I'm trans (ftm) and bisexual and an otaku, which naturally means one thing: I like bls. And while I love bls such as Given or Banana Fish, they're just all so sad, what I really wanted was just an excellent wholesome bl with no tragic backstories or endings; just fun times. My friend recommended Sasaki and Miyano to me and although I was initially skeptical, I did end up watching it and loved every second.

There were two things I loved the most about it. The first is how in some episodes whatever bl trope they were talking about would become a reality yet it ... wasn't as sugarcoated or perfect as the trope- I liked this, I thought it was realistic, and showed this whole fiction v reality thing. The second thing I loved was the scene in the ending between Miyano and Hanzawa where Hanzawa warns him about the struggles that come with two boys dating, stating some people won't get it and might cause them trouble- I found this scene to be really beautiful. Although Japan is getting better with the treatment of LGBT+ people, it is still difficult, especially to two young highschool boys.

Anyway, this anime is adorable and funny with a touch of sweet moments.

If you're a fan of shitposts, then this is the anime for you! A friend recommended this to me and as a connoisseur of bad anime, I had to check it out, and let's just say I was not disappointed. From an objective standpoint, it's terrible- the art style is amateur, the plot is basic, and the characters are hardly developed. However, this was all intentional so it's forgivable. It's honestly one of the best satirical anime I have ever seen. It's hilarious and is reminiscent of Neko Sugar Girls. Each episode is only around 3 minutes long so you can binge it in one ... sitting.

I don't usually drop animes or well, anything, and it is equally as difficult for me to rate anything under a four. I'm a very easily pleased person, so no matter how goofy an anime gets, if you make me laugh I'll most likely give you a decent rating. Not Sword Art Online, however. I first watched it in high school and was fresh into the anime scene, and watching it nearly made me quit anime altogether. I never made it passed the first episode which is something I've only ever done for SAO. Congratulations, you beat statistics. When friends of mine ask for anime ... recommendations, I recommend this as one they should never watch, steer clear from, or pretend it doesn't exist. I wish I could say it was funny bad or it made me laugh but I can't even say that, it just made me depressed.

Not the worst, but definitely not the best, but maybe I have high standards. Some people will like it, but I'm definitely not in that category. I will give it this, however: it's better than Boco no Pico and Yarichin Bitch Club so I'll give it that. It didn't make me want to projectile vomit, it just made me really regret my life choices as a human being which is already a step up from those two I previously mentioned, so congratulations, I guess.
Would I watch this again? Hell no, I respect myself ... too much to do that. Would I recommend this to others? It depends on how much of a degenerate they are.

I've never watched sports anime for sports. It's always been for the characters and story. I've never been athletic or showed much interest in sports, so I rarely gave sports anime a try but I have managed to fall in love with a couple (Haikyuu was the gateway drug)

Stars Align had been on my radar for a while and I was not disappointed by it. It had a great representation of LGBTQ+ people and as a Non-binary person myself, I really appreciated that.

I know some reviewers have complained that every character seems to have some sort of trauma or abuse in their lives, ... which I personally didn't have a problem with. Instead of cramming all the trauma and abuse onto a couple of characters, they spread it out, showed what different types of abuse and trauma looked like in different people.

There course some flaws, such as I think the pacing was a little off at times and sometimes the matches bored me but I think that's just a personal preference more than anything else. I did think the tennis scenes were a little repetitive, but that's the case with most sports anime I've watched.

I also think the people giving it 1 star are being a little harsh. Yes, it's not perfect, but I don't think it totally failed or bombed at what it was going for. I think with more episodes, it could become a really well-rounded anime. They cut it from 24 episodes to only 12 so that makes sense. Still, if a season 2 does come out, I'll be watching!!

I thought the animation was nice, it was simple, but I like simple so it didn't bother me much.


I know some people like to shit on dubs, but the dub was quite good, not many complaints about it.

This review is purely opinions, like most reviews although people like to pass them off as facts. If you like it or loved it (like me) that's fine! If you didn't like it, that's fine too. I'm not an elitist so I have no objections.


The ending was so damn shocking, I need a season 2, just for closure, it can't end like that.

I've always been a fan of simple movies. Movies that aren't too plot heavy. Those simple slice of life animes that depict real life. To me, Ocean Waves was that. Yes it wasn't perfect, and it was slow in some places, but I think it is very underrated and is not given the praise it deserves. Of course it's not the best Studio Ghibli film ever made, but it's not the worse either. I think people step on it too much. It could've been better in some parts, but I think it was a lovely slice of life movie and somehow was able to capture ... the beauty and simplicity of real life. It's very underrated, which is a shame because I thought it was really good and entertaining, well at least for me. But as I said at the start, I like the simple ones sometimes. Please give this film a go. It's probably even in the top 10 anime films for me or at least Studio Ghibli films.

I went into Devilman Crybaby knowing absolutely nothing about it except that it's apparently quite good (of so what I heard among the grapevines). It exceeded all my expectations and was frankly, brilliant.

The story was great, I've seen some reviews saying that the story was awful, it didn't make any sense, was so bad etc. But me personally I didn't see anything wrong with it. I thought the story made sense and everything strung together nicely. I found the premise really interesting and thought the ... execution was really well done. I saw a review say that the anime "rely so heavily on sex and gore" and I disagree. I think sometimes we are not use to seeing such heavy sex and gore in anime (especially mainstream and popular series). I certainly didn't see it coming myself and personally didn't have any problems with it probably because I'm use to that kinda thing, but I thought that the sex and gore didn't take away from the story much.

I loved the art style and found some scenes really beautiful. The soundtrack was dope (I added a few of the songs to my playlist already). Again from the same review I mentioned earlier, they said that the English dialogue was cringey and unnecessary. I personally thought the English dialogue was fine and it was refreshing to see that they didn't just speak in Japanese when they were meant to be speaking English and merely translate it.
Characters were interesting and fun to watch. They were complex and I really felt myself becoming attached to and becoming invested in them.

I know that Devilman Crybaby might be a slap in the face for some people who are not used to how should I say "strange" anime but I say to just give it a shot. It's short, only 10 episodes long, it's a completely unique experience and I applaud it greatly.

Basically just a big shit-post. Not the best yaoi/BL I've ever seen but the comedy was solid in my opinion. There's not point in going into a big analysis over this yaoi and I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously. It's silly and good to watch if you don't want to think for a while.

However I have to make this review long so here's a summary:
Characters a pretty fun and unique
Story/plot isn't that well developed but at least it's there and they're trying.
There's really nothing special about this yaoi but it does have its enjoyable moments.
Kinda wished for more episodes ... as it ends quite abruptly and on a cliffhanger which seemed to come out of nowhere.

As a huge fan of Bungo Stray Dogs I had both high expectations and nervousness about this film-- my main concern was that it wasn't going to be as good as the show. I was wrong-- I really enjoyed this film and thought it was very fun! Although I did have some issues with pacing and scenes ending suddenly, I still really enjoyed it!

The characters were brilliant as always although I wish we could see more of the other characters. The music and animation was dope and the story was enjoyable, although I can see why some fans were upset over this film and that's ... one of the reasons why I was cautious (because I saw people saying that it wasn't good)-- but even so, I think a lot of fans (like myself) enjoyed it!

My main issue was the pacing- the film's pacing was too quick and they didn't leave a whole lot of time to explain much which left me and other viewers confused. I believe this film would've been better as a full season or even half a season so they could take time to really polish it and make it more clear.

So if you're a fan of BSD, give this film a go, it didn't disappoint me and I hope it doesn't disappoint you!

I am a fan of the first season and the manga-- the second season wasn't bad at all and was still very entertaining to watch. My only issue is that it is so short and it ended abrupt and with there being no announcement of a third season I (and many other fans) are left wanting more! I hope they make a third season and make it longer as I was surprised that this season was only 8 episodes long and not 25 like the first season.
Overall, I did enjoy this season and I hope for a season 3, but it certainty wasn't nearly as ... engaging as the first season.
