There is a story, but you won't see it unless you look for it.
There are character development, but you won't know about it unless you read between the lines.
It is very fun, but only for those who can understand this very specific kind of humor.
Seriously though, if you like original Ragnarök online and are nostalgic for that great dating service, go watch this anime right now.
Otherwise check the first few episodes to see if you're into this kind of humor and don't bother if you're not.

Unlike many other similar projectus, this one does actually have a complete story.
Does the story make sense? It makes minimal sense. Is it an interesting story? No, not really. Does it teach us something important? Actually yes, about importance of friendship and relationships. So yes, it's not great, and not very deep, but it is still nice and it doesn't leave you dissatisfied, like many other projectus do. Is the art style cute? Yes. Is this anime about cute girls doing cute things? Yes. Are these girls seen naked? Yes. ...

This movie is just pure love.
It shows the very pinnacle of feelings and emotions and it does so in an unbelievably good way. It's old-school in a very good way. Attention to detail, animations, sound, composition, story, characters and everything else is top of the top. And it's not too old-school, so the art style doesn't look aged, the opposite of that, even nowadays it looks much better than anything modern. The story is "aww", the scenes are "wow" and the movie overall is "aaa". You can feel how important and well thought every small detail is. And, like a good old school anime, it starts easy to not overwhelm you ...

Watching this garbage is like a torture, it makes me feel pain. It's stupid, it's shallow, it's baseless and also it's poorly drawn. There are no characters, there's no story, there's no logic, there's no action and it doesn't even try to make any sense. And it is also so boring, I'd rather watch paint dry than this. No, really, if you're into drool, you'll love it. If not, there's nothing interesting here. The story may look like there's something to it, but there actually ain't. It's just another weird chuni-girl, there's no reason for her actions, there's no hidden plot, there's nothing. She's just crazy, that's all. Not everybody would like it, but this only makes it better for those who will. Because you can't be a masterpiece loved by everybody. Because the only way to have something not disliked by anyone is to have nothing. This one have some controversial stuff. And I'd prefer it to have less of it to be honest. But it's ain't bad enough to distract for the good. And oh boy does it have good. ...

Look, it's an anime about people who are good at playing music.
Yeah, look, don't listen, because the music they are playing is mediocre at best and actually awful. But they never stop blowing their own horn. And the same goes with romance. It's an anime about a boy who loves a girl and they have sorta-relationships. Or not. Who cares. The boy sure doesn't, and the girl is as concerned and is feeling as much as a corpse. This anime is as shallow as a dry poddle. It's a shame they've wasted such quality art on it. ...

Yet another Japanese "projektu".
Let me tell you what's wrong with these projectus: it's exactly the same problem early access video games have nowadays, people just throw in shallowest ideas that sound cool in hopes that it will stick. Let me tell what is wrong with this: good idea doesn't need to sound cool and different from the first glance, good idea needs to result in something deep and complete; cool sounding shallow ideas never work in the long term because there is no depth nor completeness. This is why so many early access video games only leave early access by becoming abandonware. This is why so many projectus ...

But seriously, all and every one of you butthurting ones, you knew there's guro before you started watching.
This is just a short story about close family relationships in a very uneasy situation. Surely we saw better stories than this one, but we also saw many more much worse stories. I can't really tell you much else without spoiling the story, but just either enjoy some visual and audial guro or go somewhere else. This one is not great, but it was well worth ~30 minutes it took to complete. Also, dear myanimelist, how am I supposed to write a longer review for a ~30 minutes long anime densely packed ... |
