Well, I was definitely not mature and got in a lot of trouble when I was young. A problem child, if you've heard that term before. However, sure. Maybe some aspect of me was a bit more mature than most other boys.
Well, if you enjoy it, then that's really what matters most. Or at least one of the most important things. I did not enjoy writing mine, however I did enjoy researching for it.
Yes, I also think they are similar. Great minds indeed think alike. XD
I'm glad everything has worked out with your teachers/professors so far. I did get along really well with my two advisors. I was just taking random Sociology & History classes and they both actually approached me first about my major in History and my minor in Sociology. They basically both told me that I had taken most of the required courses for the major and minor, so I would only need to take something like 2 courses each. I was like sure. I hadn't even thought about what subjects I would focus on.
I commute to work. I live about 35 minutes away from my job, so snow to me means possible death by car accident, haha.
I'm glad that we get along as well.
Well, in America, there are many people these days that don't actually work hard, or just have it so easy that they don't really need to. I'm also a hard worker and I realize that I still have a long way to go to be where I'm at with work. I started at my job's shipping department, which was basically considered the hardest job in the shop. I somehow was able to convince my current boss that I have more to offer, so now I have a desk job in the office and I'm in charge of the company's shipping logistics. Basically, I help to solve any problems, sometimes I help customers, sometimes I help customer service, I deal with customs, etc etc etc... Lot's of things.

Well, I've always been interested in sex, so I was easily inspired, haha. I was never that little kid that ran from girls because I didn't like them. I always knew I liked women.
Wow, your thesis sounds so much more responsible than mine, haha. It seems like we studied similar topics, as Psychology and Sociology are actually quite similar. I also wanted to bring my two subjects together, however my college didn't offer that combination. There was a Sociology & Anthropology combo, but I wasn't into that, and I didn't get along with the main Anthropology professor.
California was nice, because there were only two seasons. Summer & Autumn. There was basically no spring or winter. I like to see the change as well; however, I don't like scraping snow off of my car early in the morning so I can get to work on time.
Yes, I enjoy conversations with friendly people, which is why I have been enjoying this conversation. You are very friendly, it seems. Many people underestimate how important food is, so it is lovely. GOOD food is lovely.
Working hard is considered an intelligent ability in many cultures. The fact that you realize you should work hard is a green flag.
You should take the compliment, because you earned it.

It's a sweet and savory thing.
Nice! Haha, well that's an interesting question. I also minored in Sociology, so my "thesis" or final project was on how women's sexuality progressed from the 1970's in America up until when I did the project. I read this really good book called "Sexuality In Medieval Europe: Doing Unto Others" early in college and it inspired me to delve deeper into the historical topic of sexuality. What was your thesis on?
Well, it snows during the winter (that didn't happen in California where I used to live) and it can get pretty hot in the summer, however I like it here. People are very friendly here. Also, there are a lot of food options here. You can pretty much get any cuisine from around the world.
So, we both prefer subs and we both were smart enough to study History. I feel like we're both pretty smart. XD

Again, it's an American thing. It's not really "on" the meat. It's mixed in with the meat or it's cured with the meat. Not really like turkey & cranberry sauce, like we have for Thanksgiving.
My mom is a big history buff, and I majored in History in college, so yeah. It was interesting. The food part was also good, since I'm a foodie.
Well, I live in Colorado now. However, people are calling it the new California.
Yes, Romance makes the story much better.
Yeah, and I don't want my precious anime characters sounding like a rich, dumb blonde. I want them sounding Japanese. XD

Most breakfast foods here are sweet. Pancakes, waffles, french toast, donuts... Even the bacon and sausage sometimes have maple syrup or some type of sugar. On top of that, people are probably going to have some sort of fruit juice as well, which most of the time is just sugar water, as if the juice isn't cold pressed, it's probably been heated, thus losing all of the nutrients.
Solvang is an old town, meaning they have horse pulled carriages and everyone dresses old fashioned. I did like going there, but mostly for the food.
OK, a lot of restaurants in the state I live in do that. They source ingredients from local farms daily, so their food is always fresh.
Agreed. After I watched a ton of Ecchi Harem anime, I realized I liked them a lot more when actual romance was involved.
Yes, a valley girl is kind of like the dumb blond stereotype. But, also rich, since they live in the valley.

Sticking to it isn't difficult. Most people see other, "more attractive" people, and instantly convince themselves they wouldn't be able to achieve the same body, which is why starting is the hardest part. Once we realize we can lose the weight, gain the muscles, have better skin, etc... Then we can keep it up. I'm really lazy, tbh, so I can tell you with honesty it's not hard to stick to it. It's starting that difficult.
Yes, for breakfast. As you may know, Americans tend to eat sweets for breakfast. Æbleskrivers (I just copy and pasted what you typed, since I can't do the AE thing on my keyboard) are like pancakes, which are a type of American breakfast food, so of course my mom would make them for breakfast. There is a city where I used to live in Souther California called Solvang that has many Danish style buildings, products, and food. My mom loved to bring us there.
So, the new Nordic is just trying to take advantage of what's available in the fresh market?
Yeah, Romance really is key in anime. That's why I stopped watch Ecchi. I was tired of watching idiot male protagonists slip on bananas and fall headfirst into booba. It stopped being funny after the thousandth time.
Yes, because their main argument is that I haven't watched it, since I watch subs. Well, if I watch the dubs too, then I kill their argument.
A valley girl is a teenage girl or younger woman that is from the hills. Rich, pretty, not necessarily too smart, and really fashionable. Think Barbie, but if she were real. Barbie would be a valley girl. And yes, the term valley girl originated in the state I'm from, California.
CLYDESDALE May 2, 3:51 PM
Yeah, especially since I was ordering out a lot and eating fast food. The hardest part is starting, but it does get bland eating the same things all the time.
I've had Danish cooking before, but it was when I was really young, so I don't remember much. My mom used to make us aebleskivers for breakfast. I'll have to check out new Nordic cooking. Sounds interesting.
I also enjoy anime more, though manga is pretty much the only thing I'll read in my free time, besides maybe interesting self help books, but even that's rare. I used to only read Ecchi/Hentai, but I grew tired of that. I mainly enjoy Shounen/Seinen/Comedy/Action-Fighting now. It's also nice if there's some Romance as well.
I only watched the dubs, because so many people I met kept saying how certain dubbed anime were good, or even better than the subs and I just thought that was ridiculous, so I had to see.
The English dubs have most female characters sounding like valley girls, and everything just sounds less believable, but that's just me. I don't try to argue as much as I just let them know "I watched both and sub was better".
Yeah, but again it's not something I use. I know many people who do use it, though.

Diets are like recipes themselves. They take planning if they are to be pulled off correctly. When I was just doing the carnivore diet, I had to buy food online most of the time, because it required grassfed organic beef/steak, which is hard to find, and I couldn't eat at work, because I'm against using microwaves. I had to cook all of my own meals as well, so no restaurant food during that time, since we can never be sure exactly how restaurants prepare their food. Now, the worst is that I love sushi, but have to be very careful what I get, as mostly everything is made with seed oils, soy (the bad kind), and tons of sugar.
What is common cuisine in Denmark? I would assume that different areas of the country have different kind of food, much like the US.
I read manga during downtime at work, and I'm already caught up with all the other manga I've been reading, so I've been looking for something else to binge and get caught up with.
To be fair, I watched both the first and second season of SAO. One thing that bothers me is when people judge something without even watching it, just to hate on it. I'm a sub > dub person when it comes to anime, but I'll even watch dubbed versions people claim are better just so I can argue with them with valid points.
OK, then we both agree about ratings. MAL also now has the date functions so you can list when you actually watched the anime and remember where you were at in your life when you watched it, which is cool.
CLYDESDALE Apr 28, 9:01 AM
It definitely can, but I was concerned about what was making the noise when I woke up without a clue that it was even raining to begin with.
We have a saying here. April showers bring May flowers. You may have heard of that before, but it's basically like if you're going through a rough time, but endure, then you'll come out on top in the end. I am sending good vibes to Denmark for the rain, though.
The most difficult part about the diet is just starting, since we are groomed to be addicted to unhealthy, ultra-process foods even before we're born (Whatever the mother eats during pregnancy... etc.)
I might just pick up the Iruma-kun manga at this point. I'd also like another season.
To be fair, I don't hate on anyone for liking SAO, but it's enjoyable to make fun of them for it, because so many people hate it, haha.
I can't agree more. 70% of what's on my list is terrible. I have a rule, though. I won't change my initial rating of an anime no matter what, so there's a lot of bad anime on my list that doesn't reflect how I currently feel about said anime.
CLYDESDALE Apr 27, 6:12 AM
Yo,
I'm glad you're doing well. Haha, it was actually raining when I woke up. I could hear it from my chimney, since I tend to sleep in the living room right next to it instead of one of my bedrooms.
I'm trying to be healthy & fit with exercise and organic foods. I do the carnivore diet on the weekends and do a gluten-free, non-seed oil diet that avoids ultra processed ingredients. I did the carnivore diet recently for about a month and a half... Lost over 20 lbs. in under 3 weeks. I'm sure the rest of the world is aware of how bad the average American diet is, so even telling other people this makes me seem crazy, haha.
Iruma-kun had that perfect mix. Not just the cool positive Halloween type theme, but also how he just wants everyone to get along and actually cares. I will admit that I loved it more when Iruma went "evil" and got the Royal One classroom.
Haha, I admit I enjoyed it, but everyone hates on it. One of those anime that I watched early on, then realized that there were others I enjoyed much more, if that makes sense. I agree with what you said. To be fair, it's a solid anime. My buddy made an AMV about it, which is awesome.

CLYDESDALE Apr 26, 9:14 AM
Yo, how's it going? I don't always comment on friend requests, however my father was actually Norwegian (I saw you're from Denmark), and I liked that you had Iruma-kun as one of your favorite anime. It concerned me that you have two SAO characters as favorites, as well as SAO as your favorite anime, but I'm willing to overlook that.
