I have no idea how Shinsekai Yori could be rated so highly. For me is this Anime completly overrated. Besides the fact that it contains several logical errors, or that 12-year-old children are abused, sexualized or left completely helpless in an Amazon jungle-like environment, I found nothing redeeming. After 3 episodes, I lost interest. It doesn't matter if this is an anime that takes a while to pick up the pace when the premise is completely off until then. I also didn't like the animation at all. Additionally, I don't understand this over-mature staging. More show than substance.

As a brief note: The anime Danganronpa is adapted from a game. The playtime is supposed to be around 20-30 hours.
So the question is, how do you fit 20-30 hours of gameplay into 13 episodes? Quite simply, by skipping relevant parts and running the show like a speedrun. In the first episode, students pass out after entering the school grounds. Explanation? None! After they wake up, they are already in the school and in a game of life and death. Why, how, or for what reason? No explanation! You will find logical errors more frequently in this anime. I noticed several in the first episode ...
