The reason why I scored this anime on a 4 is mainly because of the side characters in this anime. The first episode was really enjoyable after the half way point because I didn't know that such a plottwist about the main character's character would be revealed. During the second episode it was also still okay but the side characters, mainly Himawari and Cosmos started to annoy me. The main character luckily also agreed that they were annoying and manipulative.

However after reaching episode 5, the main character made up with his friends and they sat together as if nothing happened. Sun, MC's best friend was ... a manipulative bastard, Cosmos and Himawari used their charms to get their way with MC, even taking him out on dates, making him feel bad if they were actually in the wrong etc..

I really liked MC's character, but the rest of the cast just made these series not enjoyable to watch, is why I dropped it early on.

I don't even know where to begin..

It is a trainwreck of a story where the female lead claims to dislike guys because she thinks they are disgusting and rude, unlike girls. Her dislike of guys is too overdone and the source of this phobia is literally because of a guy growing armpit hair.

Okay so it's a shoujo manga, things are supposed to be overdone. I agree, the only problem is that she falls in love with a guy who rightfully disagrees with her dislike of boys and teases her about it. She fell so easily for him it was as if she didn't dislike boys ... at all. There was little to no inner conflict, and it turned out to be that this guy already had a girlfriend ( whose personality is bland). It felt like the girlfriend was only there to fill the 'jealous' girlfriend archetype that you see in so many shoujo manga's.

I had to drop the manga. The lead characters are bland and stereotypical, same goes for the art.

Definitely not recommended.

I honestly thought this manga would be your typical Shoujo manga (which I definitely do like) however this manga brought up so much more. The lead character is an introvert caused by a past trauma whose only friend is a bird. She befriends a boy in her class after finding out a very troubling secret about him. Under any other circumstances they would've probably never befriended each other.

The story is well-developed and the characters also develop throughout the story (especially the main character). What I also really love about this manga is that the author made the main male lead a crybaby. This is honestly ... rarely seen in Shoujo manga, and surprised me because it fit the story so well.

1. Well developed characters and backstories for the lead characters
2. Unique characteristics added to the lead characters
3. An emotional story that makes you think
4. A heart-warming read.

Definitely recommended.
