Do you like main characters that are way too quirky to be on screen?
Do you relate to a portrayal of a character that is a public nuisance with shouting and damaging public/private property some times when they step outside?
Do you think that having zero clues in reading social cues and then blaming the world for it is funny or cute?
If your answer is yes to all of the above, oh, boy, I’ve got the anime for you.
Now that is out of the way, let me start by saying, look, I get it, I was a teenager, and I know Nina (one of the main characters)
...
had a rough life, but some things that she does are taking it too far. And every time I start to enjoy what is going on in this melodrama of a show, Nina does something that I feel is inexcusable which turns me against her. I believe she can still be who she is, and channel the same energy but use different methods to be more respectful in certain cases and places.
When it comes to animation, Girls Band Cry uses full CGI to convey its story and what is going on, that being said, it is still an upgrade compared to other similar shows that uses similar tech. However, here, the CGI is smooth, way too smooth. So, either that is a problem, or the exaggerated facial and body expressions that characters do is.
The vibes of the story is toned down in some places to give space for being exaggerated in other places and to offset the imbalance in the story-telling for some problematic characters.
Since the theme is about music and forming a band, some songs are good, they have some good elements and energy to them, OP and ED are good.
In the end, if you’re on the edge of your seat wondering whether I’ll continue watching this or not, the answer is a resounding no. I wish it’s a yes, I want it to be a yes, but every time I try to dive into the drama and the characters and I start to invest in their moments and what is going on, I get thrown out with a cheesy scene or get put off by some of Nina’s actions.

Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen is a comedy show about a young lad, his girlfriend and her chaotic family of spies.
Have you watched Spy x Family? It’s like that (without the aspect of childcare) minus any pesky constraints of a government, or eyes from society. Although both do exist, however, I don’t know why characters don’t play by the usual rules.
If they want to ignore these two important factors, the definition of spies becomes without any meaning, don’t you think?
Now, due to certain circumstances, this nutty family decide to turn our MC to become a spy. And how do they do it, you ask? Well,
...
how about an act of terrorism inside of a school? Yeah, because nothing screams comedy gold like potential trauma-inducing events, right? Talk about being insensitive.
Their training methods are very questionable and not funny in this series – instead of easing the poor guy into the spy game, they always choose the worst possible way to do so with a big chance he might end up dead each time. It’s like teaching someone how to drive by tossing the keys for a car moving at 200km/h (124 mph) in the middle of the road and tell them good luck, buddy.
Honestly, trying to make sense of this show or to see these things as funny is difficult, and some characters reactions to things happening makes me wonder if the writer is taking cues from an alien's guide to human behavior.

Sentai Daishikkaku has a nice and an intriguing idea – without monsters, heroes cannot exist. And not all actions of heroes are good ones, shining a light exposing the industry that was created benefiting from the whole ordeal between the two parties, selling that to the normal people in their world that are unaware of it.
Such a show needs a good cast of characters that can make or break the story now that they have introduced the premise. While there are few characters (Suzukiri) that was later focused on that I would consider to be kind of thoughtfully constructed, I still feel that the majority
...
are weak.
As someone who didn’t grow up watching Power Rangers, but was fine watching Fuuto Tantei, I couldn’t know why the rangers and fighters in this anime seemed off-putting at first. I know they are supposed to be somewhat the bad guys here, and taking their side is not necessary, still, the show didn’t hand any reason to care about them. Maybe it’s the intended result, to just focus on Fighter D, but Fighter D is more of an idea of revenge than a fully-fledged character, and the same can be said about Suzukiri, she is just smarter than D sometimes.
In terms of plot and direction, the first episode while it made me come back to watch episode two and three, but it was lacking. The second episode contained information that I wished the first one had, maybe it would have changed how it shaped my opinion on it regarding how some monsters are immortals but what about their bosses.
When it comes to animation, again, this show seems very consistent to be right in the middle – heavy use of CGI for the monsters and fighters, which is understandable in some cases, however most of the time they are unpleasant to the eye to look at. If they can make it as smooth and good as the 3D in the ED it would be a different story, but overall, the animation is good-enough, seems like Yostar is treating this show worse than what they did in Arknights even though they used CGI there, too.
Is it worth watching? It is watchable, it has an interesting core idea, but weak presentation. I’ll keep watching until I feel I had enough.

Watching this anime evokes nostalgic wave of memories of my early days into the world of anime, when I unexpectedly enjoyed things like Non Non Biyori and was captivated reading Yotsuba to! manga. With a peaceful, very calm experience that I didn't know that I needed in my life before.
Fortunately, Yuru Camp△ hits similar vibes, at least to me. Especially when I sometimes feel like I'm there in the moment when they are camping and doing their best to savor the moment.
Being late to the party and experiencing watching this in 2024 still feels awesome. Characters are finely crafted and very suitable for such a
...
story, sceneries are soothing and it really transform me to their world, the opening is great to listen to, and the unhurried pace of storytelling makes everything complete for me.
It's all about the simple joys of companionship and nature. gosh, now I want to go camping in Japan with some family and friends.
It deserves to be my first ever recommended review.

I like this show, the premise is interesting, a slow cooking self-improvement and reflection on self course on how to approach life as a gamer for our MC. But I don't know if it's me or just the vibe of the second season was a bit off sometimes, a bit awkward I'd say, with a pinch of forced events here and there that made some episodes out of touch, yet the outcome in the end for every event was acceptable.
It's like when you start with ingredients to prepare a dish, but you somehow end up with another dish entirely, but it's still edible.
Was that enough for
...
me to stop watching? No, not really, so I don't know.

I went to watch this anime about Hime being tortured with all kinds of mouthwatering food and heartwarming friendships that she got along the way, not knowingly that the only one that got the actual side of torture was me, actually.
It's a cute show, the first episode got me hooked, I'll give them that, It really tries to come close to being a light-hearted comedy anime, but the repetition made watching every episode till the end a difficult task. That is why I wish I had stopped back in the earlier episodes.
Using the same dialogue and format is fine, but there is an art for
...
repeating the same thing while still keeping it funny, which I wish they had used it.
The characters are a bit dull, although I wasn't expecting a deep lore for each one, but maybe they could have carried the slack for the repetition issue that this show suffers from with a more joyful/playful ones.
I wish this was adapted to be shorts, 5 minutes or less, and cooldown for a week would have made it way better.

If you're looking for an interesting story to watch, then, in my opinion, you're in the wrong place.
Lots of time are wasted on the MC and his wives trying to be intimate with him then him refusing their advances and his inner-monologue each episode or so.
Nothing spectacular either when it comes to the story or the fight scenes or even to satisfy the Ecchi genre in any way that would make this show watchable.
We are on episode 9, and I'm yet to find anything interesting in the story, and I think it's too late to shift the focus from whatever is going on now.
I
...
doubt that anything will magically appear in the coming episodes and fix how tasteless this is.

'Bucchigiri?!' is the type of shows that I usually try to avoid. I literally went to watch it thinking that I'm going to drop it right after I finish the first episode. But the interesting mix of themes, good animations, and where I thought the anime is headed made me continue up until episode 7, though I'm not sure if I'm able keep on further.
I never thought someone is capable of creating a main character that is more insufferable than Kazuya from Rent-a-Girlfriend. And this is not to hate on Rent-a-Girlfriend, at least Kazuya kind of has a goal, trying to take things slowly, very
...
slowly, and trying to set himself up to a better path on how he appears to people around him, while being somehow a decent friend.
Arajin on the other hand, his entire existence depends on this annoying shallow girl Mahoro that has a brother complex. He just wants to lose his virginity to her. That's all to it, no character development whatsoever without this, if any character development is there in the first place.
Adding to the previous, Arajin is a very bad friend. Honestly, I don't understand why Matakara keeps trying with him.
I'm really torn between to continue watching such a clown and his silly adventures or not.
In my opinion, if they just straight up removed Arajin it would be far better than the current situation with the story.

This anime gives me the feeling that it’s written by AI hallucinations with lots of things that don’t connect, which leaves me feeling confused each new episode if I’ve missed an episode in between.
If I want to summarize the experience of watching it, I’d say it’s like watching an incredibly condense and packed video on 2x – 3x speed with no time to process what is going on.
It rushes through things for no particular reason; rushes through emotions or doesn’t even bother focusing on it, rushes through conclusions, introducing an idea, even the characters appearing sometimes they disappear before I even understand their purpose for
...
them being in a scene.
If it was written by robots, then I’d say it’s leaning towards logic more than emotions, but for some reason no logic nor emotions are present in here that would progress the story and its flow in a natural way.

The concept of being a hero has been defined and tried to be redefined so many times through media in general and not only in anime, but usually, the core idea is about a character that is opened to the idea of helping people out, because they see themselves as part of that community of people that in need of help.
In ‘Shy’ however, the title of a hero is given to a group of people that can be described and summarized as outcasts from their respective community of people that these heroes are trying to defend, which leaves me slightly dissatisfied.
A hero can be an
...
outcast by choice, not by definition of their character, for example, they can mask some part of their lives, maintaining a certain image, while keeping their heroic activities hidden by being an outcast in that certain part.
In ‘Shy’ You have an alcoholic, a very shy shut-in, a heartless person, and someone who wants to be taken more manly but behaves differently (by his definition, not mine), etc. It's not an ideal mix for a hero type of show, in my opinion, not when these heroes' characters are based solely on these qualities or dare I say defects taken as a comic relief that is supposed to offset the somewhat serious tones in dealing with a problem.
For these types of heroes in this show, it'd be difficult for them to do their job without their traits interfering and affecting every step they take, they even say they find their job difficult, not because of what is expected out of them only, but also because they didn't overcome what makes them not suited in the first place for this kind of job, and that is exactly why I question why they were picked as heroes. They don't have to be perfect, but it seems like every hero in here is far from being suited to be a hero.
There is only one hero that I somewhat cared about, unfortunately, she's a side character with a supporting role. I liked her determination even though she has an obstacle to be a hero, a physical one, yet she is still trying.
Storywise: it is very simple, the world is at peace, but there are dangers and bad actors here and there.
The animation is good enough, I just wish to have fewer pauses during a fight.
