What an amazing manga Levius by Haruhisa Haruhisa Nakata was and is. In a first part of 18 chapters, this work introduces you to a vaporized, mechanized and industrialized world, reminiscent of different times, another era, a world of violent and deadly fights.
Oneself without knowing, would say that Levius is boxing, but to what extent?
The manga makes believe that it will be another fight story, but it changes and gets involved in political issues within itself, the war is a very present reminder that they take on importance as we move forward.
To the point that even something that seems like a "simple" fight can

pose a potential risk to the nations involved.
His mysticism and representation of what Mechanical Boxing means to fighters is an aspect that I love. Levis's own feelings in the fight have a triggering weight for the story and for those he fights for and loves, those he wishes to see.
The characters are another strong point because despite having only 18 chapters, each one is an important piece in the section that is being developed. Its importance increases along with the tension of the fights themselves, leaving loose ends to be resolved in the second part.
And now the best: His drawing.
There are plenty of words about how spectacular his art is. It has the same effect on me as Baki's art, not because they are similar (far from it), but because they are both different and more apart from what is usually expected from a manga. It is a delight.
Anyway: give Levius a chance. Who knows, out there it surprises them as much as it does me.

Que manga tan sorprendente que fue y es Levius de Haruhisa Haruhisa Nakata. En una primera parte de 18 capítulos esta obra te introduce en un mundo vaporizado, mecanizado e industrializado, que recuerda a tiempos diferentes, a otra época, un mundo de peleas violentas y mortales.
Uno mismo sin saber, diría que Levius es de boxeo, pero ¿Hasta qué punto?
El manga hace creer que será otra historia lucha, pero cambia y se involucra en temas políticos dentro de sí mismo, la guerra es un recordatorio muy presente que toman importancia a medida que avanzamos.
Hasta el punto de que incluso algo que parece una “simple” pelea, puede representar un potencial riesgo para las naciones involucradas.
Su misticismo y la representación de lo que significa el Boxeo Mecánico para los luchadores es un aspecto que me encanta. Los sentimientos del propio Levis en la lucha tienen un peso detonante para la historia y para aquellos por quien pelea y ama, aquellos a los que desea ver.
Los personajes son otro punto fuerte porque a pesar de tener solo 18 capítulos, cada uno es una pieza importante en el tramo que se está desarrollando. Su importancia aumenta junto con la tensión de las propias peleas, dejando cabos sueltos por resolver en la segunda parte.
Y ahora lo mejor: Su dibujo.
Sobran palabras de lo espectacular que es su arte. Me produce el mismo efecto que el arte de Baki, no porque sean parecidos (ni mucho menos), sino porque ambos son diferentes y más apartados de lo que se suele esperar de un manga. Es un deleite.
En fin: denle una oportunidad a Levius. Quien sabe, por ahí les sorprende tanto como a mí.

Last night I read this One-shot called "Sekai no Owari no Pen Friend".
It is one of those short stories that have a unique charm, a pure magic that makes you smile in the midst of disaster. Three characters, two scenarios. The result? A beautiful ending. A lost gem out there.
"In a post-apocalyptic stationery store, a girl and a former animator exchange letters. A dystopian correspondence story."
That's the synopsis of it and you don't need anything else. An encounter between a man and a girl who yearn with magic for what they love so much or knew how to love.
To finish, I want to keep

something precious that one of its protagonists said:
"No matter what, as long as there's one person talking and one person listening... that's enough to make a good story."
Never so real.

Anoche leí este One-shot llamado "Sekai no Owari no Pen Friend".
Es de esas historias cortas que tienen un encanto único, una magia pura que te saca una sonrisa en medio del desastre. Tres personajes, dos escenarios ¿El resultado? Un hermoso desenlace. Una joyita perdida por ahí.
"En una papelería postapocalíptica, una chica y un antiguo animador intercambian cartas. Una historia de correspondencia distópica."
Esa es su sinopsis y no necesita nada más. Un encuentro entre un hombre y una niña que anhelan con magia aquello que tanto aman o supieron amar.
Para terminar, me quiero quedar con algo precioso que dijo uno de sus protagonista:
"Sin importar como, mientras haya una persona que hable y otra que escuche... eso será suficiente para hacer una buena historia".
Nunca tan real.

Sayonara Eri by Tatsuki Fujimoto demonstrates (once again) the narrative capacity that this mangaka has to convey so many emotions, in such a fine and mature way.
A manga that tells life, tells death, tells reality, fiction, what you want to remember and what you want to forget.
Pure and hard cinematic, it reminded me a lot of the great character that Togata was in Fire Punch.
Both sleeves seek to pursue a vision or an idea in leaving "something" to be remembered through this art. It is in this facet where Fujimoto is surprising me the most.
In short: excellent manga.
Hopefully we have Fujimoto for a while
...
because what this being does is too incredible. I haven't read Look Back but I've heard good things, I'll have to read it at some point.

Sayonara Eri de Tatsuki Fujimoto demuestra (otra vez) la capacidad narrativa que tiene este mangaka para transmitir tantas emociones, de manera tan fina y madura.
Un manga que relata vida, relata muerte, relata realidad, ficción, lo que quieres recordar y lo que quieres olvidar.
Cinemática pura y dura, me recordó muchísimo a el gran personaje que fue Togata en Fire Punch.
En ambos mangas se busca perseguir una visión o una idea en dejar "algo" para ser recordado a través de este arte. Es en esta faceta donde Fujimoto me está sorprendiendo más.
En resumen: Manga excelente.
Ojalá tengamos Fujimoto para rato porque lo que hace este ser es demasiado increíble. No leí Look Back pero escuche buenas cosas, tocará leerlo en algún momento.

Finally up to date with Aharen-san wa Hakarenai's manga.
It is very pleasant to read each chapter. It has a perfect combination between its spectacular comedy, its simple but cute romance and its Slice of Life not quite as ordinary as expected, but together it works.
That said: His comedy makes me spectacular.
It may seem repetitive, but the way he uses his gags is perfect. From Raidou overanalyzing situations, to the teacher who suffers from "pathos".
He blurts out such bizarre situations out of nowhere and they are a laugh out loud.
The romance is there and it works especially for the protagonists.
Aharen who doesn't know how to

measure distances, Raidou the expressionless one who doesn't understand walks, or understands everything.
The situations that occur between them and how each one through their way of being face it makes it special.
With 140 chapters currently, it is a very enjoyable manga. It can be read lightly while you have a cup of tea without further ado.
Personally from what it wears, I just love what I read and more knowing that we will soon have an adaptation.
I recommend? If you are looking for something quiet, it is a yes.

Por fin al día con el manga de Aharen-san wa Hakarenai.
Es muy agradable leer cada capitulo. Tiene una combinación perfecta entre su comedia espectacular, su romance simple pero lindo y su Slice of Life no tan normal y corriente como se espera, pero que en conjunto funciona.
Lo dicho: Su comedia se me hace espectacular.
Puede parecer repetitiva, pero la forma en que utiliza sus gags es perfecta. Desde Raidou sobreanalizando situaciones, hasta la profesora que sufre de "patetismo".
Suelta situaciones tan bizarras de la nada y son un estallo de risa.
El romance esta ahí y funciona sobretodo por los protagonistas.
Aharen que no sabe medir las distancias, Raidou el inexpresivo que no entiende anda, o entiende todo.
Las situaciones que se dan entre ellos y como cada uno a través de su forma de ser lo afrontan lo hace especial.
Con 137 capítulos actualmente, es un manga muy ameno. Se puede leer ligeramente mientras te tomas un té sin más.
Personalmente de lo que lleva, simplemente me encanta lo que leí y más sabiendo que pronto tendremos adaptación.
¿Recomiendo? Si buscas algo tranquilo, es un si.

Tatsuki Fujimoto's Fire Punch is cruel, disgusting, and violent. A story thrown by a "revenge" lost in nothingness itself that takes you through its sadistic world frozen in flames.
And the incredible thing about manga is that, the representation of its world. A place where sanity does not exist and where it is shown how cruel humans can be when social barriers cease to exist.
Agni is the key to that lost sanity and also the answer to it.
As the story progresses, Agni ceases to be the same to a point of no return, and his presence becomes something "divine" and unattainable for others. Religion and

more precisely faith, move people and that divine construction is maintained at all times.
Another key point is Agni and his essence (or rather: curse) of living. The idea that he should not die is always used, repeating similar situations that occur over and over again, each of them having an incredible impact, not only on Agni, but on ourselves.
Fire Punch is too good and original in its cinematic look that goes through all the walls. This idea and interest in the cinema is kept to a certain extent as a "joke", but it perfectly transforms itself to mark a large part of the story. In the beginning, in the end.
Finally, the free interpretation of the ending is something I love.
When it ends, it leaves a satisfied feeling of having read a work that, with so many things at stake, resorts to the most basic, warm and affective resource without losing the magic that was maintained at the beginning.

Fire Punch de Tatsuki Fujimoto es cruel, asqueroso y violento. Una historia tirada por una "venganza" perdida en la nada misma que te lleva por su sádico mundo congelado en llamas.
Y lo increíble del manga es eso, la representación de su mundo. Un lugar donde la cordura no existe y en donde se muestra lo cruel que pueden ser los humanos cuando las barreras sociales dejan de existir.
Agni es la clave de esa cordura perdida y también la respuesta a la misma.
A medida que avanza la historia, Agni deja de ser el mismo hasta un punto de no retorno, y su presencia se convierte en algo "divino" e inalcanzable para los demás. La religión y mas precisamente la fe, mueven a las personas y esa construcción divina se mantiene en todo momento.
Otro punto clave es Agni y su esencia (o mas bien: maldición) de vivir. Se recurre siempre a la idea de que el no debe morir, repitiendo situaciones similares que ocurren una y otra vez, teniendo un impacto increíble cada una de ellas, no solo en Agni, sino en nosotros mismos.
Fire Punch es demasiado bueno y original en su mirada cinemática que traspasa todas las paredes. Esta idea e interés en el cine se mantiene hasta cierto punto como un "chiste", pero perfectamente la misma se transforma para marcar gran parte de la historia. En inicio, en final.
Para terminar, la libre interpretación sobre el final son algo que amo.
Cuando termina deja una sensación satisfecha de haber leído una obra que, con tantas cosas en juego, recurre al recurso más básico, cálido y afectivo sin dejar de perder la magia que se mantuvo en su inicio.

Masaki Segawa's Basilisk is a pure and simple ninja manga. It portrays a confrontation between two clans united by mutual hatred for generations, but also united by love.
A story that has the same ninja essence, going unnoticed and fighting from the shadows.
The best thing about Basilisk is its characters, each one is important and they all have the same chance to live or die. Although there are a couple of protagonists, the manga does not marry any of them and anyone can kill anyone just like that. Fast and without suffering, slow and sad.

good.
Here the ninjas are just pawns to move without any importance, or a resource willing to sacrifice. The whole story unfolds with the sense of being "hidden", a silent war for the benefit of others.
In 34 chapters, Basilisk created a beautiful story full of death and twisted love.
In the end the two things are similar and what was destined to happen in the past will happen again and will be destined to happen in the future. A peace marked by blood and forgotten sacrifices.

Basilisk de Masaki Segawa es un manga de ninjas puro y duro. Retrata un enfrentamiento entre dos clanes unidos por el odio mutuo durante generaciones, pero también los une el amor.

En 34 capítulos, Basilisk creo una historia hermosa llena de muerte y amor retorcido.
Al final las dos cosas son similares y lo que estuvo destinado a pasar en el pasado, volverá a pasar y estará destinado a pasar en el futuro. Una paz marcada de sangre y sacrificios olvidados.

"My Broken Mariko" by Waka Hirako is going to make me sad for a long time.
An unhappy story that conveys despair, anguish, fear, as well as the mourning that a near death. It shows the need for catharsis to return to a place that will no longer be like before.

Me gustaría escribir algo más, pero no me sale nada. Tantos temas delicados que toca y los transforma en un significado más profundo y personal. Ya sea para Shiino, como para cada quien.

Where Baki's first manga shined, this one failed to maintain that quality.
The truth is that he remembered "New Grappler Baki" much better than it ended up being, even though the anime also faltered at times, he remembered it much better. This does not mean that he had good moments.
Baki is pretty much out of the story because he doesn't directly participate in any major fights during all arcs except the ending (although he does have some good moments, but very loose ones).
He is more focused on his love life and this feels heavy and boring.
The arc of the prisoners starts very well with the

excellent character that was Dorian. During his time in this arc, he felt like a real villain that involved a danger to the characters. The whole story of him and how they related and concluded it was impeccable.
But after this, the rest of the prisoners are either very wasted or some totally sell out.
The only salvageable is Doyle, who had his development especially with Retsu and Katsumi. He knew how to learn from the mistakes he made, but his end was too bitter and inconclusive.
Raitai's arc was so-so. He had his moments and some fights were fun, but it seemed like Itagaki had no idea what to do. He was changing the whole dynamic every two chapters to the point that some things were contradictory. Anyway, pineapples work.
And not to mention the last arc, a total aberration.
They oversold Alli Jr. to rip him apart in two panels (literally). Although he deserved it for wanting to be more alive than the others and get everything easy, and on top of that steal the protagonist's girlfriend. I don't have any catches here.
But we must give this manga a point for giving us two fights that overflowed with quality and put them among the best in all of Baki in general. These are:
- Hanayama vs. Speck
- Yujiro vs. Kaku Kaioh
The first, raw brutality. The second, strength against martial arts.
With all the defects, it still seems like a manga that entertains a lot and hooks you very quickly until you can't stop reading.

Donde el primer manga de Baki brilló, este no pudo mantenen esa calidad.
La verdad es que recordaba a "New Grappler Baki" mucho mejor de lo que termino siendo, a pesar de que el anime también flojeaba por momentos, lo recordaba mucho mejor. Esto no quita que tuvo buenos momentos.
Baki esta prácticamente fuera de la historia porque no participa directamente en ninguna pelea importante durante todos los arcos exceptuando el final (aunque tiene algunos buenos momentos, pero muy sueltos).
Esta más enfocado en su vida amorosa y esto se siente pesado y aburre.
El arco de los presos arranca muy bien con el excelente personaje que fue Dorian. Durante su tiempo en este arco, se sintió como un verdadero villano que involucraba un peligro para los personajes. Toda su historia y como la fueron relacionando y concluyendo fue impecable.
Pero después de este, el resto de los presos o son muy desperdiciados o unos vende humos totales.
El único salvable es Doyle, que tuvo su desarrollo en especial junto a Retsu y Katsumi. Supo aprender de los errores que cometió, pero su final fue demasiado amargo e inconcluso.
El arco del Raitai fue regular. Tuvo sus momentos y algunas peleas fueron divertidas, pero pareciera que Itagaki no tenia ni idea de que hacer. Iba cambiando toda la dinámica cada dos capítulos al punto de que algunas cosas eran contradictorias. En fin, las piñas funcionan.
Y ni hablar del ultimo arco, una aberración total.
Vendieron demasiado a Alli Jr. para destrozarlo en dos paneles (literalmente). Aunque lo tenia merecido por querer ser mas vivo que los demás y obtener todo fácil, y encima robarle la novia al protagonista. Ni capturas tengo acá.
Pero hay que darle un punto a este manga en darnos dos peleas que desbordaban calidad y las ponen entre las mejores de todo Baki en general. Estas son:
- Hanayama vs Speck
- Yujiro vs Kaku Kaioh
La primera, brutalidad pura y dura. La segunda, fuerza contra artes marciales.
Con todos los defectos, me sigue pareciendo un manga que entretiene muchísimo y te engancha rapidísimo hasta no parar de leer.

In the end, this work really turned out to be the jewel that sold me. It is a manga worth reading, even more so with its unpredictable development at the hands of a Tatsuki Fujimoto who ignores the "normal" paths to follow when telling the story.
Fujimoto is carried away by the originality of his ideas. The author is not afraid to show how reality works in the world in which he lives, he is cruel, ruthless and does not differentiate any person. The feeling that no one is safe is always present.
This cruel reality is reflected in his characters. No one is except from

sins, absolutely everyone has their problems and they deal with them in different ways. Some decide to run away from it, others to accept it and face it, others to be indifferent, others to face it with alcohol and madness.
Denji's progress is seamless in the sense that he changes throughout the story, but he's still the same demon. The human part of him is very camouflaged and before you know it, the bonds he has with the people he is surrounded by are getting stronger.
With Power it is something similar. She is explosive, unbearable, spontaneous when it comes to acting, fragile at times and forms a bond with Denji. Power is an example that it is not necessary to change that way of being to have more development, that same regularity is worth by itself.
Aki for her part found in Denji and Power a kind of brother, as well as some happiness. Aki was imprisoned by a dream turned into a lie that transformed him into something that he swore to destroy and could not face.
The sad outcome of him leaves him as the best character in the play.
I hate Makima, but I don't deny that he is an excellent character. In addition to the manipulation that it exerted on the rest, the mystery that it generated for me from the beginning was the most important thing. It was never known what he was thinking, what he was doing, for whom or why. His way of being was so enigmatic.
This mystery also carries over to the world itself. The very “essence” of hell, the background behind the gun demon, how big the world feels when they involve conflicts between nations. The world of Chainsaw Man is full of mysteries discovered or not.
Special mention to my second favorite character: Kishibe. A person who is always seen as calm, is an alcoholic, quite crazy and at a certain point somewhat emotional (although always coldly). But despite this, Kishine was the only guy who understood everything from the start.
Some like Himeno are left behind, who despite appearing little, greatly influenced Aki's history. Also Kobeni, who had a terribly bad time. As well as the demons, either the fanatical shark or the melancholy angel (I loved the latter). They were there, but not much.
Again, Fujimoto does not differentiate anyone. Tons of characters were introduced only to be killers, with pain or just quickly. But I like this point a lot because it makes you doubt at all times if your favorite character can die in the next panel.
Fujimoto knows perfectly well how to go from simplistic and understandable drawings, to disgustingly detailed visual madness that gives everything excellent dynamism. Not to mention the fights, a headache trying to follow the madness of the moment. In his own way, he's cute.
In the end, Chainsaw Man understands demons and people alike and the story seems to empathize with both, but when the time comes they don't care in the slightest. Because the real world is like that. And despite that, the chainsaw kid still didn't stop cutting.

Al final, esta obra realmente resulto ser la joya que me vendieron. Es un manga que vale la pena leer, más aún con su desarrollo impredecible de la mano de un Tatsuki Fujimoto que se pasa por alto los caminos “normales” por seguir a la hora de contar la historia.
Fujimoto se deja llevar por la originalidad de sus ideas. El autor no tiene miedo en mostrar cómo funciona la realidad en el mundo en el que se mueve, es cruel, es despiadado y no diferencia a ninguna persona. La sensación de que nadie está a salvo se encuentra siempre presente.
Esta cruel realidad se refleja en sus personajes. Ninguno esta excepto de pecados, absolutamente todos tienen sus problemas y los afrontan de diferentes maneras. Algunos deciden huir, otros aceptarla y enfrentarla, otros ser indiferente, otros encararla con alcohol y locura.

Aki por su parte encontró en Denji y Power una especie de hermanos, así como también algo de felicidad. Aki fue preso de un sueño convertido en mentira que lo transformo en algo que juro destruir y no pudo enfrentar.
Su triste desenlace lo deja como el mejor personaje de la obra.
Odie a Makima, pero no niego que sea un personaje excelente. Además de la manipulación que ejercía sobre el resto, el misterio que me generó desde el inicio fue lo más importante. Nunca se supo que pensaba, que hacía, para quien o porqué. Fue tan enigmática su forma de ser.
Este misterio también se traslada al mundo en sí. La misma “esencia” del infierno, el trasfondo que hay detrás del demonio pistola, lo grande que se siente el mundo cuando involucran conflictos entre naciones. El mundo de Chainsaw Man está lleno de misterios descubiertos o no.
Mención especial a mi segundo personaje favorito: Kishibe. Una persona que es visto siempre calmado, es alcohólico, bastante loco y en cierto punto algo emocional (aunque siempre con frialdad). Pero a pesar de esto, Kishine fue el único tipo que entendió todo desde un principio.
Se quedan atrás algunos como Himeno, que a pesar de aparecer poco, influyo mucho en la historia de Aki. También Kobeni, que la pasaba terriblemente mal. Así como los demonios, ya sea el tiburón fanático o el ángel melancólico (este ultimo me encanto). Estuvieron ahí, pero poco.
De nuevo, Fujimoto no diferencia a nadie. Muchísimos personajes fueron introducidos para luego ser asesinos sin más, con sufrimiento o solo rápidamente. Pero este punto me gusta mucho porque te hace dudar en todo momento si en el siguiente panel tu personaje favorito puede morir.
Fujimoto sabe perfectamente como pasar de unos dibujos simplistas y entendibles, a unas locuras visuales asquerosamente detalladas que le dan un dinamismo excelente a todo. Ni hablar de las peleas, un dolor de cabeza tratar de seguir la locura del momento. A su manera, es lindo.
Al final, Chainsaw Man entiende a los demonios y a las personas por igual y la historia parece empatizar con ambas, pero llegado el momento no les importa el más mínimo. Porque el mundo real es así. Y a pesar de eso, el pibe motosierra todavía no dejó de cortar.

After so much time I finished Grappler Baki by Keisuke Itagaki and it effectively becomes one of my favorite works by now. A manga full of incredible moments, completely exaggerated and surreal. But besides that, a frantic madness that does not stop.
The story also engages very quickly, especially when they tell us the most pre-adolescent part of Baki, with the theme of his mother and showing him that he is also as strong as his father. The hardest moments for him take place here and that greatly improves the work later on.
The tournament arc is excellent on its own, one of the best tournaments

I've seen. Also adding and bringing back so many characters makes it even better.
Jack, Retsu, Katsumi, Hanayama, Shibukawa, are some of those excellent fighters who are now joining the group.
Baki is an excellent protagonist and his development suits the story very well. Everything that happens to him in his life has his weight and, above all, Baki is basically an excellent person who avoids, unlike his father, being too lethal when it comes to fighting.
But the crown goes to HIM, Yujiro Hanma. The weight that this guy has in the story is incredible, no matter what is happening, when he shows up everyone focuses on him and what is happening loses importance. Not ironically the best antagonist I've seen in an anime/manga.
Now it's time to start New Grappler Baki with the whole arc of the prisoners, which was what made me start this series in general.
This manga does not disappoint and only gets better.

Después de tanto tiempo me termine Grappler Baki de Keisuke Itagaki y efectivamente se convierte por ahora en una de mis obras favoritas. Un manga lleno de momentos increíbles, completamente exagerados y surrealistas. Pero además de eso, una locura frenética que no para.
La historia también engancha muy rápido, sobre todo cuando nos cuentan la parte más preadolescente de Baki, con el tema de su madre y el demostrarle que el también es tan fuerte como su padre. Los momentos más duros para él se dan acá y eso mejora muchísimo la obra más adelante.
El arco del torneo es excelente por sí solo, uno de los mejores torneos que vi. El hecho también de agregar y traer otra vez a tantos personajes lo hace aún mejor.
Jack, Retsu, Katsumi, Hanayama, Shibukawa, son algunos de esos excelentes luchadores que ahora se suman al grupo.
Baki es un protagonista excelente y su desarrollo se adaptan muy bien a la historia. Todo lo que le va pasando en su vida tiene su peso y, por sobre todo, Baki es en el fondo una excelente persona que evita, a diferencia de su padre, ser demasiado letal a la hora de luchar.
Pero la corona se la lleva EL, Yujiro Hanma. El peso que tiene este tipo en la historia es increíble, no importa lo que esté pasando, cuando aparece todos se centran en él y lo que esté pasando pierde importancia. No irónicamente, el mejor antagonista que vi en un anime/manga.
Ahora toca empezar New Grappler Baki con todo el arco de los presos, que fue lo que me hizo empezar esta saga en general.
Este manga no defrauda y solo mejora.
