Kino no Tabi or Kino's Journey in English is not one of those slice of life shows that travels around the world shooting bad guys and whatnot. It's an episodic series about Kino and here companion Hermes (a talking motorcycle) that travels throughout their world/universe for an unknown cause. One of the most underrated anime series ever to hit the USA. Also if you love the video game series ace combat you are in for a treat. From the first opening scene before the opening song of the first episode makes modern anime look like a joke for instance that scene no the whole movie is DRAWN BY HAND. Speaking of aerial dogfights the whole film when it shows them the animators with the help of the director brings them not just with great detail but also breaths them into life. For starters let me say besides watching this series over and over again. I have to be honest here. READ THE MANGA that's all I have to say first of the characters are pretty bland for the most part (read the manga to understand the characters more).The plot is very simple and bland for a martial arts series. Despite being a nine out of ten I have to say I HAD A BLAST WITH THIS ANIME SERIES DESPITE IT'S HEAVY FLAWS! The story had some issues it takes place in a isolated island where people with special powers called alters reside and as a result an organization called holy are sent there from the main land to make sure the alters are under their control. I WISHED THIS WAS TURNED TO A FULL FLEDGED ANIME SERIES for fate's next 10 anniversary. Because this short work looked like it was going to be an announcement as the next big fate anime project. but it was an awesome commercial instead. The animation is top notch even if it isn't be utotable. and the fight scenes between gigamesh and male saber are epic. the female version of shirou is annoying as hell despite understanding to wanting to do anything with the holy grail war. This series started off really good until the LAST SIX EPISODES. Kinda sucks because it was well written at the beginning too main character gets kidnapped by a nefarious organization and force himself to learn how to kill to survive. As a result he changes from a normal boy to one of the top assassins in all of inferno. the main female lead Ein is raised from a young age to be an assassin and the former best assassin but as a result she barely/has no emotions whats so ever. the other characters are forgettable like one of the characters reminds me of that one

Before I begin let me say that I used to kinda like the series when the first episode came out. Then as the series progresses it began to suck even more and more. To the point of feeling unconformable to even watch an episode due to the plot and character interaction. That reminds the the PLOT.....YEAH THE PLOT after 12000 years after the first series the new characters have some similarities of the old series back in 2005 but that didn't help from preventing itself from SUCKING EVEN MORE. I forgot about most of the story because it became convoluted to the point of confusion

Where to begin with my short review here Oh yes the story is really weak but that makes this a dumb fun rule of cool popcorn movie to begin with. The characters besides the main lead Jubei Kibagami and the villain Genma the rest of the characters are pretty forgettable.the OST is pretty weak and not remember able at all. The Animation on the fight scenes and in general is pretty good in my opinion. MY GOD where to begin with this review of this awesome piece of work by Kentaro Mura all I have to say that the golden age arc is one of best story arc in manga that I ever ENCOUNTERED to the to the point the golden age arc can really be it's own series. And it SURPASSES the western kindergarten tale of Game of Thrones (sorry game of throne fans). Also it doesnt end at the golden egg arc but instead takes place before the story begins and how the main character develops overtime. Also explains how is best friend is now his greatest enemy
