Without trying to mince words, this manga is an absolute train wreck.
What started as a quite interesting story about a girl who loses her memory and tries to find out who she really is eventually turned into an exhaustive, not so subtle, actual romance between siblings. And what's worse, you don't find out about this until later. What the author tries to do is subvert expectations in the most atrocious way. And this is why the second half of the manga is pure hell for the reader.

massive clash between her former and ugly self, a big bully who fed on other people's unhappiness, and this new person who doesn't remember anything and tries to paint herself in a whole different light. The way she starts to open up to her family is nice and warm, as is her relationship development with Kai, the ML (according to me), and the other people around her. Without the incestuous stuff, the story wouldn't have suffered at all, because it was enjoyable to watch how Shiori grew as a person and how she wasn't afraid anymore of her former self. But no, the author decided to give us the whole love triangle trope, but this time with a hint of incest. Real siblings or not, I can't bring myself to care about it. They grew up together as a family, and this is it. The characters themselves said it a million times, and yet they did the exact opposite of what they said in the end. And if this wasn't enough, poor Kai gets the shortest end of the straw. You rarely get to see such poor treatment of a character who is actually very likeable. But I guess you can't expect more from a manga that glorifies this particular theme and tries to mock its readers with such a deep understanding of the actual horror from the other characters. Please don't bother with this manga.

Coming here after Unmei no Hito ni Deau Hanashi, I guess one might expect the same level of writing, but no, Harumatsu Bokura is nothing but a snoozefest. While the art is gorgeous and stylish, this is the only strong point of the entire series. The story lacks depth and the characters are either boring or annoying. fall in love. The problem might be with the fact that they were boring from the start and one simply cannot care about what they do and what they want. Funny fact how the manga ends with a chapter about the second male lead as well. That says a lot about the manga altogether.

Some wise dude once said: there are never enough shoujo tropes in only one manga. Well, until you start reading this one. What seemed to have a bit of potential turned out to be a total waste of space and time. Only because it's too much and it eventually becomes silly.
Story - 5/10
Story wise, L-DK doesn't stray from its path and follows the ups and downs of our main couple. But man, what an emotional rollercoaster it is. It's like someone never thought that it's too much drama. A conflict is ended, beware! There comes another. And another! And they never seem to stop.

And these aren't even typical teenage conflicts, we talk about evil plans, we talk about sexual harrassment. When there aren't conflicts, the comedy becomes repetitive and it ultimately seems that the main couple's goal is only to get laid. Get your tally marks, guys. Don't get me wrong, there were times when their domestic life was cute and there were also some emotional moments that found their perfect timing. But these are rare and don't make up for the horrendous storytelling we got here. Think about any other shoujo manga but make it ten time worse. There was at some point the 20th chapter and we already had the problematic brother, the long lost lover, feelings development, unrequited love, second unrequited love, tears, broken windows etc. And you start asking yourself: what am I going to read for the next 60 chapters if everything happened already? Then you find out that it's a loop. A dramatic one, at least. The ending isn't any better, but I've appreciated at least that the author had some mercy and left them together, not choosing to follow the infamous path of "I'm going to America but hold on! Wait for me like 4 years and I'm coming back." That's what gives you a 5 and not a 4.
Characters - 4/10
The characters are horrible for the most part of the story! The female lead has some backbone at first, but like ten chapters after, she's brainwashed and everything she thinks about is how to be closer to the male lead. She doesn't know about boundaries with other characters and this is why she often ends up in uncomfortable situations. Like read the room, girl. It's not like that guy friend who already hugged you like a million times will take you to his home to show you his card collection. The male lead starts off as an insufferable douche who doesn't know a thing about consent. His sexual jokes are particularly unfunny and he acts like a jerk when the FL confesses because he doesn't feel like talking. Well, this manga could have been 70 chapters shorter if these characters would have known what communication means. The secondary characters are either bland or horrible, see the brother or the best friend. Aren't you able to be his best friend without trying to steal his girl? The only interesting and decent characters are Sanjou and Eri, but they've been done dirty in the end. They got some development but the author got tired fast and went back to the old drama.
Art - 5/10
I wasn't head over heels for the main lead, he didn't look that special as the author was trying to advertise him. Take his black hair away and that's it, background character. The female lead is like any other shoujo female lead, I can't even imagine how she was able to break so many hearts. But here we are. The style is nothing special and let me tell you, there's not a single kiss drawn right in these 98 chapters!
Overall, 5/10 and don't waste your precious time.

Very good start with a lot of comedy and potential, but all that potential is wasted in the end and the story goes nowhere for the main characters. Every little development they had got reversed every time by the end of each chapter. One can have only mixed feelings about this manga that ultimately deceives its readers and nevers meets their expectations.
The premise is good and well executed for the most part, but the last 30 or 40 chapters simply become repetitive and lead nowhere. The comedy is still good till the end and one can get a few good laughs, but the romantic aspect

of the manga is poorly executed and now I remember a chapter introduction where the author stated that she doesn't know how to write romance. Well, I guess that's the problem, because it's somehow advertised as a romance manga and this aspect lacks development. If it was simply a comedy and we'd only get hints of romance, it wouldn't have been an issue, but almost every chapter can't stress enough how madly in love are Sunako and Kyouhei and yet they don't do a goddamn thing about it. And in the end, nothing happens! I guess they still live there together, being 15/16 and celebrating Halloween ten times a year. And don't even get me started about the whole supernatural and fantastic stuff...

Although it wasn't horrible, this season was way more underwhelming than the second one. I'd noticed back then that the comedy was starting to get bland, but I continued to watch, hoping to see some character development or some really weird moments. Instead, we got way too much screentime for the Riceballs and annoyingly repetitive sequences. Honestly, it really felt sometimes like they were trying to buy some time to finish the episodes. And the actual funny recurring bits, such as F6, the detective ones etc. lost their charm by being overused.
I liked the emotional parts, on the other hand, but they didn't go anywhere.

Remember that the brothers understood at some point that their mother was struggling with house chores and did a great job replacing her for a day? Where did this go in the next episodes? Nowhere, they went back to square one, being the same annoying NEETs they were from the very beginning. I liked Totoko's development as well and her friendship with Nyaa, but that didn't go anywhere either, although we see her in the last episode trying to do new stuff. Iyami and Chibita lost their importance; the "sheeh" jokes fell flat, the bits were chaotically distributed throughout the episodes and, many times, I ended up not understanding a thing. I know that Osomatsu-san isn't about wholesomeness or development at the end of the day, but since the fun factor disappeared completely, I hoped to see more than utter nonsense for 25 episodes. My feelings are mixed, since there have been two seasons before and I enjoy the premise, the general outline of the characters, and I know that some people would watch this season just to see the series' finale. 'Cause God knows if we're getting another season anytime soon. Or ever.

Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to read Youth Gone Wild after The One, since YGW is one of Nicky Lee's earlier works and it's easy to find flaws especially if you compare it with The One. But here we go.
Story
In terms of story, YGW is catchy if you enjoy romantic stories that involve music and a lot of drama. I was really impressed with Nana and I thought I've just discovered something similar, but it wasn't the case. The story is simple and really convenient almost all the time. "I want to be the manager of a band". Done! "Do you wanna be

a part of this band?" Done. "Each member of the band needs a romantic interest no matter what!" Done. But what about the story itself? There was no progress, in my opinion. Maybe some background progress, but that's actually cheap, because the focus shifts way too easily from romance to music and it's hard to keep track of what really matters in this manga. The only saving grace is that the story, however shallow it might be, stays entertaining and creative until the very end, despite all those cliches involved.

Let's just say it was good, although it might be a stretch. Many panels at times, overflowing with text and distorted faces that it's hard to keep up with who's who. But it really does compensates with the main design of the characters, their unique style which reminded me of popular bands from the 80s.

Characters
The characters suffer from lack of development, no matter how hard the author tries to make them relatable or justify their actions. The protagonist YaTing is bland, has no actual depth apart from being the manager of the band and Wang Xiang's love interest. And she stays the same until the very end, this is the problem. She's funny in her antics with Wang Xiang, but that's all. Same for Wang Xiang, whose reasons to be a musician are shallow and his development feels forced. As for the other characters who often shadow the two above mentioned, they are extremes of some other cliches and it simply doesn't work. Also, the treatment of women is a little bit frustrating. Only alpha males and women who can trust and forgive everything, as if they don't have a personality of their own. But then again, the manhwa is funny at times and their silliness might be overlooked if you wanna see what's next.

As I've already said, YGW is enjoyable only because it is about music as well and because it has a fast pace and good jokes from time to time. Apart from this, it's questionable whether it's worth wasting time with it or not.
