I first watched Hetalia in 2011, and when I learned that after 10 years, my country, Portugal, was finally gonna get animated, I was ecstatic! It was a shame it was only half an episode, tho.
Everyhting else was typical Hetalia, the jokes, the cute animations... It's great!
I'm just surprised that after 6 years since the last season, they decided to do the series again, but only for 12 episodes.
It's something you watch really fast, it's relaxing, and you learn some cool stuff from it! Totally recommend, if you watched the other seasons, this one shouldn't be left out.

Though I do not know if this is the author's original idea, I believe that to enjoy this anime to the maximum you can't take it as a fantasy type anime with comedy elements to it, but instead you have to expect a gag comedy in a fantasy setting.
I remember in the early episodes a friend of mine complaining because he felt that a gag appeared to soon and ruined the characters' development and the more deep side of the anime, but I disagree and say that the more serious scenes in this anime serve only as a set up to the gag, in ... |
