I figured I knew what I was getting into when I read what Paradise Kiss was about. I like shojo manga and this one looked like a classic one. While what I did get was entertaining and typically shojo in many aspects, it was also a little disappointing and fell flat at times.

felt like there were many many loose ends that weren't elaborated on. And while I have watched anime with a mysterious cliffhanger type of ending that did work, this one didn't. I was just left asking too many questions and wondering why the final episode didn't feel like a last episode at all until the last 5 minutes.
Art- The art is pretty, and a nice adaptation of the manga style. I thought it fit the high fashion style the story was about and the over dramatic clothes and hairstyles really fit in to the scenes well. While the art was pretty, there were visible hiccups in the animation and it didn't always flow as well as it could have.
Sound- The music was good, and the opening and ending songs fit the type of show this is. But one of the things that drove me crazy was the English dub voice acting. Yukari and George, the two main characters, both had voices that were overdone and silly. While there were a few actors I recognized and enjoyed their performance, they were often minor characters who didn't get much screen time. The main cast was a little annoying to listen to, and all seemed very forced.
Character- I did NOT like George. Still don't. But that doesn't really affect my score for character. Yukari's personality was very similar to a good natured teenager who goes on a rebellious streak and something good comes out of it (her modeling). But George just seemed like an ass to me. He never really changed enough throughout the course of the show to grow on me. Most of the other characters were typical or boring in my opinion, but I can see some of them (like Miwako) being a likable character to many people.
Enjoyment- I felt a little bored through a lot of the show, and I didn't care much for the level of progression that was set. But it wasn't a bad show, and I did like it. In the end it was worth watching, even though I would likely never watch it again.

The story for Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is fun and cute. For a short anime, it gives you a great love story between two very different people. You really get a chance to like the characters and enjoy their journey to find their love in each other and the supporting characters are fun and interesting enough to enjoy watching alongside Mizutani and Haru.
The art was good and I liked the style that the characters were drawn in. It wasn't overtly shojo, with the obnoxious proportions and eyes, and no one seemed too over the top, which works considering that it is a simple high school

love story.
In general I really enjoyed this anime. The only thing about it that I didn't really care for was the ending. It didn't really tie up all the loose ends that I was expecting and the OVA was random and didn't give me anything extra to add to the actual story either. I think a second season would be a great way to fix that problem, and give the viewer more insight to what really happens after the end of this show.

Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu is a shojo manga through and through. There were some parts of it that were really good, and some that were kinda bad. Overall, though, this is a good manga that is worth the read if you are into typical shojo mangas.
The story for this manga is plain and simple. It being a traditional high school love story, you get what you anticipate with this one. It can be extremely predictable at times, but realistically, you don't usually read a shojo to be surprised. The story had a good flow and ends well, without leaving any loose ends, like some manga

and anime often do.
The art is great. The characters are drawn well and the hair is beautifully rendered (which means something in a manga with a plot point around hair and hair styling).
The characters are probably my biggest love/hate part of this story. Hibino has an interesting personality, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And Kyouta has an odd personality, which also isn't a bad thing. But together, they doubt one another and pointlessly feel certain ways that are completely geared to cause story drama. It can feel repetitive and cause you to care less for both of them at a certain point because it seems like they never learn from their previous mistakes. They are not terrible characters, but with that drama being a huge part of the story arcs, it can make them less enjoyable.
Overall, I did enjoy this manga, regardless of the character flaws. I don't think I would ever read this manga again (mostly due to the length) but I would recommend it to someone who loves drama filled shojo manga with cute main characters.

When I first bought the Hyrule Historia book, I had no idea that there was a manga hidden in the back. Once I read it (after completing Skyward Sword, because this manga is a companion to read once you finish the game) I was surprised at how much I liked it.
The story is a prelude to the story of the video game, Skyward Sword, and it does a great job explaining the history of the goddess Hilya and the legendary hero Link (who every incarnation of Link and Zelda derive from in the series). It gives

a story to enjoy that ties into the game and gives a broader understanding of how the series started.
The art is beautiful and while it isn't similar to the style of any of the games, it is an interesting take on the series. The detail of the outfits and characters is top notch and extremely nice to look at.
Overall I feel like this manga lived up to the story it portrayed and is a great little one shot that any Zelda fan (who has already beaten Skyward Sword) would enjoy.
