The BEST use of 3D I've ever seen in my life.
The First Slam Dunk adapt the final match of the manga, but with the POV of Ryota : His flashback and a lot of bonus scenes were added for the movie to be watchable without even have read the manga.
And EVERYTHING is beautiful in this movie ! : the music, the colors, the sub, the pacing and the storytelling for the story of Miyagi Ryota, the least developed character in the major 5...
I thought the 3D will be weird but it was sublime, dynamic, smooth, the faces were expressive... Sometimes we even forgot the CGI

I read Water. months ago, and I had mixed feeling about it, due to some weird atmosphere and some conclusion-less stories. But Everyday (or Kabocha to Mayonnaise) erased most of the flaws of Nananan's art and style : The art here is less muddled, even though Nananan kept her special decoupage, charadesign, setting that offer to us a dark yet calm atmosphere, a mixture of the vanity of the everyday life and the soft aftertaste of a romantic relation. . . [TLDR] Very fine for an axed manga
Moebana was a pleasant reading, the art wasn't perfect at all and the story is very simple, but I liked the ambiance + It's very rare to see a story about Ikebana (usually there're sport clubs in mangas) But I don't reccomand it if you search a complex story with appealing character and multiple plots, Moebana is just a simple story about teenagers making cute flower arrangements. Very sad that the manga was axed. I put a 6/10 but if it continued at this rate, I would surely have put Moebana a 7 or 8

Neji no Hitobito is a short manga about philosophy, yep that seems strange but this is cut by episodic chapters that aboard philosophic concepts such as identity, values, work, love or the use of thinking But even if the context is interesting, the form is kinda weird, with unnecessary/forced romances or fanservice tropes The manga brought me some way of thinking I never apprehend and that's cool, I also liked some metaphors and some non-philosophical subjects evoked. Water. is a compilation of short stories which explores sexuality and females feelings, with a unique and minimalistic art, with photos and a lot of metaphors.
Each chapter talk about love in many ways : one chapter deals with lesbian legitimity, an other abords sex traumatism, toxic relationship, non-reciprocal love, jealousy, crushes... All with a sad/melancholic atmosphere. I'm not into this "almost avant-garde" vibe and romance theme but it can be interesting for reader looking for dramatic love with unique art. -> A lot of chapter were too short or without conclusion. Colorful is a wonderful movie, must-watch anime
Colorful abords importance of life and life's little pleasures, from the view of a lonely stray boy. Makoto, the protagonist, must learn to appreciate life despite the sadness who surround him, he may reembrace the life for 6 months. Despite the simple plot, the movie stages this very well. Fascinating and beautiful!
At first, I was mixed towards this movie, despite the beautiful colours and the fluid animation, the characters seemed cliché, between the shy boy and the cute Mary-sue, but in the end this anime nicely surprised me. The film tells a beautiful romance (realistic even if at times far-fetched) setting up an extrovert-introvert relationship, both side having complexes and passions, well set up in the story, mixing poetry, self-conscious and self confidence. I really appreciate the colourful graphic style which makes it really warm and bright, also I found the charadisgn are good. I know some people don't find this movie perfect, but it's VERY pleasant ...

Criminally underrated | A perfect romance for begginers
[Spoilerless] Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu (I will just call it Nakitai for the review) surpised me, I didn't expect such a good movie. The beginning is not incredible, it's just a classic romance/slice of life school life Then the setting of the surnatural element (at the first 1/4 of the movie) makes the movie interesting The surnatural element isn't perfect but it's really good and original, I found Nakitai quite unique. A WASTED potential
-Spoil- Black Fox have a cool start plot, amazing art style/charadesign and a OK animation for a standalone movie, but the movie seems imcomplete. There're a lot of imcomplete/irresolved plot point, and the movie seems to be a prequel/introduction to another movie, that doesn't exist. -> The movie end with a cliffhanger and the final scene, which is supposed to be a try of an open ending, is failed. The dynamics betweens characters are extremely basic and they'all have stereopytical attitude (the characters aren't complex at all, they aren't flat or emotionless, but they're too basics) But the visual art and the OST are pretty good, ...
