This manga is an emotional rollercoaster, at first, it looks like a slice of life manga however the true horror starts to happen later on. This story takes place during WW2 in Okinawa, these young girls are recruited to become nurses to aid the injured soldiers. They have to nurse grotesque injuries which takes a toll on their psyches. This is a horror anthology manga about bizarre mystery cases, Every chapter is its own separate story however they relate to sexual violence. Although the author uses surrealism in his work the book is still pretty intense. The stories are well written and the crimes are interesting. The art is great and does its job of making the reader disturbed. The characters are very good, sometimes there is empathy for the characters, and other times there is disgust. Overall, I enjoyed this manga and rate it an 8/10. I do recommend it ...

This is the first manga I've read by Okoshi Koutarou, this manga is an anthology that uses the theme of Surrealism. Most stories are not that hard to follow, each chapter has a character that's trying to fulfill their desires in bizarre ways. Most of the time they're sexual perversions but their desires are backed up with well-written backstories. Most of the time them trying to satisfy their desires ends up backfiring on them. The art is outstanding in this manga, everything is drawn greatly. The characters are very good and play their roles greatly.

The story for this one-shot is easy to follow. A mentally ill boy killed and dismembered his classmate. This incomplete horror anthology consists of gory and detailed violence so if you are sensitive to that then I would not recommend it. For those who are interested the story is about these two orphaned kids named Toshio and Maki, these two are always getting into these supernatural ventures. Maki can use psychic abilities which she uses to help solve these paranormal ventures. This manga fits into the Ero Guro genre due to its explicit amount of nudity and gore throughout the chapters. This anthology has a mix of Fantasy and Horror, the stories stay consistent and enjoyable. Story 5 was easily the best due to the great characters and art it had, that one was very unique compared to the others. The art varies through each chapter but for the most part, it was very good. Some chapters had decent characters and others had well-written characters.

This story shows a girl defending herself and her family, she ends up killing the intruder which messes with her head. She becomes demented and psychotic causing her to play with the dead intruders' organs in both a morbid and sexual way. To me this shows how defending yourself by taking another person's life can take a toll on your mental health and mindset.
Overall this manga was decent as I viewed it in a psychological way rather than a sadistic view that it was meant to be seen in. This is a one-shot comic consisting of around 30 pages so I would recommend it.

This horror manga anthology has different gloomy and disturbing short stories for each chapter. Some stories may have a good consistent plot and others may not make sense and just be sadistic. The art is good as the character designs are unique and fit in the historical settings that they're in. The characters are mediocre at best, they end up doing dumb and illogical things that get them killed or maimed. However, some chapters end up having a depressing ending for the characters.

This is easily my favorite horror anime, some may say that it's too disturbing or it was boring and it lacked a consistent plot. However, this passion project made by Maruo, Suehiro aka the horror legend is good if you invest yourself towards the plot and do not have high expectations as TikTok has shown to do. The story has consisted of an mc that has a depressing backstory, an unsafe and treacherous environment, and disturbing surreal scenes. All these gloomy events happened to a young girl which makes it even more unfortunate, the ending is also very psychological and leaves the viewers' minds broken.
