First of all, every negative comment about this hidden gem is quite undeserved, IMHO. This is an anime to remember, not forget, as Lunar-Anime mistranslated.
You should pay a lot of attention to those little -albeit very important- details about the story, because there's definitely a story and you have to use both logic and imagination to figure it out as you watch each episode. Having said that, I truly recommend this anime to everyone that is willing to appreciate a good suspense and mysterious drama with romance and comedy.
The director for this series is Yousei Morino, the alter-ego to Shigenori Kagayama, in what I'd call
...
his 'good' side, because unlike all the ecchi-nonsensical series he's made, Kakyuusei 2 stands, with Pia Carrot 2DX and -to a lesser extent- ONE ~Kagayatsu kisetsu he~ (he could only do so much with just 4 episodes), as his best works, all of those he not only directs but screenplays.
The animation ARMS threw together is tolerable, the character designs are quite appealing but beware of the QUALITY because is in almost every episode (this was a low-budget show made in 2004). Nonetheless, the story grows on you as does the music (Repetitive? Yes, but it does the job of keeping the suspense/mystery going throughout the whole series).
Overall, it kinda grew more on me than I thought it would, so I fully recommend it.

sola is one of those little gems that comes once every few years, and I'd recommend it to absolutely everyone... Why? Because IMHO I don't think that there's a person who wouldn't enjoy it.
The story is quite something, the mystery starts at the first episode but every episode what you originally thought how the story was going to develop, turns out to be even more mysterious, suspense keeps increasing every episode and to me that is something very important in a series, that grasps you in a way that you desperately want to know what is going on and that the main story is not

only great but just plain awesome!
In regards to the animation, I honestly believe this is studio NOMAD's best series yet, I've seen some of their other works and by far, sola is the best one when it comes to animation, background detail, and character animation consistency.
When it comes to the music, Ceui's Bikan no Fuukei (first episode opening theme and insert song in some of the episodes) is my favorite song of the series. The OP/ED themes are good, but Bikan no Fuukei is soooo related to the story and the characters that if it were the _only_ song featured in this anime, it'd be OK :P.
Overall, if you like fantasy, romance, sibling-love (not the bro-con/sis-con one, you have a lot of choices for that one) and drama, this is a must watch! ;)

Uraboku is simply one of those manga to anime adaptations that started with a lot of potential, every episode revealed more of the main story until the end of the series was near and instead of resolving the plot, new characters start to appear (only two of them were somewhat important), and more questions are left unanswered. Furthermore, what appears to be the "final battle" that could either end as a reset (let's all reincarnate again and continue the endless 1000-year fight) or a resolution, actually ended as "let's leave things in suspense, continue our ordinary lives and wait to resume the battle". all be understandable, seeing as the manga is still being published and the anime was slated for two cours (24 episodes), and has been done before with nicer story flow, unlike what happened in the last episodes of this series. It could also be that Natsuko Takahashi (series scriptwriter) repeated her Spiral strategy.
Animation wise, J.C. Staff's A-Team was superb as usual, huge amount of details in backgrounds and characters, nicely animated fight scenes (although the CG was somewhat weird and sometimes out of place) and a very good quality overall.
In regards to the Music department, soundtrack wise was so-so, OP1 and ED1 themes were good and enjoyable, but OP2 an ED2 were decent at best.
Overall I think if the series had been produced after finishing the manga, with 52 episodes, and with an intention of explaining more accurately what happened in previous battles/lifes, and resolving the ultimate battle, it could have been a lot better; hence, I'll give it a 7/10 instead of a 6 or 5 because the animation was great and so were the first 16 episodes.

Upon finishing this series, I just had to make a review of it :D
* Story *
I must say, even for a shoujo title, this story has a lot of originality as well as taking advantage of the same old clichés but with a twist. With Nabeshin as director, I couldn't expect any less, as he makes every episode hilarious! And it's nice to see the series has its serious and dramatic moments, and when you see them, you'll crave for more, seriously.
Sunako-chan is quite a character, and you'll love her from the getgo. She is a very special girl, and she suffered quite a lot

from a mid-school drama. Be sure to pay attention to the series as this is revealed in the first episode and repeated a couple of times more, and it's the reason she locks herself to the world and considers everyone else a "dazzling creature", even though she's really beautiful behind that odd and scary exterior.
She doesn't have any confidence, and she constantly is having nosebleeds upon seeing beautiful people, so living in a house with 4 bishounen is not easy for her! Deep inside, she is very careful and fond of the people around her.
Kyouhei is a very rude boy and food is what drives his mind, and you'll find him very obnoxious, until you begin to see his true self, and he doesn't show it clear, so you'll have to keep an eye to find out! He'll begin to care for Sunako-chan as he sees her true self.
This is a comedy series, but it has its romantic touchs here and there, and of course some drama, but remember that comedy is what drives this series! So it's not your conventional shoujo.
* Animation *
Most likely a low budget was responsible of this: the animation was fair and dit the job, but could've been a lot better. The first opening video was made of recycled scenes from the first episode, and until eps. 14 we see a new opening video with original animation.
The series over emphasizes the use of chibi-formed characters, specially with Sunako. Even though chibi = funny and it's always appreciated, I think they overdid it with Sunako-chan, as we get to see her true form a limited amount of times.
* Sound *
The soundtrack was decent, and played along the theme of the series. The opening song was good, the first ending was passable, but the second ending theme (by BON-BON BLANCO) was very good.
The seiyuus for the series were excellent and they did a wonderful job with their roles.
* Enjoyment *
A 10 withouth a doubt, you'll laugh a lot, and even shed a few tears from time to time!
* Overall *
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge was a pleasant adventure from the start, and it's loaded with entertainment and fun, with hints of romance and even some drama. And if you happen to be a fan of Nabeshin (Shinichi Watanabe) then you're in for a treat.
I'd like to see a second season of the series, though, as the story continues. With the manga still running, it's a possibility we'll get to see more of Sunako-chan and the boys sometime!
8/10 -- Very Good!

Contrary to your average series, Myself;Yourself is unlike any other game to anime adaptations. First of all, the visual novel for the series wasn't released when the TV series had been approved, thus making impossible to compare it to a previous work.
I don't know what kind of visual novel M;Y will be, but if it's anything like the TV series, then it must be a great one. Sure, the settings and motifs are not unique, but, seriously, what is unique nowadays? seem a tad rush in the final episode, and some side-stories weren't exactly resolved (while are hints that indicate they are, it'd been great to see them actually happen, and also, a story for Aoi-chan would've been great too).
As far as the animation goes, Doga Kobo made a great job on this series, which is a very good thing in these times when anime budgets are not exactly high, and dropouts in quality ocurr more often; but you won't see any inconsistencies in the animation in Myself;Yourself, every episode has the same amount of quality as the one before!
The music on this series, both OP/ED themes and OST, are excellent, even though the OP has that genki-genki happy-happy feeling that doesn't fit well with the plot, it fits the whole series very well, as it reminisces the happy moments that were present.
The characters, well, may seem like typical, but trust me, they're NOT typical, and their personal issues flow episode by episode, making you eager to know what's next and to find out their past experiences. Each and everyone of them have their own importance, and you'll manage to like them all.
Overall, I think Myself;Yourself deserves a 9 out of 10 for being a nice surprise and sticking with a great quality from its beggining to its closure, and I'd recommend it to any anime fan who appreciates a nice romance drama series.

School Days starts as your typical run of the mill highschool love comedy/drama series. As the episodes go, the feeling of Kiminozo sorrounds you until the main character is misleaded by one of the main girls that sex doesn't mean you have to be in love with the person, or less alone care for it; so, we have a typical boy who doesn't stand out, that begins to sleep with basically every female on the school, and at the same time has a shy and naive girlfriend who is trying her best to overcome her intimacy problems because she loves him a lot. girl that started this whole bizarre plot was the person who sat next to him at class, who then becomes his friend at trying to succeed on dating the girl he likes. This is not your typical love comedy harem series, as it deals with psychological and mental issues of the main characters (mostly at the final 4 episodes).
Even when you can't see it, there are strong leads that advise you of the type of ending this series will have. Just remember to look closely and the ending won't take you as such a strong surprise.
The music (both theme songs and OST) is superb, save for the generic haremy opening.
As for the animation, TNK has proven to be an inconsistent studio, that can produce high quality works in animation such as Kannazuki no Miko, and then you have School Days, who has mediocre backgrounds and inconsistencies on the character design (specially on some scenes of the final episode).
Overall I'd give it a solid 7.
