I was very much vary of how this anime might proceed further, but I must say all the character development and the way story progressed was amazing.
The story definitely has its own unique settings and storyline.
The art style is amazing, with great use of fluid animation.
The Characters were appropriately influenced by their emotions and took the right course and met the appropriate fate.
The portrayal of a range of emotions within each character how these emotions shape them and with great fight scenes will want you craving more. The climax was more than satisfying all in all, the anime always keeps you on the edge,

Describing the movie in Two words: Beautifully ABSTRACT.
Made my heart flutter in the very starting with its Tu Tu ru Rururu ru rururururururuururu. Animation: So first coming to the animation, Suzume No Tojimari doesn't cut any corners in that aspect, it's visually extremely pleasing and has one of the best animations I've ever come across. Most of the audience has written negative reviews, I respect all of them.
But to be honest, I can understand this response as this is an Anime with a very Abstract theme. It's very specific and designed to align with a realistic point of view and emotions. To understand anime we need to really think from the viewpoint of MCs. Touko and Kakeru are both very complicated characters in a very complicated situations and how they deal with their circumstances forms the crux of the story. It was an alright story.
The story progression was messed up, and the plot was all over the place. Could have had this run for a few more episodes to bring the story together. The MC especially Erika and Kouhei needed more substance and character development. The theme was well picked up, on vampires and the school setting was great but depth in each character was major missing. Introducing a rivalry for Sendou could have had maybe a better impact on the storyline. ...

Great ending, the best part about the anime for me was the MC was very well conceptualized.
Yu is not some perfect MC with a very gentle and caring side, he turns insane and had shortcomings and vulnerabilities as we do. It was his flaws that made me take a liking to him. Loved all the other characters and the way story had maturity associated with it was amazing to watch. It's not your generic anime storyline rather it's got its unique vibe you'll feel excited, at times feel heartbreak and also feel hope while watching this great piece of art.

It is a beautiful Anime with, a very well-planned storyline.
Characters, despite their age, have great maturity. It's a show crafted very close to real-life situations. Kokoro especially comes out as a great character who handles her demons of the past in the best way. Coming to Yusuzu, her character at times, is adorable, and at the same time few places I found her very annoying too. Exactly what a typical 5-year-old should be like. Mixed feelings, the theme was very mature tbh. Overall the anime pulled off everything in an okayish manner. Haruka could have been managed a little bit better. Mitsuki could have been a little less messed up. Well, that's all my personal opinion. There's a complete gloom atmosphere after 3rd episode, which could have been avoided.
On the positive side yes, the ending was great as he chose Mitsuki. Not only that he pulled himself together as compared to his pathetic self throughout the anime. Takayaki is not the ideal MC and is pathetic tbh. Animation was normal considering the time it was launched.

Great Entertainer. The best part is the anime's potential to garner attention right from the first episode and keep the viewers very engaged and entertained till the end, it's a remarkable feat.
Some questions I feel could have been answered, like did they ever tell Miri the truth? I feel this could have been a big crux of the anime, as to how their dynamic as a family would have been affected if she found out about her past after growing up. It'd have been really interesting. Initial Impressions , there are many similarities one can draw out when comparing this anime to Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. as the centreline plot remains same female MC with socialising issue befriends male MC character and expands their group gradually.
But the real differentiator is the animation and the character arts itself the character Aharen-san is simply too adorable to be judged harshly as an anime reviewer. Thanks to the character art and animation the character has come out to be very heartwarming and adorable. As a fan of soccer anime after going through Hungry Heart: Wild Striker , Giant Killing , Area no Kishi , inazuma eleven , Days etc in the category of realistic Anime I feel the freshness of this anime in particular. Unlike the " newbie main protagonist with hidden potential and a central rival" plotline , it has a different take very unconventional one but refreshing and different which is really enjoyable to watch.
The way characters have been developed in just 5 episodes are really commendable and its rare to see in Anime nowadays. Hats-off to the Art and story team a commendable job done ... |
