It probably should be more of an 8 rather than 9 but seeing this many nagging reviews...
This piece has HUGE potential. In those few episodes it manages to show the universe (like scanning codes to open portals, using phones to keep track of their progress, those areas being locked by hidden fences) a plethora or characters (that don't look or act alike), great art (with plenty of detail and without those dumb underwear shots), good music (though unfortunately rarely played), a few twists (like that fingershot at the end) and jokes, everything being mixed in overall dark (or just far from fairytale) mood.

I've watched half and skimmed through the rest cause it's just appalling. Originally I was hoping for some comedy, little drama maybe, or for a decent slice of life at least. The truth is it turned out to be neither. Began somewhat fine, at first it was even making fun of cliches... until the moment I've realized that it doesn't make fun of it, it IS one big, giant, enormous cliche. It honestly feels like an average thing from 2007 or 2008. How was this even approved and released in 2020 I don't really get.
Art. It's cheap. Was probably done by grads. Even WEB ...

CGI is great but that's pretty much it. Everything is one big question: WHY? Why are they fighting this god knows what? Why are they talking instead of shooting? Why a monster that killed the best player and resisted any attacks was killed by a gun that was unable to takedown a weaker demon 10 minutes before? Why at the end his score was 100 if he killed more than just one last boss? It feels that logic and storyline was shredded by the same gun they use to shred those monsters. But boobs have physics. That should deserve an extra point but it shown

Let's be honest and clear the only good thing about this piece is backgrounds. There are good, but not amazing. But that's not even half of the issue. Characters. Beginning with design and ending with what comes out of them is straightforward terrible. I didn't shed a single tear unlike most. I guess they haven't seen something truly touching.
It's almost 2 hours long, but first half was just wasted on god only knows what. Drama for the sake of drama, banal lines and flat characters that aren't developing but focused on one idea that's not driving the story or them anywhere. Click. One of ...

I sincerely feel that I must say something for this anime as it's nearly completely drowned in criticism and low scores. That's unfair. As much as what happened to the main characters, this piece of art just attracts unfairness to itself. First, there's actually NO incest here but many have just failed to see this. Second, I have to note that opening song made a very strong appearance in my playlist which is pretty rare. Third, I somehow seemed to totally understand characters, their actions and reasoning behind it. Maybe cause I find some resemblance. Well, hate me too, why not? I honestly expected it to be ...

Abysmal. Waste of time. Beginning was promising but it dropped to banal and pathetic characters and obvious "deep" thoughts. Main character is the most disgusting person I've ever seen.
