This author has a thing for mahou shoujos and extremelly disgusting characters. I found Mahou Shoujo Site after reading Mahou Shoujo of the End. The similarities: a lot of gore, a twisted vision of mahou shoujos and one extremely disgusting character.
While MSotE relies a lot of on its very complicated plot and gore scenes (being a trully horror manga), MSSis all about the characters and their developments. The plot (at least so far) is a lot simplier and less dramatic and the characters are overall way more likeable. There is also way less gore. However, its very enigmatic as well. wands to become mahou shoujos? Whats the tempest really about? Why men can become mahou shoujos as well? Whats the real intentions behind the sites admins? And what are they?
The art style is decent. He know how to draw in cute way for cute moments, and how to change the style into something darker for the twisted moments. However, like in MSotE, he just cant draw a sexy woman body. They all look weird when waring more showing clothes, maybe its intentional.
It's an overall extremelly enjoyable manga. I've read all the currently available chapters in one go.If you're into darker stories and art ( i'm currently all about these), this manga is for you.

Mahou Shoujo of The End had me at the title itself.A dark approach to the usually happy and colorful magical girls got me interested. I was expecting something like Madoka, but its way more like High School of the Dead.
This manga is all about mystery, gore, unexpected twists and really unconventional characters. It also amazing the level of crazyness: the look of the mahou shoujos, their creative way of killing, how the characters develop...The comic relief always comes from the least expected person. The plot itself is also pretty confusing and has some plenty of (at least for me) "i totally didnt see this coming"

moments. So yeah, its hard to get bored with this manga.
So far, I've read all currently available 39 chapters and it seems from explaining everything, and its still very enjoyable.

This is a review from someone who DID NOT read the visual novel, and watched Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero and Unlimited Blade Works in this order.
At 1st, I imagine this would be just like Fate/Stay Night with a Rin route, but it turns out completely different from the 2006 anime. Aside from episode 1, its a totally different story. I still recommend watching it so you can get a better understanding of the whole story. And please, watch Fate/Zero before watching UBW.

money was put into it. Fights are fantastic, the effects of lightning and shadows are perfect, the characters look awesome. Its unfair to compare UBW and SN, it would only be fair with Zero, and its still a lot superior.
Now, the show has 2 problems: pacing and wasted romantic potential. About pacing, you have incredible "fast" episodes where a lot of stuff happens and it seems rushed, while others are a lot slower. And about romance, its always implied that they love each other and eventually have a serious relationship, but again, its ONLY IMPLIED. I don't know about you, but that utherly pisses me off. In every romance story, you watch the whole thing waiting for that one special moment, and when it never happens, I feel like I was fooled the entire time.
Also on this subject, Shirou feels like an emotionless doll all the time. Even he says that he likes he, his expression doesnt demonstrate that it all. Aside from helping and saving her, he does nothing to express his feelings, what makes his "love" sound weird and superficial. Rin is way more expressive.
You have fantastic animation and fighting scenes, a whole new approach to the Fate world and Shirou turns out pretty badass in the end, almost redeeming himself from being an loveless doll. Sadly, I regret that some characters were forgotten midway through the show. Overall, a very entertaining show. Just a few changes from being perfect.

The best way to summarize this anime is: wasted potential.
You have awesome animation, interesting set up, great characters... you have everything that made Mirai Nikki epic, but you wasted everything in rushed, pointless plot. The is a whole mess. Its fun to watch because of the points stated above, but it just doesnt work how it could.
Everything after episode 3 seems rushed. Some developments and character choices just didnt make any sense at any given moment. The original ending is overall stupid. Instead of just adapting whats on manga, they decided to make their own thing and its horrible. You keep watching, hoping that

eventually one episode will glue all the pieces together, but it doesnt.
This anime would have needed at least 26 episodes to properly develop itself. But I guess our japanese friends were too desperate to jump on the "omg its another creation from the mirai nikki author" train and did this mess.
Dont hope for a second season. Your best hope is for an eventual remake in a couple years, hpefully it shall properly adapt the manga.

For sure, the first thing to catch your eye on Kiznaiver its the style. Its just very colorful and beautiful, like, everything, but mostly the characters. And this show is all about them.
The show starts with a lot of mystery. Who are these people? How were they pick? Whats this big project all about? All this gets eventually answered, but the show is all about character development, their relations and the drama built among them. You can expect some very touching moments. You get to eventually know and like every character but the MC, which i cant explain he is "like that" without spoilling.

initial mystery and somehow comedy scenario is slowly replaced byt a suffocating, yeat pleasure to watch drama. Liked Kokoro Connect? It feels A LOT like that. I would love a second season, focused on their relations, but it seems unlikely to happen.
Overall, and intense and enjoyable show.

Awesome animation, great characters and potential to be epic, but somehow it ends mid way to that.
The character style is great, animation is beautiful, there are some fun comedy moments, but it lacks a climax. Its like the whole season was a prologue. No greater villain, no main plot, no goal. It really feals like a teaser for something greater. A second season could probably be epic, but this 1st one was not. It's still very fun to watch, tho.

Having dozens of animes on my HD and sadly short free time, I have to be pricky about what I watch. Its really a bless when one of those turns out to be out of the ordinary, an unique experience, and thats the case with Koi Kaze.
Considering you are at least a bit open minded and able to see yourself in someone's else position, you shall enjoy Koi Kaze. Incest is for sure a taboo in society, but the realistic and mature way KK approaches it makes you completely forget about it and ask yourself "what is the problem? they didnt decide to love it

each other, it just happened, why should they deny their feelings?".
The plot goes around these 2 brothers who grew apart from each other, have a nearly romantic meeting and start to develop mutual feelings, when they suddenly find out to be sibblings. We then watch the drama of their internal struggle, to bury these newborn feelings and see each other as regular brother and sister. But as we all know or eventually will, no one can control the heart to that extent. Between being harsh or mean to each other, trying to abide to personal or social values, their love always find a way to flourish.
Koshiro plays mature part of the dilemma. He fully understands how loving and having sexual desire for his sister is wrong and is deeply tormented by that. He tries to bash the poor girl away in a attempt to not only make her hate him, but also to bury his own feelings. He even moved out of their house in a desperate way to cut all ties before he couldnt restrain himself anymore, while going down the path of depression. He knew it was wrong to have to those feelings, but denying those was killing him.
Nanoka plays the innocent and pure part. Initially trying to be the cutest sister possible, she later realizes her true feelings. Unlike her brother, she doesnt run away; besides knowing those wouldnt be socially accepted, she takes the "why is it wrong?" stance. Not even Koshiro's attempts to make her hate him made she wave. And thats exaclty her pure hearted love and determination that wins not only her brother's, but also the readers' hearts.
With all that else, its implied that the story, the characters and their developments are the shinning jews of the story. The art style is simple, more going towards the realistic style. Voice acting was awesome, to say the least. OP and Ed musics are cool, but there are no BG music that stands out. Maybe because its such a taboo theme, the anime probably didnt receive much funds which resulted in poor animation most of times.
If you were able to break away from society predefined moral rules and enjoied this master piece love story, I recomend you read the manga starting from chapter 27. There are a few subtle changes from the anime that you wont want to miss.

It's hard to describe how awesome, and in how many ways its awesome, this manga is. In one word, its perfect.
I hate romance mangas/animes where you go through dozens of episodes or volumes and a couple only gets together by the last episode, or not even that. I"s thankfully isn't one of those.
We watch how the protagonist ( a male tsundere, as rare as it can be ) tries to convey his feelings for his so unreachable crush, and we see how their relationship goes through high school and into early adult life. Being a man, its amazing how the mangaka inscribed all the doubts

and insecurities a teenager boy has towards love; I can't imagine a better portrait of a 16 years old boy. The best part is, all characters are extremely "real" - nothing against fantasy-based romances like Love Hina -, just like their dramas and most situations in this manga. It's totally a history that could be your own, or your neighbor's of a friend's
We get a lovey dovey romance, crying rivers of tears drama, some extremely funny moments and even some discreet fan service here and there. And to top it off, a not wrists-cutting ending, but rather an enjoyable one.
You will laugh, cheer up for the protagonists and even eventually cry. I can't recommend a better manga for those who enjoy a deep and beautiful romance.

I'm 29 years, its been a while since my high school days, and loves and tears from that time. But reading GE was almost like jumping into a time machine and wath those days again.
I cant say for the girls, but I cant imagine a more accurate image of a high school boy than Utsumi. His dilemmas, his fears, his desires, his uncertains, his mistakes... It was almost like watching at my past self or my friends'. It's amazing how a woman mangaka could understand us so damn well. some situations work of fantasy, the characters and their dramas are so real. Its aroller coaster of feelings, declarations; break ups and make ups, smiles and tears. And it all feels like its something a friend could go through, or even yourself.
The art itself is amazing, every girl is so cutely drawn, even the male characters gota lot of love from the mangaka.
If i were to compare GE with other manga, it would be I's. Both style wise and about how realistic the dramas and dilemas from that age are portraited. I honestly wish I've read this manga when i was 13 or 14ish; it would have thought me a lot.
On top of everything, we didnt get a stupid end like in Ichigo 100%. Despite my favorite girl didnt win, in the end everyone had their own Good Ending.
