Kidou Senshi Gundam SEED Destiny

Gundam SEED Destiny was basicaly a rerun of the original SEED (same basic storyline) and that along with the quite limited part Kira Yamato played (also because noone liked the fact that he lost) were reasons enough for it to come in 2nd far behind from the original SEED. Luckily if the movie ever gets released it may change the opinion of the world, who knows.

Compared to the original SEED, Destiny was not as good and it left many things unanswered at the final episodes, things that sunrise answered with this Final Plus episode. True it may not add many things but it fills several gaps and at the end it paves the way for the SEED movie we've been waiting since forever to come out....Hopefully someday it will.

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia

I wasn't too sure about Tasogare Otome x Amnesia since i mostly watch anime with fights and battles in them however in a weird twist of events the mostly funny storyline coupled with the main characters have won me over and so this is clearly one of the best non-combat anime of 2011-2012.

Without doubt one of the worst anime to air in 2011-2012 is the latest Gundam AGE. This is the first time we see such an attempt by Sunrise and it's really bad. I can go as far as to call it a disgrace to the entire Gundam franchise, an anime aimed at 5-10 year olds with mecha and ship designs stolen from SEED and 00. Truly a failure and i sincerely hope we never get to see something like this air ever again.

Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan

The main story and characters of Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan start to unravell very slowly and so 90% of the time the main "cast" makes and delivers bread. Of course at the time of this review only 7 episodes have aired so i hope (and makes sense if it does) something will change soon, if not then it's been a waste of time.

The new Fate Zero (both seasons) may not live up to its predecessor (just like most new anime launched in 2011-2012) but it does feature some of the same characters in an effort to make it more "familiar" to anyone who's watched Fate Night and it works. Plenty of battles, in-depth description of the main characters and a small dosage of emotions (in the 2nd season) make this one of the few anime airing currently worth of your time, or some of it anyways.

Although it's clear that the man behind accel world wants to pass a message to bullied kids around the world (that they can be special) this is actually a very good anime. It's a bit over the edge in terms of emotions (mostly foolish ones due to the age of the characters) but it makes up with tons of effects and plenty of battles. A must see in my list.

Some say that there can be no sequel as good as they original and the E7 Astral Ocean is proof of that.
I can understand the need to attract young ages but the new E7AO compared to the original E7 is what the new Gundam AGE is compared to Gundam SEED/00 and what the new Aquarion EVOL is compared to the original Aquarion. The characters of E7AO have no depth, there's almost zero emotion coming from the series (neither laughter nor sorrow), the entire storyline makes little sense compared to what happened with the original and there are countless unanswered questions.
