This review is based on the official NA translation of the first and second volumes and will be updated as I continue to read.
Story: 10
First of all, it was extremely refreshing to see the isekai genre take on this type of story. It's a simple story of confused teenagers thrust into an unknown world without prior knowledge of who they once were. The main reason I enjoyed the story of the first two volumes was specifically because of them not knowing what to do. Seeing them grow through trail and error in a vast and unforgiving world made for a surprisingly emotional story.

This review is based on the official english release of "Slayers vol. 1: The Ruby Eye."
Story: 5 The story of the first volume of Slayers didn't really impress me, it might be due to the fact that the novel is so old that I've already seen the same story again and again and it has grown stale. Character: 7 The focus of this section will be the MC, Lina Inverse, because at the point of writing this review I have already forgotten all the other characters. Despite the author being a male himself, he was somehow crazy enough to try to make a first person story told ...

This review is based on the official english release of the first 3 volumes of "So I'm a Spider, So What?"
This is also an updated version of my original review now that I have read more volumes. Story: For the most part, the story has picked up the pace and is now moving in a direction slightly similar to the Overlord series. It no longer involves just Kumoko and her adventures throughout the Labyrinth, the story has now gotten bigger and moved on to not only Kumoko's story, but the world's story.
