- Both anime revolve around the idol\scene thematics - Both involve a smart character, trying to think through the challenges and also helping that person(s) they believe in Koumei is more easygoing, slightly funnier but generally less complex\unpredictable

Violet Evergarden

The "Death Parade"'s pluses and minuses remind me of "Violet Evergarden" a lot. Both are episodic, beautiful, both are slow and pompous and without an actually good smart essence behind the words. They both try to bring good morale at least. I recommend "Violet Evergarden" to those who liked "Death Parade" (and vise versa) and I discourage the watch to those who didn't (I rate both at 5)

Asobi Asobase

Pretty similar stuff - 3 girls doing crazy things in school. Mad and funny comedies Plastic Neesan is much shorter (~30 min show) - as a result it isn't developed as well and can be considered as "Asobi Asobase in miniature"

Both are crazy in their humor sense and both are episodic. Both have rather bright and energetic characters (Nichijou is a little bit better, imo)

Horimiya
add

Really similar animes in terms of plot, especially at the beginning. Hori and Taiga both have somewhat unstable personalities. HOWEVER Unless you really enjoy the genre - i wouldn't reccomend you to watch Horimiya after Toradora. Horimiya feels more like a weak, more robotic (with artificial emotions) copy. Watching Toradora AFTER Horimiya - that is much better idea

I don't want to repeat countless other comments, so in short: Both shows have pretty similar core, BUT Bakemonogatary was executed much better. I suggest watching it and skip Bunny Girl unless you REALLY liked this theme

Toradora!

Beginning is very similar, but after that both anime follow somewhat different paths But in general: - both anime has 2 main heroes who work on their relationship. Side characters either help them with those, either put spokes in the wheels - both are nice comedies (but Lovely Complex is funnier) - both are nice romantic shows (probably Toradora is better at this buuut it depends). Lovely complex is lighter, funnier and easier to watch, while Toradora is more atmospheric and a little bit more serious

Both are chaotically fun shows, without much serious stuff. - Both chaotic - Both fun - Both have fanservice - Both fun - Both chaotic - A lot of girls - Both chaotic Plastic Neesan is ~30 min show, so there is no reason not to watch it to Konosuba fans

- Game\fantasy worlds. Settings feel extremely similar - Super strong main hero (in Sao almost immediately, while Shield Hero starts a bit slower. A bit) - Hero surrounded by girls (gaaarems) - Similar ways in which action moments are executed\Similar story development On a minus note: - In both, most of characters are too weak or too stupid, compared to MH. - Both stories are predicatable and illogical as a result IMO - I liked artstyle and music in both - I disliked story and characters in both They're VERY similar. If you liked one - you will like the other. If you disliked one - you will dislike both

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen
add

Toradora is a bit more serious (small shift towards romance) Kaguya is a bit more fun (small shift towards comedy) - Both shows are romantic school comedies, with slice of lifish bits - Both became more serious as the show went on. - Both have small, nice cast of somewhat similar characters (read other people reccomends for details) In my opinion, both also are a must watch

Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen
add

Most was already said It's weird but Kaguya definitely has Death Note vibes, that's while those shows are completely different in tone. They don't actually have much in common, exept one big nuance - Both are focused around characters, that think a lot In Death note there were lots of smart thoughts, in Kaguya there was a lot of fun "overthinking"

Baccano!

While this is somewhat non-direct similarity, i had some Code Geass vibes while watching Baccano. So: + Both have wide cast of developed characters + Both are very dynamic and active animes + Both are interesting to watch, as lot of unexpected staff happens On the minus note: - Both aren't as smart as they may seem at first glance - Both lose their logic more as the show goes on Anyway, if you are not hardcore thinker (i am hardcore thinker only after anime ends, heh), and like interesting and active shows - both are great at those terms

Houseki no Kuni
add

- Cast almost entirely consists of girls - Raid-like behaviour of mostly generic enemies (they appear from time to time, they aren't personalised, fights are not the main focus of the show, but still have noticeable impact). - Both have mystic atmosphere - Both shows have unique artstyle (Madoka is generally beautifull, while "Gemland" has probably the best 3D style i saw after Disney) - Actually, they both feel unique at story too While watching Houseki no Kuni i definitely had "Madoka's vibes". I also felt it was executed better, (characters were more attractive on average). Anyway, i consider both shows a must watch
