Yes, I started watching this fully understanding that this is basically a hentai. I am very particular about the hentai I watch, it has to:
-seem realistic
-involve the female being pleasured (because equality and I am a woman)
-be consensual
Although some parts of this "anime" are iffy with how realistic it would be. However, after watching it a second time, I realize that everything was with love and pleasure in mind. Not rapey, gang-bangy, or anything else like that.
I also like that the characters stayed faithful. Usually, the guy goes around having sex with a bunch of girls. Not so much here.

I didn't have very high expectations, being the rating was only a 7.6. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't want to spoil too much, but I assumed that the end would be predictable as ever... but it was not what I expected. Maybe I'm just emotional, but I cried towards the end. I personally felt that the story developed much better with greater emotion towards the end of the series, which is why it may be off putting: it does change half way. I felt for the better, though some people may say it changed for the worse.

As my user name implies, I am a fan of the shoujo genera. In hopes of finding a slice of life romance anime, I decided to try Golden Time. In comparison to other animes I had watched at the time, I felt that Sankrea was left too open ended for acceptance. In response to my unsatisfied conscience, I started to read the manga. I expected the main plot to have many events scattered all over the manga in a jumbled order to give humor. In contrast, the manga was extraordinarily intriguing for the plot was well planned out as well as hit my emotions in both positive and negative standpoints.
