It's surprising that kaijus don't get more anime but I guess nobody wants to step on the legacy of Godzilla. Look, this anime isn't deep or complex. It's your typical shounen plot of a weak character getting a second chance to grow and become the chad hero. The twist is that kaijus are involved, and for that reason alone, this anime is a must-watch. Banger OP, banger fights, and banger animation. There's very little not to like here if you're a fan of action animes and sci-fi.
Again, this is a Shounen-style anime, so the characters are simple and the plot is simple, but the
...
action and uniqueness of the show are the main attraction. It's very simple. If you like the idea of Kaijus, then this anime hits all the right boxes. If you don't, then why did you watch this show?

Konosuba is an anime sitcom. The plot takes a backseat to the characters being themselves in funny situations. This season is no different than previous seasons. It’s the same style, same characters, same tone, just new situations. It’s solid comedy that is easy to watch and enjoy with little mental investment.
I really fail to see how people see this season as a downgrade when the formula hasn’t changed. If you’re bored of the show, then you never really enjoyed it in the first place. People can watch 9 seasons of seinfeld with essentially no change in characters and comedy and still enjoy every episode.
...
Konosuba is no different.

Look, I'll keep this real simple. If you like violence, if you like action, if you like testosterone-filled hand-to-hand combat between angsty teenage boys who fight like seasoned MMA fighters, then this is the anime for you. We're talking the most fluid bare-knuckle fighting animation possibly in anime history. We're talking power struggles between high school gangs. We're talking screaming HOORAH at the screen when the MC spits out a chad line.
This is a Shounen anime so just overlook all the plot holes like why aren't the police ever involved in a high-crime area? How did these kids learn to fight like pros? How
...
are these businesses alive if nobody ever comes there due to the gangs? Where the hell are the parents of these kids and do they not care about them?!
ALL THESE THINGS DON'T MATTER BECAUSE WE JUST WANT TO SEE TWO STRONG MEN KICK THE SH*T OUT OF EACH OTHER

I can't believe someone said the characters are underdeveloped after 3 episodes with one episode solely dedicated to showing the MC's lifestyle and character. Just a typical person who wants to try to go against the grain...
Ninja Kamui is essentially the John Wick anime we all secretly wished for. It's a story of revenge emphasizing fight scenes, violence, and power. Adding in ninjas and cyberpunk themes gives it a fresh new spin on the revenge story.
Similar to Cyberpunk Edgerunners, it's hard to really call this an "anime" as the only thing anime about it is the Japanese voice acting. This show was produced for Adult
...
Swim too so it is tailored towards western audiences. You can immediately tell this is the case just based on the storytelling, animation, and vibe. This anime is dark and heavy with very little light-hearted moments to break up the pace similar to most western superhero comics.
All that being said, this is just an enjoyable show if you are into action and violence. The vibe is super cool and the animation is fluid giving some of the most intense fight scenes I have seen in a whlie. This show will help break up the Japanese anime viewing experience if you are watching multiple shows at once and things start to feel monotonous. Looking forward to this becoming a long-standing series

Is it the year of isekai?
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic is what all isekais before should have been if the genre was taken seriously. Yes, the plot is a carbon copy of all the most popular isekais that have come before, but the main difference here is that this isekai comes with a level of maturity and writing not found in other isekais.
As a summary for those who want to know what this anime is about, it’s basically Shield Hero except the writing is good. Now, onto what is good about this anime.
First, the pacing of this anime is superb. It doesn’t
...
try to hook you in with crazy action scenes and huge dramatic twists. It slowly exposes you to key elements of the plot in a way that gets you thinking about what is to come.
Second, the tone set by the anime is quite well done. There is a good mix of light-hearted and comedic scenes contrasted with heavier, more dramatic scenes. Also, war being the major conflict in the story so far actually gives an impact. Usually war in isekai is just a way to introduce reoccurring fights, but here, war is the focal point as MC is a medic. While he does have an OP power, he is still very vulnerable, so the idea of being frontlines in a war just healing people without defending gives stakes to each fight scene. Also, how seeing the horrors of war will impact him mentally is already being explored and is a more adult theme than what typical isekais will go into.
Lastly, let’s all just appreciate that the Japanese school characters in this show are normal students. The dialogue between them actually sounds like what a normal student would say and while there is a romantic tension there, it feels normal and not excessive. There is no objectifying women or fanservice at all. Just well-rounded characters that support wach other well.
If you’re a isekai-lover like me, you’ll feel like you’ve seen this show before at times, but trust me, this show is unique enough to make you remember why you enjoyed isekais in the first place.

This season is a big downgrade to previous ones.
Main reason is that Sakanayagi is just not a good villain. Compared to Ryuuen, there just isn’t a reason to feel any dread from her when she appears on screen. We are 5 episodes deep and I already forgot what led up to the latest episodes. They are that boring. It’s been mostly dialogue and the payoff for the latest arc didn’t feel satisfying as it seemed such a trivial matter.
We are exploring other characters this season, but they just aren’t as interesting as Kushida, Horikita, and Karuizawa, so frankly, it makes for a detached
...
viewing experience.
There is time to turn this season around. I am waiting for a meaningful conflict to happen with some of that S1/S2 magic, but if that doesn’t happen, I can only recommend you watch this season with very low expectations.

What the hell? Where did this anime come from? This is the sleeper anime of the year for me. I would describe this anime as "if Slime isekai merged with Shield Hero and Konosuba + good writing".
After binging season 1, I can say season 2 is starting out as an absolute banger. Ep. 1 is a slight recap but not a wasted episode at all). Season 1 built up the world and story and now, Season 2 is the payoff of all that. Season 2 starts the arc of Makoto in Rostgard to learn magic, but it also starts delving into the other heroes
...
transported from Earth and the war against demons. Just like most characters in this show, the other heroes have unique personalities and struggles that make them interesting to watch. The action and story-telling in Ep. 2-4 are so fun to watch with good pacing and progression. I have no complaints so far about the season.
For those wondering if you should start this show, I won't write a review for season 1 but I will put my thoughts on why this show is worth watching. I actually think binging Season 1 into Season 2 is a better viewing experience overall.
Tsuki ga Michibiku doesn't deviate from the traditional isekai recipe of "average MC transported to cool magical world where he picks up hot side chicks and builds his own village". The real difference is that the writing of the show is vastly superior than the other trash isekais. List of why:
1. Everything is explained. There is a goddess. There are ways for people to move across worlds. There is a mana system and elemental magic. There is a reason the MC was transported. Contracts between demihumans and humans exist. No major detail is just overlooked and not explained. Most isekais struggle to explain key details of the world the isekai is based in, and they just expect the viewer to accept things without any logic.
2. Power system - Yes the main character is OP, but the writing actually turns that into a constant issue for him, so it's not like he is just going around one-shotting all his problems away. There is also room for power growth as there are other characters as powerful as him so the story is not too predictable when conflicts arise.
3. Speaking of MC, he is actually a well-rounded character. He isn't a 1d NPC that has the "good guy" personality on 24/7 nor is he a complete weakling or degenerate. There is character progression and a dark side to him that he is forced to experience and accept. His motivations are clear and he is consistent in how he acts.
4. World Building - Similar to Slime, the world of Tsuki ga Michibiku is fleshed out with different species, lands, and languages. This adds a nice fantasy element and freshness to the show t
5. Violence - This anime doesn't shy away from gore and violence which is a must for isekais. While the show mostly has a light-hearted tone, the tonal shifts from the violence give a great contrast that emphasize key scenes.
6. Comedy/Fanservice - Contrasting the violence of this show is the comedy and fanservice. This show has some genuinely funny moments where I laughed out loud and is very similar to the style of Konosuba comedy. But this show isn't a degenerate anime where all the girls exist just to be waifus. Yes, that element exists, but it is done sparingly for comedic effect. The MC also isn't a horndog and actually has self-control unlike many other isekais out there.
This anime isn't perfect and there are times where the plot is weak or the comedy is redundant, but they are excusable and much less glaring than other examples out there.
I am surprised I haven't heard anything about this anime since Season 1, but I am glad it has a high enough rating to make me interested. If you like the top-tier isekais like Mushoku Tensei and Re Zero, then I think Tsuki ga Michibiku is right up your alley as a more light-hearted isekai.

Overrated.
Let's be honest here. The Dangers in My Heart is just a male version of female erotica novels. It is a pure fantasy plot that overlooks all common sense and logic for the sake of fulfilling the fantasy that the loner/loser of the class can get with the hot girl. IMO, this type of plot does not deserve such a high rating and does not appeal to a broad audience which animes at this rating really should.
Season 2 still suffers from the same things as Season 1: namely, Ishikawa is constantly placed in predictable/eye-rolling circumstances that allow him to be the hero. And despite
...
all the events that have happened in Season 1, Ishikawa is still too insecure to accept Yamada is interested in him. Of course, for the sake of some form of conflict in this season, this has to be the case, but it just reinforces the idea of how much a fantasy this show is. Everything just feels so centered around Ichikawa's needs and desires that it gives me the ick sometimes.
Season 2 starts to explore Ichikawa becoming a man both literally in the form of puberty and figuratively in actually stepping up to get what he wants. This aspect might have been more convincing if Yamada wasn't throwing herself at him every chance she got. We also see a little bit of Yamada's backstory, but realistically, nothing will explain why she acts the way she does as she is written simply to be Ichikawa's love interest.
The sound and animation are still top-notch though, and there are some comedic moments that are genuinely funny, but the fanservice (remember these are 8th graders AKA 13 year olds) and crude moments take away from really enjoying all parts of the show.
You only have to look at an anime like Love is War as an example of a school romance anime without crudeness and has characters who consistently make logical decisions based on their character’s motivations while leaving room for more “unrealistic” moments that create dramatic effect. I can’t say the same for The Dangers in My Heart.
In conclusion, The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 is more of the same as Season 1. It's by no means a bad anime, just way too overhyped which is why I am being critical in this review. But you lonely and horny single males keep on doing you.
6.5/10 rounding down to 6 to lower the rating...
Edit: Also, you incels sending me PMs are so cringe. Getting upset that someone criticizes your beloved anime just shows what kind of people enjoy this show LOL

As someone who read the manhwa years ago, I was looking forward to seeing the anime adaptation as half the manhwa were fight scenes where I had no idea what was happening…
So far the anime is living up to my expectations. I personally thought the story was introduced well. It was a good balance of explaining the world, the main character, and some action. Episode 2 should really hook you in as even if I knew how it ended, I couldn’t help but be fully concentrated on the show.
As all action animes should have, the animation here is super clean and there isn’t any scene
...
that looked “bad”, at least to my untrained eye.
Even though I like the anime, I already know the ending, and I’m just not a huge fan of how it progresses and ends, so I can’t give it more than a 7. But this anime is all about power concentrated into the hands of one weak individual, and that is just a fun concept to watch if just for the fights.
Overall, Solo Leveling is a must watch if you enjoy anime fights and OP main characters. If you’re looking for a cohesive and gripping story, then look for a different show, but If you’re just looking to see someone kick ass then just watch the damn show and ignore the haters.

I enjoyed this show overall, but the one thing I couldn’t get over was how unrealistic it was for Yamada to fall for Ichikawa. Sorry, but in a real-life school setting, having the hottest girl in school fall for the loner is impossible.
Not only that, she actively pursues and initiates romantic interest in him. This issue broke all sense of immersion to the story for me and made watching less enjoyable. Even the anime is self-aware enough to know how unrealistic this plot is given the characters' reactions to their relationship.
Yes, I know this is a romance anime where anything is possible and it caters
...
to the male fantasy, but it was just too much for me.
I could have believed it more if Ichikawa had to fight to win her over but he literally did a few nice things for her and then she’s in love with him…That's how you know this is a complete fantasy plot devoid of any realism. Ichikawa does nothing to improve himself, he just gets handed out all these awesome situations at his convenience.
The most eye-rolling time was Yamada keeping his drawing of her. A normal person would be creeped out by someone drawing them without permission, especially if it was by the loner of the class...
Now, some redeeming features of Ichikawa is that he is smart, has a good family, and isn’t socially clueless like many other loser MCs in anime, so he's somewhat likable and not someone you get constantly frustrated with.
Overall, if you enjoy wholesome school romance animes, then this one is well-animated and has its funny moments, but I believe it’s rating is inflated from the male audience who fantasize about idols/models falling for them
