Disney has Kingdom Hearts and W.I.T.C.H. wich are both great series, but that's as close to the world of Manga they should've gotten, and High School Musical: The Manga proves it.
It's an overused load of BS story that was already a corporately-whored out ripoff of another series (Grease, wich was GREAT) that tells the tale of a bunch of fairytale endings in High School. I'm gonna put this out now by saying that I'm in High School right now, and it's NOTHING like this BS. Hell, Rosario+Vampire is a more accurate depiction of High School life than this load of crap is.

Code Geass R2 shows the world what a sequel is SUPPOSED to be: Better than the original.
R2 picks up a year after the cliffhanger ending of the first season, and from the get-go doesn't dissapoint. The first episode has a certain irony to it, and fans of the first series will be able to spot it. The rest of the series is better than anything M Night Shyamalan could ever write, with twists and turns around every corner, flawlessly coupled with cute girls, giant robots, and magical powers. This is one of those animes that makes you feel bad for downloading it for free off the ...

Bitter Virgin is a great manga for people that need a reason to be cheerful, or people that simply like a good drama. I'll be honest though, it CAN be pretty depressing sometimes.
It's a good read, so long as you're the type of person that can handle depression well. The story flow is nice, the characters are an excellent representation of human nature, and it's very well drawn. I can't promise you'll enjoy it, but after taking a few anti-depressants you'll appreciate it as a work of art. NOTE: Please don't ACTUALLY take anti-depressants after reading this, unless you're supposed to.

NOTE: The ratings above are what I actually feel. They're not an exaggeration, at least not in my opinion.
This anime combines the thriller/logic of Death Note with the Mecha genre. It also provides a mild insight into politics. You could read the manga, but it cuts short.

I personally LOVED this anime, the only real problem was that it was left dangling....
Like my review almost was just now. In any case, the only good reason someone should watch this over reading the manga is to see the tricks in motion. The manga's way better. A warning, though, there IS nudity in it, and it's not really wise to watch it when someone could be looking over your shoulder. |
