Okay. I'll just say it. My favorite thing in Owari no Seraph was Shinoa. She was what kept me watching this show.

For the sake of easy reading, I'll try to make things simple:
Story - Post-apocalyptic setting, vampires vs. humans, a story of human resistance against more powerful vampires.

Art - Okay, watchable. The animation was generally fine, but still not top-notch.

Sound - Sound? What sound? Nothing too outstanding here. Just normal sounds and music. It neither bothered nor impressed me.

Character - We have the MC+kids using some demonic weapons to fight vampires. There are some character bonding and developing moments, but not enough. One can ...

Mixed Feelings
Umm...let me be honest here. I started watching High School DxD series because of the things it was good at: adequately mixing its overt fan-service with little bit of plot and good comedy. For me, if an anime is completely made of fan-service, it is not usually worth investing one's time. However, High School DxD is different in that it cleverly uses fan-service, not as a gratuitous method to attract viewers, but as an integral part of the entire story, which fits seamlessly in the big flow of things. Also, the comedy involving fan-service is a giant plus in watching this show.

When you're in the world of anime and manga, there are these popular and trending materials that are too long and big to take up and follow. No matter how hard you try to ignore these trends, they keep popping up, and it almost feels like it is impossible to stay up to date in the anime world without watching/reading them. At least for me, not staying up to date is like being dead in this world of anime.
JoJo was one of these trending things, and I tried real hard to ignore it, because getting myself in the JoJo world would only fatten up ...
