Story is garbage,mind controled Kojou is garbage,this whole thing is a big pile of garbage.
For majority of story i constantly felt like i enterned someones mind and watched their weird fetishes and fantasies...not cool.
Did i mention the story is garbage ? Yeah we have a usual King wants Princess to marry and Princess doenst want to marry anyone chosen by the King so she chooses someone by herself and the King is not thrilled by it... blah blah blah,you know the drill.

First things first,this is NOT the same action packed,lewd and funny anime like in first season.Its more serious and slow.
This whole part feels more like the "quiet before the storm" part of practically every show in existence. The whole premise of it is Rudeus fighting with his depression and Erectile Dysfunction caused by being dumped by Eris. Lets start with the Ranoa Arc,the first ep was great but it also set really high bar of expectations which the following 3 eps unfortunately didn't meet,especially the second episode where i got flashback form first season of SAO and its bullshit time skips.The one thing is ...

Tbh,im completely surprised.I thought this will be a pile of trash but it was actually fine,well besides the first story which was bad,very bad,but the second creeped me out which not happens often.
The second story reminded me of old Scooby Doo movies,it basically was one but for adults. The sound is very good,it makes half of work in setting up the mood which modern horror animes unfortunately lack. I dont have much to say about the first story besides it was weird and not good kind of weird. The only bad thing i have to say about the whole anime is its look, i couldnt ...

I really tried to like this Anime but its nearly impossible.
The only reedeming quality of it its the atmosphere,the rest is just...not good. First, we have the godawful pacing,its like watching a fight between sloths in slow motion,if you're not a fan of watching two dudes staring at each other for 2 minutes,skip it. Second,there is not a single likeable character in this anime,everyone is either fucked in the head,weird or just simply an asshole. And for the last complain,it feels like madhouse forgot to make an proper ending for it because the fight from first ep is never adressed again,ten eps of buildup and for what ? To ...

There is a saying in my country that something is a "shit in golden wrappings".
This is perfect example of that sentence,the gore,atmosphere,overall "creepyness" are perfect,but "the meat" of this anime is just bad. The sheer amount of stupidity of the characters is overwhelming and it goes way beyond your usual "dumb teenagers in a horror movie". The next issue is the pacing of the anime,its WAY too rushed,i havent played the game and for most of the time i had no idea what was happening and how and why. If you like gore you can give this a watch but tbh just save your time and watch When ... |
