This was the show that made me grow an aprreciation for anime. My cousin recommended this show to me, but I was very reluctant at first because I had never been interested in anime before. This show doesn't have original ideas, I know. But something can still be good without having any original ideas, which is the case of Demon Slayer.
The characaters are fun to watch, except maybe Zenitsu, the dialogue can be really great at times and there are many emotional moments throughout the show. The movie, Mugen Train, contains the only anime scene to almost make me cry, and I rarely get that moved by a movie or show. It was the scene where Tanjiro had to tell his family goodbye in the dream. And, of course, this won't come off as a surprise to you, ...

What I'm about to say is nothing new to the Death Note fanbase.
First half is perfect, second half isn't bad, but it's worse than the first, except for the ending, which was really good. It's the only reason why I don't give it a 10, but I'm still a huge fan of this show. I just think L was a better character than Near and Mello. Here's my hot take: I'm not a fan of this show.
Which is a huge shame, because I actually believe the first 4 episodes are amazing. When Johann is first introduced shooting the other guy, I was expecting this show to be one of my favorites by the end. But that's not what I got at all, I don't understand why so many people love it. Some of the episodes don't really tie into the main story, they'll just introduce a random character who we never see again or who doesn't contribute anything to the story.
