Impression: I love this manga too much that I end up finishing the 10-volume light novel later in only 2 days just to find out the story and its ending.
The story itself gives a vibe of Anohana, yet the difference is that Hikaru is a beautiful yet male ghost who need Akagi to help with his fiance Aoi. It contains tragedy that makes me sad when I read and comedy dialogue between those two to make me smile like an idiot.
Yet, the main theme of this manga is "How did Hikaru die?"

I don't always read a light novel. This is probably the first light novel I have ever finished. So here is basically my review. I spent 2 days reading 10 volumes.
Story: 9.5/10 If you had read or heard of "Tale of Genji", you probably would have sensed some characters' name related between this two stories. "Hikaru ga Chikyuu ni Ita Koro" or simply "When Hikaru was on Earth" is a story about ghost. Wait! It is not a horror one. The main character Akagi was haunted by a ghost who needed to fulfill the promise before passed on to either heaven/space/nirvana/idk. You might think of Anohana ...

It might be biased coming from me but I really enjoy this manga a lot. It takes a new road after the previous student council. Ken has to go and convince all the new members to join this harem.
In a manga with nothing but enjoying dialogue between characters in the room. You can't do anything but laugh while reading them. A manga full of parody, comedy, dark joke, and love, featuring new parody of Code Gease and Fate Night Stay...etc. Characters are almost different from the Seitokai no Ichizon except Ken. A clumsy president, Hardworkimg Minase, Yandere Kagami and Beautiful Touka. ...

I just finished the manga today. This is probably the first manga to change the way I view my life.
The characters in this all have their own flaws. They made mistakes. They made up. The journey from Highschool to College to Adult world. This is realistic in someway. I have to say that the main character seems to be a bit popular in that kind of "kind personality". Half way through the series, you will find yourself wondering about the MC decision, "Would you fight the world for love?" All in all, I can only summarize this manga in one poem that Yuzuki raises ...

It might contain a bit spoilers.
I started this manga because of its horror and mystery genre. I thought this story was about the fight between the villagers and the outsiders. However, it was completely different in an interesting way. Leaving the sexual substance or service aside, the mystery in the story is actually fascinating. The MC developed from being a normal to special thank to the darkness of the island itself. That's why I give it 8/10 because the art is being drawn very beautifully and the story hasn't finished so it's too early to judge the plot. P.S: I'm not a fan of fan service in ... |
