This shouldn't have been an independent film. Impeccable voice acting, exquisite yet impactful moments, Sakuta being the greatest Onii-chan there ever was - yet it felt... plain, at least compared to the previous arcs animated.

Despite all the conflicts Kaede faces throughout the show, all the heartwarming but slow build-up made it almost feel like a slice of life show rather than a supernatural and mysterious one. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as nothing feels forced, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I wanted more oomph to the story. I personally was craving for Futaba to ted-talk some next-level Nobel-prize winning hypothesis just ...

Movie 26 has been the most critically acclaimed and watched case out of all the Conan movies and... It did not disappoint!

Plenty of explosions, gun actions and Ran being a badass as always. The case itself wasn't anything special, but the trick they used was, without spoilers, ABSOLUTELY INSANE. (The next Conan's hint would be... coffee cups!)

The fact that the murder took place in the middle of the ocean + no annoying Detective Boys made the experience a lot better as there was more attention put towards the Black organization trying to find Haibara's identity (made it feel like she was the heroine of the ...

Blue Giant (Anime) add
Blue Giant has just set the standard for music Anime.

Post high-school, a lot of us feel lost in life, not knowing what to work on or aim for in the future. Many keep studying at Uni even when it's dull and boring because people assure you that 'you'll have a good future'. BG blows this fear and uncertainty away and illustrates an amazing adventure the band JASS advances through to reach for their ultimate goal.

Protagonist Dai in particular is very ambitious and commits himself to become a musician, leaving his hometown Sendai to walk down a treacherous path to make it big at the ...

Never read a single chapter of Slam Dunk in my life and absolutely hate basketball because you can't double dribble. Yet this film was 100% worth watching.

All the players felt so real, blazing fiercely with passion and dedication to achieve victory. Their troubled pasts, challenges and training they had to undergo really amped up the final showdown, almost as if I was watching one of those intense motivational speeches on youtube. The composition went in perfectly when it needed to, encapsulating the scenes beautifully. MHA style.

CGI... You will be throwing up and dying for the first 10 minutes and will (hopefully) recover from it by ...

One word to sum up the film. MID (I promise I tried...)

Even though the story was centered around the most interesting characters of the show, the ogres, the film barely touched upon their background. It was very frustrating being shown boring world building of some npc town rather than exploring my kijin waifu's past. Sure it's non-canon, but it would've been amazing if they covered Benimaru and his tribe's history or their adventures, similar to One Piece Film Red.

'Show not tell' was non-existent - it was like taking an exam with the amount of dialogue I was spoon-fed... Wished they trimmed it down a bit. ...

Suzume no Tojimari is a soothing yet mysterious story. A young country girl is on an adventure of self-discovery, exploring urban cities of Japan for the first time to lock these so-called 'doors' - a journey that tests her bravery, love and willpower in order to achieve her goal.

The animation immediately immerses you into its incredible world: from delipidated yet exquisite ruins to the mythical luminous land behind the magical 'doors'... Each scene is so incredibly detailed that it has its own story to tell! Almost feels like a trip that you can look back in years and still reminisce.

All the interactions between ...

The movie is a continuation of the first Progressive SAO - straight into a meaty fight scene right off the bat. The cinematography is so crisp that you won't want to take your eyes off the screen! This combined with the ear-pleasing sound effects made all the attacks from the Kirito gang so satisfying that it's almost like asmr!

...And that's about it :p

Aside from a cute furry being introduced, the movie felt like a copy and paste of an episode from season 1: a plot that was ok at best, a tonne of scenes with lore I didn't really care about (apart from the ones ...

Great animation and voice acting. I'd highly recommend watching if these two are your main priorities as Studio CLAP did an amazing job of illustrating beautiful sceneries of rural Japan and precisely capturing the character's emotions. No lazy/rushed drawings. The music's pretty lit too, but nothing out of the ordinary.

What was really a shame was the pacing of the film - incredibly abrupt (short movie-time problems…) and a lot of the scenes felt really off because of it. I haven’t read the original novel, but you can tell a lot of small but important details have been cut off. As a result, some ...
