I can't believe it... Still, it has actually happened. The hentai OVA made it to highest score in both my list and mind. How that happened, you ask? It's just that it has several things that matter the most: an interesting story, a great soundtrack, an ability to arouse sexually (for hentai only) and most importantly, an overall sense, a message, if you want. It was clear from the first frames that it's different from the most hentai OVAs out there, but I couldn't even imagine the extent of it

This is not even about the basketball. Of course here are your typical shonen overcoming for the sake of being stronger (or smarter) than before. But overall it's a poor comedy that intends to set you laughing but instead you may find yourself glancing at the clock, or at the gun on the wall. Or what you usually look at in the moments like this. Yes, you need to laugh now, at the very least, it's the only chance to laugh due to this product.

Nine minutes about... nothing. That's an obvious filler, you're right. Sorry, can't do nothing about it, but it's still funny) And perfectly fulfills the role of chewing gum for the viewer without touching your thought processes: you chew it up and spit it out. It's not the one that'll make you pee with the boiling water, or even remember it, but surely the one that won't let you get bored

So this is another OVA of the famous title, huh? Mmm, cool, you probably think if you're a fan. Must be average, you rather think if you aren't. And I'd say yes, this is middling. But, it's a strong one.
This episode tells us about Kuroko's beingness at the time of Teiko and how he managed to overcome his weaknesses. It also covers prehistory of Aomine's demeanor. On the plus side here — it's a long-awaited piece of the story, that makes it more interesting and clearer, with no apparent flaws. On the minus, it makes no advances as well: same art, same sound, and of ...

Like the another OVA of title, "Magical Heart Kokoro-chan", this is comedy. Unlike it, this isn't funny. You can say, "plot isn't so stupid and childish like MHKC, so why it's should be worse?" Because seeming seriousness completely ruins all its attempts to be funny, while the stupidity (the real one, not flashy as in MHKC) doesn't let to perceive it like a sensible story. In the end there is my favourite tune of title name inserted (no other word for this), which is the keynote, the summary of the original series, the expression of all the mood, all the characters hopes and aspirations... This episode is a game promo, so it may be treated only as its commercial, or the anime series preview. It perfectly fullfills the requirements, but nothing more than that. Actually, it's slightly rescripted first episode, or vice versa, doesn't matter. If you seen the ONA, you don't need to watch the first episode, if you seen the first episode... you know the rest. After that oppressive feelings of School Days TV some may want to relax and some may want to prolong acquaintance with beloved characters. And this OVA meet the both wishes!
This thing may seem the mediocre mahou-shojo story. In fact it is, but in parody form, for the everything: mahou-shoujo itself, School Days original plot, deadly seriousness, even the broadcasting issues. Not necessarily you would laugh at it, but the worldly-wise smile will constantly be on your face for sure. It's great way to take a new look on your favourite title. And what else is needed? |
