five, an average score, is a great rating considering how much I dislike these type of movies. I find these movies really slow-paced, not very entertaining, and a lot of other stuff, but "The Wind Rises" surprisingly performed a decent job at keeping me from not falling asleep. Half of the time I was not very engaged on how angry Jiro's boss was, but as soon as a romantic or a thought-inducing scene popped up, I was indeed invested. Overall, an average score in this one.
Overall: 7/10
You may be wondering: Wow, this is your FAVOURITE war-themed movie, and you still gave it a 7? Well, yeah. It still is a war movie. It still has some unappealing scenes, and other stuff. However, this is one of the most unique and beautiful war-themed movies I've ever seen. "The Wind Rises" is an astonishing romance movie, a greatly original war movie, and I couldn't recommend it more. Go watch it; you won't regret it.

Having finished watching Fireworks, I inmediately checked all the reviews and I'm relieved at the fact that I wasn't the only one who got dissapointed and underwhelmed. I'll try to make this as quick as possible.
Story: 3/10
Fireworks tries to implement both the romance and drama genre into a single piece of work, but unfortunately fails drastically. As a drama, it just isn't sad or emotional enough; hardly one or two scenes can be centered in a gloomy atmosphere, but that's about it. at being a drama this show would be a GREAT romance anime... yeah no. The only "romantic" scenes are just not deepened enough, making this feeling quickly fade away in just a matter of seconds. Don't get me wrong, the last scene can be pretty and all, but you can't excuse having dissapointed a whole audience with just the ending. You need the memorable moments to last an hour and a half, not just 3 minutes.
Art: 9/10
What did you expect? It's a fucking Shaft movie, you would expect it to be absolutely mindblowing. And, at least in this category, it really is. Now I'm talking about the artstyle here, NOT the animation. The animation can be a little sloppy and poor, making the empathy between the audience and the characters hard to happen. But art-wise, this movie is great.
Sound: 9/10
Just as you would have imagined after watching the questionably popular music video, this movie excels at pleasing us with music. The end song is just to good to forget, and Nazuna's singing is one of the most beatiful scenes in this movie. I promised to be quick, so let's move on.
Character: 1/10
This is the biggest flaw Firework has, and the main cause of our inmense dissapoinment. This movie might me a loyal contendent for the prize "Best making your characters feel like a miserable piece of cardboard". I'm not even joking here; there is not a single hint of character development in the whole story. And I don't think you realize how important character development really is. Failing miserably at even presenting our protagonists, the movie just went downhill from there. You have no clue of what the characters feel towards each other, asides from literally them yelling who they are in love with. I honestly believe that if this movie had good characterization and personalization, it would be at least a decent movie, but sadly that is not the case.
Enjoyment: 6/10
Even though the movie has it's great downsides, it still perfoms a decent job at entertaining the audience. Maybe some people will disagree with this, but I didn't really find the movie boring, just far-fetched and superficial in terms of personalization. The best moment of the movie was, in my opinion, the final scene; it was just really heart-warming and pleasing. I won't go into detail so that nobody gets spoiled. But yeah, overall, I'll give it an average score at entertaining.
Overall: 6/10
I honestly wouldn't have imagined I would give this "low" of a score to a Shaft movie, but I guess this is the one the story deserves. I really don't think it's a BAD movie, just, as I said previously, dissapointing. This is the reason I'm giving it an above-average score; this movie is somewhat fine if you don't know about the hype that existed before it's publication. The only thing I have left to say is: Go watch it... Just don't get your hopes high.

*LITTLE TO NO SPOILERS AHEAD*
It's time for me to review Anohana, which is, in my opinion, one of the best shows the Anime franchise has to offer. I'll do my best to try to get to the main idea, as not to bore you guys and give a much more pleasant experience. Here I go.
Story: 10/10
Anohana gains the attention of the viewer as soon as episode 1 begins, since we are informed of Menma, this little bright-haired girl, is actually dead. Menma explains to Jintan, the main protagonist, that he has to make her wish come true, despise her not remembering what the wish acually
...
consisted of. We are explained that Jintan was once a part of a group called "The Super Peace Busters", consisting of himself, Menma, and other characters that are introduced during the Anime, Naruko, Poppo, Yukiatsu and Tsuruko. Anohana explains how united this group actually was, and perfectly follows the whole group's actions towards achieving the completion of Menma's wish. This plot rocks at keeping the viewer invested in it, so, from my point of view, Anohana's plot is absolutely flawless.
Art: 8/10
The art is great. Maybe here and there the animation can turn to be a little poor, but overall, it is really enjoyable. Nothing else to say here.
Sound: 9/10
Let me get straight into the point; both the opening and ending songs are unique in their own ways. They perfectly represent the whole essence of the story, and are and absolute blast to listen to. We all know how gorgeous the ending, "Secret Base", is, so there is no point of explaining it. Overall, absolutely unforgettable.
Character: 9.5/10
All of the main protagonists of Anohana are lovable, let me tell you that. Even Yukiatsu, who is introduced as a insensitive douchebag, ends up being a great and friendly dude.
Menma is your cute and joyful girl, giving every viewer a smile on their face everytime she makes an appearance on camera. Jintan is at first your typical introvert who denies even going to school, but develops as a character to end up being NO JOKE one of the most wholesome and loyal characters in the whole Anime franchise. Naruko is.... what can I say about her? Most people would say she's your average tsundere, but I would personally describe her as the most loveable and perfect protagonist in Anohana. Protecc Naruko at all costs. Poppo is a incredibly friendly guy who has an amazingly positive outlook on life; really lovable as well. Yukiatsu is my least favourite character, but that doesn't make him a bad one, AT ALL. He can be your average popular guy at first glace, but in the end he is a charismatic and quirky guy who just wanted some love. Last but not least, Tsuruko; A really shy girl who prefers keeping her feelings to herself and not talk about them at all, ends up being empathic and affectionate.
Maybe some more in-depht in the whole Jintan loving Menma and Tsuruko loving Yukiatsu would have helped even more, but that's just a trifle of mine. I admire Anohana's characterization.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Having completed Anohana twice now, I can say that this show might be a loyal contendent for the most beautiful and meaningful anime of all fucking times. There's not a single thing I find boring or irrelevant in the whole plot; The seiyū is great, the art is unforgettable, the OST is just marvelous, the plot is a masterpiece; I'm just abbreviating what I could keep talking about for hours.
Overall: 9.5/10
Anohana is amazing. I don't give it a 10 just for the fact that I am a sucker for romance; Naruko not confessing her love towards Jintan even in the movie made me a little underwhelmed, but that's about all the criticism I'll do towards this show. I have no fucking clue the heck you are doing right now if you haven't watched this show, just go! You will absolutely not regret it. Praise Anohana.

Aight, it's time for me to review this. It seems I am a part of the minority that despises this show completely, and I will try to explain why. ALL OF THIS IS MY OPINION. Please don't insult me just for having a different opinion than you, because you'll just prove how childish and braindead you are. Let's do this.
Story: 3/10
Yeah, no. This anime has little to none story, introducing us to this group of first 3, then 4 students. The story follows this group just... messing around... i guess. Since it's a slice of life, you can't just expect it to have the

most outstanding and mindblowing plot out there, but PLEASE give us something at least. Its really hard to like this show if you have no idea if the stuff that's happening is important to the plot or not, and if it will make at least something change in the story.

Ok, this is where Nichijou shines. As of expected from Kyoto Animation, the artstyle and animation are absolutely stunning. I personally love and admire this peculiar and original look that Nichijou has, and let me tell you it's hard to find an anime out there as attractive as this one.
Sound: 9/10
One of the only good things this show actually has, the OST. I personally love both of the openings; I think they are a complete blast to listen to, just like the ending (the first one, the second one is absolute trash). So, yeah; these songs are absolutely amazing and I personally believe they ended up being iconic in the anime community.
Character: 5/10
Really mediocre. I mean, yeah, there is your average tsundere, shy girl, quiet girl, weird girl, popular girl, etc, but that's exactly why these characters are so fucking boring. They lack personality! All of them are absolutely predictable and none out of ALL the characters in the whole anime change during the "story". However, them being predictable doesn't mean they can't be likeable.
Enjoyment: -10/10
And here is the one and only reason I ABSOLUTELY HATE this piece of shit. This can be a consequence of me not having the "style" of humor the anime does have, but either way it doesn't matter. It got old really quickly. Past episode 6 the anime starts to repeat the same weird and non-sense jokes that instead of making me laugh made me question if my life was worth living. This is not a joke.
I made a promise some months ago that consisted of if I started an anime, I HAD to finish it, and oh boy do I regret it. Like I previously said, Past episode 6 or so Nichijou became a boring, repetitive and predictable piece of shit that made me want to finish it as quick as possible. I got absolutely pleased as soon as one episode finished, and I can't explain how relieved I was when I finished the whole anime. I NO JOKE suffered during my binge watch, and absolutely regret wasting some moments of my life watching this anime. Nichijou, please take your shitty jokes and go fuck yourself.
Overall: 3/10
As a conclusion, I can say that this anime by itself is the reason why I hate the comedy genre. Please, PLEASE, avoid this suffering.

Maybe I'm disagreeing with some people with this, but I feel that Tenki no Ko is the best movie that Makoto Shinkai has ever made. This is completely my opinion, but I think that this movie has some of the best characteristics that a movie can have. First of all, the soundtrack is perfect. Kimi no Na wa had a impecable soundtrack as well, but I personally feel that the songs in Tenki no Ko fit better in the story. The artwork is indeed stunning. perfect, and are able to make you feel stuff you are not able to feel without them. The character design is wonderful, and each character is personalized incredibly well.
Overall, I enjoyed Tenki no Ko a little more than Kimi no Na wa, probably because this movie was the first movie that made me burst into tears.
