Kore wa Zombie desu ka?

They both feature the frightening undead (except the protagonist in Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? isn't like a Resident Evil type of zombie). They also take place in a world where the characters never thought they'd up end in and it's packed with action, comedy, and fan service. Ecchi is the biggest selling point in both anime so if beautiful, big-breasted anime women are something you cherish in life (I do) then you should find enjoyment in both series.

K-On!

K-On and Azumanga Daioh have the same kind of pleasant charm. They're 4-koma series that revolve around a group of high school girls as they live out their lives. The main cast in both are lovable and have their quirks that make them stand out. They're enjoyable and funny reads that will brighten your day.

They're both pretty left field and random enough that I can see them airing on Adult Swim. You'll either love or hate them and they don't care which side you're on. There's not much of a strong story in either so they rely more on their absurdity and humor. They're just fun and funny to watch.

The premises in both anime are straightforward and well-executed. They feature interesting and quirky characters. There are awesome scenes of nature since the events tend to take place outside. The comedy is on point and the 萌え/moe facet is present. They're both relaxing slice of life anime to watch after a day's worth of being productive.

Kill la Kill

Zany and over the top humor is present in both. The artistic style is similar in the character designs, especially with the exaggerated facial expressions and action scenes. Speaking of the action/fight scenes, there's a lot of destruction when they happen, with buildings collapsing and characters' bones being crushed, smashed, ruptured, and snapped if they were normal human beings. "Yelling makes you stronger" logic is here and there's a bunch of fanservice (yay). Though, Medaka's amazing rack is on another level. However, Ryuuko and Satsuki-sama show a lot of skin when they fight too.

Innocent kids and dark revelations always seem to mix oh so well. They share dark and baleful undertones and once the story sets in, the cruel reality is revealed! They're both full of twists, sinister themes, and an engaging narrative. They're recommended watches if you're looking for a gritty anime that isn't everything it appears to be.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha

The background of these two anime is very similar: Both anime feature a human working with a supernatural being in order to achieve a common goal in a fantasy setting. Holo and Maou are two intelligent main characters you can't help but love (they also share the same 声優/seiyuu, though Maou is zoftig and Holo is slender). The unique flavor that both shows have are backed up by witty and often amusing dialogue and a quirky romance. It's safe to say they're excellent anime of the fantasy genre and if you like one, then you'll enjoy the other.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

Kei and Yuri, like Panty and Stocking, are shining examples of bad ass (and hot) heroines. Both sets of women partake in comical banter and have great chemistry. Dirty Pair is perfect for anyone who likes Panty and Stocking for its plot and humor. Both sets of women are the type to "shoot first, ask questions later". In both anime, the women go on missions and pandemonium ensues. They're all unorthodox in their approach to their jobs, but that's what makes both shows entertaining.

Love Live! School Idol Project

Both have wonderful and developed characters in music clubs who started from scratch. Their first seasons also set the stage for their respective (and superior) second seasons. What makes them even more alike is the similarity between Honoka & Yui (air-headed and happy optimist leader), Umi & Mio (shy, but talented main lyricist), Kotori & Mugi (kind and gentle) and Nico & Azusa (arguably the most important character and they both have twin tails). While the issues of K-On are not as problematic as Love Live, they're both cute, funny and musical anime that'll get you sucked in.

Yuyushiki

Both Yuyushiki and Lucky Star have you following the daily lives of a group of high school girls, each with their own quirks. The laid-back, positive and easy-going vibe present in both anime make them enjoyable to watch. Yui's character in Yuyushiki bears a striking resemblance to Lucky Star's Kagami, in terms of personality, being the more sensible and mature, but adorable when embarrassed. It's also nice they're both not with that fufu lame ish. If you enjoyed Yuyushiki, it's hard to go wrong with Lucky Star.
