Both manga are of similar style: a series of romantic short stories between a bunch of interrelated people. Both of them are very good, with pretty good drawing. KimiKiss is a little more ecchi, while Salad Days has a wider range of stories.

A very energetic simple-minded heroine, with a good looking, popular (but dislikes it), down to earth guy. Very romantic, though Shuukatsu has a slightly more serious tone to it, but that might be because the characters are older than in Koukou debut.

This similarity wasn't something I would've suspected at first. However, half way through the story of Togari, Tobe's form of transformation is almost exactly like Ichigo's Hollow self, which made be look back on both manga. I've realized that both main characters are about someone who works for the "other world", whether they really want to or not. Both are fought with swords, with power level rising on occasions where the main character is pushed back against the corner. Togari is slightly darker though.

Surprisingly, there are similarities. It's based around a main male character who came from hell, with little-to-no sense of the modern world. They use their abilities for their own selves, but when seen by others, seems to be for "goodness". There's a female character who has no powers, but is able to slowly force some humanity within the male lead.

Both manga starts with a kid who doesn't know how to pilot but becomes very good at it, with a father in a higher military position. Awesome mechs battling in a more realistic situation than other mechs. Both Neon Genesis and Gundam 0079 has more plausible mech battles where strategies are needed, compared to many other mech manga which has super pumped up very rigged machines. Not only are there cool mech battles, but it deals with psychological pressure when battling, losing others, and there are a little political aspects to it as well.

They're both about a single guy who starts off disconnected from the world, with one troubled formerly troubled girl who brings them into the world. Both excellent read.
