"The next Nagi no Asukara" quickly turned into the disappointment of the summer for most, but actually entertained me. Are you raising your brow yet wondering, "why give an anime a 7 that's heavily hated on?"

With Nagi no Asukara ending a few months before Glasslip was released, we had high expectations for it thinking it would live up to the hype that Nagi produced. By no means am I saying this anime is perfect, it isn't, it has a bunch of flaws, but still doesn't deserve that amount of hate it's getting in my opinion.

It opens with the group of friends having fun at ...

Individuality is something every person has, but can be judged harshly.
When growing up, people are classified by groups and "norms" which are typical things everyone does, but when people step out of it they get frowned upon and ridiculed. This OVA shows a realistic point of view of how something like that can affect a person and make them into a puppet of the norm and be someone they don't wish to be.

This 25 short minute film packs all emotion, story and theme in a way I have never seen before. It shows that everyone has their own personality and is unique to their self. ...

Culture is unique upon one's own setting and which people have pride upon, but when a new culture is introduced clash occurs between the two and the differences need time to settle in.

This anime is set in the late 19th century France. The anime shows the culture differences between European and Japanese culture, but shows that they're similar in more ways than you may think. From the outside the anime looks like a typical "moe" with a cute girl, but it offers a lot more to give the viewer entertainment. It's a little slow paced, but really does a good job working with what it ...

The hype of 2013 leading to an ending that closed off lots of action and questions throughout its run. With an anime that has a lot of hype, comes a lot of conflict between haters and people who genuine enjoy the anime. Shingeki no Kyojin is an anime that made peaks in sales and getting fans world wide, but is it really worth watching?

The concept of humanity being at the brink of extinction, this is one emphasizes it's fight for survival and the ups and downs of their fight for victory. With the first episode starting off with a great clincher to get you ...

Children are no easy task to take care of. They require a lot of attention and patience to deal with. As a child, I was reckless and very stubborn. I'm glad my parents dealt with me and loved me for who I am. Though when a family member dies, a person can change in a way to make them more secluded and feeling alone, but when someone reaches out to you with love and care, they can change back.

The story follows a girl named Rin and she was an unknown child belonging to an old man named Souichi and when he dies, she's left alone. ...

What does it mean to die? What feelings come with death and what are the qualities to state that you're dead? The anime follows the concept of something similar to the movie Final Destination, of people dying one by one due to an unknown reason, yet has its own twist to it to make it even better. You're put into a situation where someone is not needed. There's an extra person, yet its completely unknown and everyone's life is in danger.

Another is an anime that originally aired in 2012, yet still manages to capture fans with its plot and uneasy feeling. The idea of the ...

Studio Ghibli has a long history of film making and is known for its great producers. They've made a name for themselves as one of the best studios in the past few decades with all the movies that have risen to fame quickly and cultivating fans throughout their entire run. Everyone has probably watched a Miyazaki film or heard his name. His movies are always top quality and tend to outshine the other films Ghibli makes.

Neko no Ongashi or The Cat Returns is one that has received both good and bad opinions over the years. I discovered this movie due to watching a marathon of ...

Welcome to the Survival Game Club! A place where we imagine battles with fake guns and take comedy to the extreme!

The anime was something I was unsure to watch, with it's bright palette it didn't seem to suit the military genre and I didn't know what to expect. After watching the entire series I can safely say it's something that I enjoyed from the start to finish. The anime was hidden due to the strong Summer line-up such as SAO 2, Glasslip and Barakamon. It didn't get as much justice as it should have in my opinion.

With the anime following the comedy route, you ...

The concept of flags seems interesting right? Death flags, friendship flags, even a romance flag to top it all off. The low score this anime has is something I strongly disagree with. I think people are reading the synopsis and jumping the gun when they read about the concept. This is NOT an Action/Adventure whatsoever. This is a Comedy/Harem anime!

With that in mind this anime has a concept that is unique and did a good job showing it for the genre that this anime is under. It made some really good comedy and actually has some serious parts in it.

This anime has sprung a lot ...

If you're looking for an anime with romance and relationships, this isn't what you're looking for. If you're looking for an anime with endless hilarity and gags that runs off love and romance, this is what you're looking for. This anime thrives off misjudgments and the characters.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is an anime thats been the laughing central of this summer. With the theme of manga-artists becoming more popular lately such as, Manga-ka to assistant-san or mangirl ,it's becoming much more attractive and interesting to watch. This is a gem that's becoming popular due to its laughable characters and misinterpretations that occur all the time.
