Characters are drawn very similarly and there is a strong link with music in both, although much MUCH more obvious in K-ON!

They both have exactly the same feel to them, in my opinion. As soon as I started watching X'amd I thought of Gurren, probably because in both series the main cast is on a ship of some sorts and all characters have more personality to them than the standard side character does.

These two series aired a season apart in 2007, and are both about lolis on mecha. Sky Girls is, however, far better than Xenoglossia :]

Both are comedies about the lead girl accessively loving anime and all things related to anime, and both are incredibly funny if you like that kind of thing ^^

They're both about girls who want to make their career out of singing. However, Lemon Angel Project is a little bit more serious than Kirarin, and has a stronger storyline.

Well, they're both BL, but Loveless has less than Junjou. Anyway, I enjoyed them both, so other people might do too ^^

In both of these series the characters are very standard and are rather recycled. That's the first similarity I noticed. The second is how long it took for the main guy to admit his feelings for the main girl. Also, the main girls are so pretty! Both are laid back series and are generally a nice watch with storylines that aren't too intense ;3

Both have very strong war storylines, and yet are both absolutely amazing. If you like one then you are sure to like the other.
