"Sekai no Owari to Yoakemae" or "Before Dawn and the End of The World" is a volume with 9 one-shots by Inio Asano. Mostly it is about young people or people in general with their problems in everyday life, as is the case in most of Inio Asano's mangas. Sekai no Owari convinces with the very good stories and with a lot of variation between the different one-shots. So you might even find yourself in one of the one-shots and let Inio Asano's creativity convince you. Yes, I am a big fan of Inio Asano.
1. Yoakemae (Before Dawn)
Before Dawn is about the night and
...
what things happen in nights, but you still wake up every morning and start a new day. Miracles happen, tragedies happen, accidents happen ... and people keep waking up to find out what happens next without realizing it. Inio Asano has this story in every way and this one-shot has a special place in my heart. 10/10
2. Alfalfa
Alfalfa is about a typical day in middle school. The special thing that stands out again is what Inio Asano has perfected: the realism. The realism in friendship, relationships or simply to discover. Often you see yourself again or think that it could have gone that way. 9/10
3-5. Nichiyou, Gogo, 6-jihan. (Sunday, Afternoon, 6:30.)
Sunday Afternoon 6:30 is about a father who is missing and his two children. These 3 chapters are about unfulfilled dreams, dreams that develop and dreams that have been given, from the perspective of each family member. Inio Asano represents this family perfectly and shows the different points in time of relationships. Beginning of relationships, in the middle of relationships and after a long-term relationship. Also with a breathtaking art style. 9/10
6. Chou Mousou A-ko no Nichijou to Yuuutsu
A Day in the Melancholy Life of A-ko the Daydreamer is about the attempt to always show happiness in public and what makes it easier and more difficult. Everyone knows that sometimes you try to be nice to people, but you notice that they are not interested and it was all in vain. Good short one-shot. 7/10
7. Kyuujitsu no Sugoshikata
How to Spend a Day Off is about this strange, melancholy feeling that Inio Asano wants to convey to the reader, to spend the last day off or the last day of vacation. On the one hand sad, maybe stressful or you just don't know how to spend this unique time. Inio Asano gives you these feelings during this chapter, which he did very well. 8/10
8. 17
17 is about the "desire" of young people of all kinds and their consequences. Especially with adolescents, every kind of desire can become an addiction, illegal action, wrong action or simply depression. Inio Asano is a specialist in this field, you can approach these issues at Inio Asano with high expectations. 9/10
9. Subarashii Sekai
What a Wonderful World is about current feelings that you feel and writes yourself a letter and asks how you are. A very abstract, philosophical story by Inio Asano that I liked very much. 7/10
10. Tokyo
"Tokyo" is about Inio Asano's self-portrayal. About his career and what it's like to be a mangaka. Similar to Reiraku (Downfall) but was even more personal and a very good background story. 7/10
11. Sekai no Owari
"The End of the World" is about a dream that either Inio Asano or one of the protagonists of this story had. What feelings do you have then? Who cares? Who would you like to be with? What would you like to do? These questions are asked in the final chapter and were sensationally presented. One of the best stories you can read and very philosophical. 10/10

Zankyou no Terror is a love-hate relationship. I love every story when Shinichiro Watanabe is writing it or is the director, but he tried something in the last four or three episodes that was a good idea but was way too fast and had too much content. Huge potential but unfortunately lost in the last few episodes.
Story: 7
The story is unpredictable. The idea and the plot are perfectly implemented in the first seven episodes and I would have even given a ten. A team of two terrorists called the Sphinx challenge the police and you are shown the backstories of the various characters, which
...
were portrayed just great. Nonetheless, the last few episodes were poorly presented.
Character: 7
The main characters Twelve and Nine are both perfect and explain very well why they act like this, which is a great strength in the works of Watanabe.
There is also a typical big brain detective and another girl named Lisa who had a good role in the first episodes but later feels unnecessary, which is kind of sad because she admits that too. Side characters are mostly uninteresting and the two main antagonists are weird and are doing things where you wonder why they do that... .
Sound: 10+
Yoko Kanno + Shinichiro Watanbe = 10+
This soundtrack is one of the best I've heard, but what else should you expect from Yoko Kanno. She knows how to use music in different situations so that the scene is a thousand times better: riding a motorcycle, in a ferris wheel, at school .... The soundtrack is a combination I have never seen before: piano, violin, Icelandic man who sings with a wonderful voice. Voice actors are fine. I like Lisa's voice.
Animation: 8,5
Studio Mappa has an animation style that relies on character animation and background display. The camera work is also excellent. I also have the feeling that Studio Mappa almost always only have the very well animated scenes in the first few episodes and later it just looks "good".
Enjoyment: 9
You'll love the first few episodes, no doubt about that. From episode six on, it depends what you like. All in all, I still think that they gave away a huge potential due to the fast and unstructured ending.

The second season of Fate / Zero is the best part of Fate in my opinion. The story is better than the others in every way and the characters are perfectly structured (Kirei especially).
Story: 8.5
The story is a completely normal fate story. Battle Royale. But what's the good thing about Fate / Zero? Building Kirei and Gilgamesh's friendship and the backstory of why Emiya Kiritsugu always goes for effectiveness. Written exciting and sensational.
Character: 10+
The best thing about Fate / Zero season two. Every character is just perfect and there is no Rin, no Emiya Shirou, no Sakura who always annoyed me in Stay Night.
...
Kirei Kotomine: a completely normal guy who learns how to have fun in his life. With the help of Gilgamesh, who has already found fun in life. Emiya Kiritsugu: a man who values efficiency with a legendary background story. Saber remains the typical Saber and Fate supporting characters feel like filler material to get 12 episodes.
Sound: 6
The soundtrack is not to my taste. The choir sounds melodious and does not adapt to the violins. I also don't like that 90s flair that the soundtrack sometimes brings with the beat ... somehow doesn't fit. The soundtrack for the last fight and the last scene are okay. OP and ED not that good. Very good voice actors (Emiya, Kirei, Gilgamesh).
Animation: 9.5
Ufotable is Ufotable. They are monsters who know how to regulate the budget and the animation. The effects are what they do best and the CG is divine. The last fight is also one of my favorite animated fights. Also very good choreography for Fate standards which in my opinion they don't always pay attention to it, more like camera work and so on.
Enjoyment: 10
It ranks 15th in my favorite anime for a reason. Would watch it again when I have time.

Hotarubi no Mori e Hotarubi no Mori e is a 45-long anime film that feels like 5 minutes. I wish there was at least a whole season of it just because it was so amazing. A little tip: Natsume Yuujinchou feels similar and has a similar idea, if you have already seen Hotarubi and liked it, then take a look at Natsume Yuujinchou. Same team / studio by the way. You would love it.
Story: 8.5
The story was kept very simple, but sensationally written. It's like a little fairy tale. The end is perfect and rewarding for what feels like five minutes you have
...
spent. But I can't put a 10 in the story because there is no back story, no exact character details and furthermore, because it only lasts 45 minutes. Still great story.
Character: 8
There are only 2 relevant characters: Gin and Hotaru. Gin is a perfect character for the role he plays. His mask makes him more mystical and you always wonder: if this “event” will happen that feels like a fate with gin and if it will when? Hotaru is just the typical fairy tale girl, comparable to Studio Ghibli characters: okay but without a motive.
Sound: 10
The soundtrack is a masterpiece. The same composer of Natsume Yuujinchou, mostly piano + violin, just perfect and has a certain mood that fits the genre Supernatural. The ending theme “Natsu wo Miteita: simply perfect.
Animation: 7.5
Animation is solid. Nothing too special. The end scene stood out with the animation, but otherwise I didn't notice anything special.
Enjoyment: 9.5
As I said: it feels like 5 minutes. The only criticism: it was only 45 minutes;).

The second film from the Kizumonogatari trilogy is, in my opinion, one of the best quality animes and even animated films in general. Everything about this film is perfect and far exceeded my high expectations.
Story: 9
Kizumonogatari plays in front of Bakemonogatari and Nekomonogatari. The story is kept very simple for monogatari standards but is perfectly presented in many ways. The dialogues are perfect. The main plot is perfect and the stories behind Oshino Meme, Shinobu, Hanekawa and Araragi are made interesting. In my opinion, Kizumonogatari is the last but also the first to watch. The problem is that both are wrong because the main
...
plot of Owarimonogatari no longer feels “rewarding” when you watch Kizumonogatari last. But when you watch Kizumonogatari first you don't understand a lot, because in the 3 hours or so they didn't have time to explain everything exactly why some things just... happen, for example, Araragi meets the vampires and vampire hunters or Oshino Meme helps him. That is my only criticism. Perhaps it could have been solved better.
Character: 10
Monogatari is known for having perfect dialogues and monologues. In Kizumonogatari, however, there are not that many dialogues for monogatari standards. Why are the characters still worth a 10? Because of the background stories, the enjoyment, the correctly deployed fan service and the perfect representation of feelings through the good animation.
Sound: 10+
The second film, in my opinion, has the best Osts of Monogatari's: Dismissal, Sheer Force and Bad Bully. All of these will give you different emotions and will go perfectly with the fights, choreography, animation and emotions. Just perfect.
Animation: 10+
Studio Shaft is known for providing very good character animation, abstract rendering and now and then smooth combat animation. In Kizumonogatari they have outdone themselves in every part. Things that got noticed very positively: rain, racing animation, hair, emotions, oppai. For me personally, the last five minutes are one of the best animated scenes in the world.
Enjoyment: 10+
For me personally in 6th place of my favorite anime but of quality in the top 3 and maybe even the most animated medium there is. Have seen it 4 times already.
Overall: 10
Check it out right away if you haven't already. It won't let you down.

The first season of Natsume Yuujinchou is a very good introduction to the universe of the Book of Friends (a book by Natsume's grandma). You get to know all the characters and circumstances at the right speed and this is very interesting for the proportions of the slice-of-life shows, which usually have very great difficulty introducing the show at the right speed. There is even a possibility that this anime will become my favorite slice-of-life anime.
Story: 8
Each episode has a different story with different background stories, which is very rare because it is very difficult to always represent very good background stories and to
...
set the right plot. But possible with the Youkai and the Book of Friends. Great, lots of variety. Never got bored.
Character: 8
There are two main characters. Takashi Natsume and Madara. Natsume is a very quiet guy that you just can't dislike. He communicates with the supporting characters and Madara just almost perfectly. Love his voice. Madara is a cat / dragon / sensei. I explain it using Naruto: Character traits of Jiraiya, voice of Kakashi and name is Madara.
Supporting characters are very different and new ones are introduced every episode. So there are very many, some wholesome, some weird, some sad, some funny. You are well introduced to each character and each character has a unique quality, although some are ghosts or demons or even humans. Very good.
Sound: 8
I really like the soundtrack. They are very quiet Osts with sometimes only piano. The Ost does not stand out completely but is a very good encore. Sounds similar to the soundtrack of Hotarubi no Mori e in case someone has seen it to be able to imagine.
Opening is fine but love the ending with that perfect smooth transition with the piano.
Animation: 7.5
The animation is generally solid. But as soon as either Madara becomes a dragon or Natsume takes a paper in his mouth, the animation is sensational. Artstyle is good. No bad CG noticed. Average camera work. Sometimes stills but that's not too bad.
Enjoyment: 9.5
I had a great time watching this. Not boring even though it's slice-of-life. Properly timed drama and comedy. A good mood because it feels like a relaxed vacation.
Overall: 8.2
Gonna watch all the seasons as soon as possible.

Do you like jazz? Would you like to see a show where jazz is the focus? Where the characters have fun playing some good ol' jazz pieces with each other and talking about jazz pieces? Then this anime is NOT for you. Do you like normal cliché romance with poorly constructed drama with a far too fast and disappointing ending? Then this anime is for you!
This anime let me down in all respects, even though the first five episodes are pretty darn good and have the right pace and you get well introduced to the characters' backstories.
Story: 5
The story has a good layout. A rich,
...
affluent boy gets to know jazz and begins to like it, even though his values actually do not allow him to. So far so good. They just have fun together and the student learns to love jazz when he practices with his band more often. That's fine. Oh, a new character who seems like a cool guy, WOW WHAT HAPPENS NOW, MY BODY IS NOT READY FOR IT. REALLY GOOD SO FAR. Oh no, beach episode. Oh why so much drama. Where did jazz go? Wait who is this, hey this is unnecessary. Don't fight. Oh what the fuck what just happened. I thought it was a show about jazz ... OH SHIT A PERFORMANCE ... that's it again ... from then on I don't want to continue and then comes the quick end and whoosh. Why did I watch that again now? Ah jazz. Nope. No jazz. DRAMA AND ROMANCE.
TL; DR: good start, boring cliché center with repetitive drama, bad fast ending.
Character: 5
At first sight, I liked the characters. It's just 2 guys practicing jazz and an unnecessary girl for the romance part. Then you get to know Juunichi who is the best character with the best background. An excellent voice actor and a very interesting charm. Then there is Seiji and Yurika ... so they were kind of unnecessary and just created unnecessary drama. From there on, the characters only ever have predictable character plots. Romance. More romance. More more romance. So much romance that the characters forgot why they actually had fun in the first 5 episodes: They played jazz.
Sound: 8
I only rated sound highly for the performances and the exercises. (e.g .: John Coltrane, Chet Baker, Moanin ', ...) They were sensational. By the way: I love Yoko Kanno. She makes really good soundtracks that can even improve or enhance the anime. But somehow she got the idea not to do Jazz Ost if they weren't playing, no, she chose lo-fi, rock and classic piano. Why that in an anime about jazz? I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA. It partially did not fit the scenes and made it worse. That was forgiven potential. Voice actors were fine, not bad comments.
Animation / Type: 7
As expected from Studio Mappa / Tezuka Productions: good. No complaints. Good character design, especially in jazz performances. Sometimes good camera work. No bad CG noticed.
Enjoyment: 6
As I said: I love the first five episodes. Episode 4 especially.
I didn't like the female characters. I liked the references to various jazz soloists. The end ruined everything, like romance. I like Romance in general, but the relationships were trash. That screwed everything up for me.
Overall: 6
There was potential, but they couldn't take advantage of it. Sad.

“A samurai who smells of sunflowers? Sunflowers don’t have a scent. So wouldn’t that mean the samurai you’re searching for…doesn’t even exist?”
Samurai Champloo is another masterpiece of Shinichiro Watanabe and is a relaxing anime with an easy story and got by far some of the smoothest animated fights in anime history. But most importantly, a legendary soundtrack.
Story: 9
The story is very easy. A girl named Fuu is searching for a samurai that smells like sunflowers and Jin and Mugen are helping her. This seems like a boring story but this is not the main point of this anime. It is more
...
a relaxing story that is a little bit slow paced but got some of the best episodes in anime history with some really good plots and in the end a stunning, exciting main plot like Cowboy Bebop.
One weak point is that there are a few filler episodes where not much happens. I think the episodes are mostly relaxing between the breathtaking episodes because the characters are very good and very enjoying (like Gintama's filler episodes).
Character: 10
These three main characters are one of these perfect trios.
You got Mugen who is a very sharp, badass guy and is just doing what he wants and a little bit dumb, also he is very skilled with his katana.
You got Jin who is a chill, warmhearted guy but he doesn't give a damn about anything and just wants to live a quiet life.
You got Fuu who is a chill girl, who can be annoying sometimes but she is determined and is the "leader" of the trio (of course Jin and Mugen don't care).
These three characters form a perfect trio and you will have a really good time with them.
The antagonists are insane. They are all different, some are badass, some are annoying and there are 2 antagonists that are very thrilling got a mysterious backstory.
To sum up: they all are some of the best characters and you will love them.
Sound: 10+
Now to my favourite part of Samurai Champloo: the soundtrack. Why?
The soundtracks are Lo-Fi Hip/Hop beats by Nujabes and Fat Jon. Just listen to them, they are some of the best OSTs in anime.
If there is a relaxing scene, a thrilling scene, a funny scene or an exciting scene... you will always enjoy the smooth Lo-Fi tracks.
The OP is great and the Ending is in my Top 3 of my favourite Endings.
Also, there is a theme in a plot scene that is bonechilling.
The soundtrack improves the anime on a different level. A Masterpiece.
Animation: 10
The animation in fights and the character are top-tier choreographed, there are some of the best fights in anime.
In general, in normal scenes the animation is fluid but not too expensive but when they fight... it's just breathtaking... the camera perspectives and the impact of some samurais fighting. A Masterpiece.
PS: the animation where a particular person was on drugs... waaaaay too good.
Enjoyment: 10+
Samurai Champloo is one of my favorite animes because I had so much fun when I saw it. Sometimes you could just sit back and enjoy and sometimes it was just breathtaking when the samurai pulled out their katanas.
Thank you for reading this review and I hope you will enjoy Samurai Champloo or keep enjoying it.

This review contains minor spoilers.
"It all returns to nothing it just keeps tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down." -That really nice song in this movie
After you finished Neon Genesis Evangelion, you may be disappointed by the end. Well... there is The End of Evangelion and in my opinion the best ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion in storytelling, soudtrack and just really enjoying if you liked the first season.
Story: 10
First I have to say that this movie can be really confusing if you watch it only one time. If you go deeper into it, it will be a complex but an outstanding story. It's thrilling, creepy,
...
action-packed and can be very disturbing for some people (R+). If you're confused about the story in general, it's about Robots killing Aliens... no just kidding, there is more about it. It's about the end of the world and about a new beginning. Like the title sais: Neon (new) Genesis (the first book of the bible), Evangelion (the robots created by NERV), they want to pretend the end of the world and want to kill the angels with the Evangelions. The rest of the story is self-explaining and I don't want to get way to deep into it.
PS: some scenes are just for emotions like the scene where you see a cinema full of people or the back of the protagonists in real life... it's not for the story.
Character: 9
The characters are the same as in NGE: Shinji, Rei and Asuka, to name the most important. The characters are like the story very dark, depressed and thrilling. You'll see what kind of person Rei is and what purpose she has to NERV and the world. The main protagonist is little bit different than in NGE. He is not happy like in the last episodes of NGE, he is depressed and got no future... you'll see what will happen to him.
We got to see whats in Shinjis mind in some scenes what was brilliantly shown and helped the viewer to feel with him with a kind of symbolism.
The father of Shinji is still a guy you hate and is doing his brilliant job as an antagonist. Asuka gets more backstory and she is not really happy about anything that is happening.
The mystery around Rei Ayanami is absolutely mysterios and mindblowing.
Side characters got more purpose for the story and are more important than in NGE, which is nice.
But there are still some side character that are unnessesary and well... there is a scene... just why?? You'll see what I mean.
Sound: 10
The main soundtracks are still the same. But the music isn't that happy this time... or is it? But the main soundtrack is still very good in my opinion and got a jazzy, military flair.
The other main themes that are new are just masterpieces.
We got: "If I can't be yours", which is very jazzy and slow with many feelings.
AAAanndd we got: "Komm Süsser Tod": holy... this is a masterpiece of soundtrack. The Scene where it stars is just bonechilling, that ost is so good and is improving the scene and the whole movie so much. I am really happy about that Soundtrack. It gives you a world-end kinda feeling, I could jam to that song all day.
The Soundeffects are thrilling and got a horror type.
Animation: 9.5
Old but gold. Like in Cowboy Bebop aired in the same time, it's just timeless.
The fights are the best mecha fights beside Gurren Lagann I have seen so far, you can feel the impact in the main fight.
Enjoyment: 10+
In my opinion: The End of Evangelion is a roller coaster of feelings, it's thrilling, mysterious, mindblowing and will stay in your mind for a long time.
If you want to get in the backstory and symbolism you'll have definately even more enjoyment and you want to see it over and over again.
I watched it already 6 times. :)
Thank you for reading this review and I hope you'll enjoy The End of Evangelion or keep enjoying it.
