This is by all means an spiritual succesor of evangelion not only on themes but many elements presents on this series resemble on more or less degree to the aformentioned though still is his own thing as a whole.
With more than 20 years on his back since aired soukyu no fafner is a anime of mechas, drama and sci-fi that touches a lot of existencial themes with a pacing that is falling to the side of being slow (at least that is what most poeple are gonna feel watching it although wasnt a problem to me) accompained of LOT of drama, it takes his time
...
developing the characters and their respective struggles but still manage to allow the action to happen more than enough.
Like i said it puts a lot of enfasis on the characters and all the background story revolving about the world which is one of the reason why the begining might feel it like its drag down if you are not used to this kind of pacing and anime of this nature, is very dark, gloomy and oppresive the atmosphere after just the firts episodes, the way how portray the situations and show to the spectator how desperly situation humanity is facing are very good executed, of course that i feel the drama by itseflt also helps a lot when so many dialogs and conversations take place along the series with heavy-tone themes.
Around the second half of the series is where things puts on motion and things start to move faster, most of the story happen on this island-fortress and even if the plot overall is not overly complicated it can result kinda confusing or you might not undertand everything, having to rewatch some moments on certain episodes because has this terminology and somekind of intricate way to narrate some lore of the plot which is not bad at all but also some dialogs like when this scientific (Akane Makabe) talks the shit starts to get serious XD with all this theories and logic explanations.
The only criticism would be one on the early moments of the series with Shouko Hazama which the event wasnt a problem but i feel was handle kinda mehh and the weight although had a huge impact on the rest of the cast also was delivered in a questionable way.
I cant not mention the ost of this series which is GOLD, all the tracks are lit with many cclasical pieces that are beautiful and melancolics and others are so epic it just makes all the experience so much better and the op and end also are freaking good with our dear angela for the vocals that when you reach the last episodes hits you really hard when starts to sound that ending.
Animation wise was okay not bad neither really good, on design i really like how the characters looked having the vibe of that era (early 2000).
Its a shame that most poeple dont know about this anime even after all this years, i hope that those interested on this kind of genere give it a try having on mind all the aformentioned because is a good series to say the least and deserves much more recognition.
Also there is a precuel and secuel to this series that i havent seen yet but glad to know that the story doesnt ends here.

Having finish pluto actually months ago im most than aware that my review its kinda late based on his emission date and most people might have seen it already at this point though if you havent yet you are lucky because this review could help you to decide (which it doesnt gonna be hard hehe).
Pluto an adaptation of a work with the same name from arasawa naoki praised and acclaimed for many like the pinacle of anime or even going so far calling it an materpiece now the question would be its really true? and the reality is that on a sea surrounded of
...
9 of ten times for each season of generic and formulaic series pluto feels like some kind of rare catch that its not usual at all and much more less holding such high productions values on many aspects, now that leaves you little to noexistent opponent against whom compete when you only have a bunch of cheap seasonally series is more than surely that yours is gonna outstand and even more doing the things right.
Said that by no means im not trying to diminish all the good of it but also is true that have been series and movies of the same degree and even better than this one.
With 8 epidoes of 1 hour each is something that is not usual on this media but kinda undertandable based on where was released first (netflix) but i would say that i actually liked this format 1 hour more on my opinion is better than only 20 minutes per episode though if we do the maths this would be an 24 episodes series if followed the rest of the series.
Its an series with mistery and sci-fi that revolves on a distant future touching themes like what draws the line from a mere robot to a human being and everything that entails that or the morality of war and his consequences with Gesicht encompassing the protagonism for most of the series, the pacing on this is not the traditional one and doesnt follows the classic structure we are used on many series, very frecuently we get full episodes where the focus goes to another characters like atom hilselft, episolon or others robots which makes you wondering if truly there is one protagonist on the strict means of the word.
In a way feels kinda superficial because many things are touched very lightly, sure you get the intention and messages but at the same time i cant avoid to think that pluto is floating without much idea where is going on the trama and overall story, has moving and touching moments that are gonna make you drop a tear and characters that are well written yet also feels like an collage that is not properly united on al his parts storytelling wise.
VIsually stunning and the ost is pretty good and so far from what i hear and saw is very truthly to his source material which its very appreciate it also the intro of each episode its freaking sick.
With an ending that leaves us with hope and a belief that with time the infinte cycle of hate might change pluto closes this story and like many others elements presents there is not better way to end it on a more real and human way than this.
Worth to mention with renows works under naoiki urasawa wings like monster (that enjoys of an amazing adaptation) or 20th century boys pluto is on my opinion one of the most weak ones but still a very good series not for less.
RESUME
Pluto cames like an storm and leave on his path many people satisfied with it, is a fresh air that happen from time to time nowdays with that feeling of old anime but at the same time infused with a modern adaptation yet respecting the original material, is an series that worth at least an opportunity to anyone into this kind of genere, the quality is more than assure and like most urawasa works is a captivating and a thought provoking piece, sure its has some downs and things that could be improved but overall i feel was a really good series maybe not a materpiece like many people like to rate it yet i enjoyed and had a blast all along the episodes.

Just like with the previous season the plot starts with kinda absurd reason that puts on movements all the followed events with this time our characters trying to go back on time preventing that the air conditioner remote gets broken which sends them on a crazy journey throughout of time.
Now the nature of the series is very fast paced on the sense that the dialogs between the chracters as well as the narration that happens sometimes are fast (not so much like the first season at least i feel that way), on simple surface might seems like all fun though just like with tatami galaxy
...
there are many serious and reflexive themes along the series on this instance being the premise revolving around time travel touching things like destiny or freewill like many others series that play with these themes yet like any others work of masaaki yuasa has this own unique take and approaching on it which makes for something really distinctive and fun experience. Im aware that on this instance the director is a complelty different person and that only natsume shing who was involved on the previous season is present but still hold the same elements, pacing and overall values that make so recognizable yuasa works.
This is supposedly to be a secuel (or at least that is how is categorize on MAL) and although might be true to some degree it is too that feels like an more standalone work and is because doesnt really follows an choronological manner so much like others series sure we can learn a little more about ozu and his relationship with watashi or akashi itselft but right from the beggining stars off like his own thing which besides the apparition of the same sacondary characters leaves little to place it like an direct continuation from the previous season.
This makes it on my opinion something possible to watch and enjoy without having knowledge of the previous one for anyone interested, its an kinda short season with only 6 episodes that last until all the time travel thing is done.
The op was kinda meh but the end is such a gem i love it, the soundtrack just like with the first season have so many cclasical pieces and are used so well to support some dialogs and moments.
RESUME
The Tatami Time Machine Blues is a crazy experience about time travel that although is categorize like an secuel due to his nature rather more independent doesnt make it necessary to watch previously the first season to fully enjoy this one, if you liked tatamki galaxy this one surely will be the same and for those new just give it a try im sure that at least you are gonna find some things whether be the chracters, plot , music, etc pleasing to you.

There is so much to say but so little time and actually dont want to make an testament of it but instead something kinda brief about my opinion after finishing it.
Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time serves as the closure for this tetralogy known as "rebuild", now this new interpretation of the original one of 96 has an different and new take on many aspects from the inclusion of a new character, the cutting on the screen-time of most secondary character who had more presence on the original one , a different intention and menssage overall on the story and of course a final
...
that just is night and day in comparision to the movie "Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion" of 97 .
Now even with all that said these movies hold out through out all of them the same soul from what did evangelion the cclasic that it was and still is to this day, the thing is that to me what draws a line here ( besides the fact that are movies instead of an series) was that the first two movies even if had the symbolism, atmosphere and craziness maked more sense story wise, what i mean is that we can follow and find logic to all the events that happen but still being true on all the rest which wasnt the case on the third one starting with the wrong foot obviating so many events and explanations from what we can see on the previous of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time follows the same path and i cant call it an error or categorize it like something bad neither because the reality is that felt much more with what we have experienced on the original of 96 with many things and moments wtf that we cant found much explanation or sense besides taking our own conjectures of it (which is completly fine that was an staple that made the series memorable and enjoyable on his own way).
The thing here is that i would wished that they stayed on the same track like the first two movies because left too much things on the air ike with characters as asuka who didnt had an proper treatment we see her but in much more less degree here and on the end is where she just get some minutes to close his development which to me at least felt kinda rushed , ikari gendo and all his project with the angels which was literally just going straight to the fight omitting all the preparations to that moment without at least having some glimpses of what was going on before that , Ryouji Kaji that we havent see him properly since the second movie or find out about what was about him to only having here literally two scenes of a couple of seconds, etc.
The quality animation and sound wise i cant discuss are really REALLY good with some beautiful scenearies and shots, sure there is cgi which in general terms on this media is not good (besides some exceptions to the rule of course) BUT it was not so much used and also no so bad like one could think, the ost is gold PERIOD, dude love the selection of pieces here some feels like you are watching an anime of the 90 and others just support each situation perfectly .
I dont wanna call it recycle but maybe there is a transcendental key moment that reuse to some degree some iconic scene portrayed on the movie of 97 i mean still has his own imaginery which is oustanding and some unique and crazy ones that feels taken out from a fever dream which feels like is taking place something that is out of this world giving more weight to it and the whole situtation.
To me evangelion as a whole from the old one to this new buch of movies "rebuild" felt like an biography itselft of my man hideaki anno with periods of his life were he might have gone through very hard moments emotionally and mentally (like happens to any person on life), its the reflection of the state in he was in those points of his life, that we can even see it on old interviews of him and also shows up seeing the themes and the overall atmosphere much more heavy-toned, oppressive and depressing direction that taked the original series and of course his final in contrast to these new movies that were much more you could call it "hopeful" with not only shiji but all the others character finally being able to get to be happy and move one even if that means to leave those they met behind.
There is a lot of beauty and love putted into this movie and many touching moments that might be kinda easy overlooked, is not only a piece of entertaiment but an reflexive and though provoking movie about life from which we can learn one of two things.
I enjoyed all the ride and even if i would wished that some things would remained the same direction wise still was something that i could reccomend to those who are debating on watching it or not. Is a movie that migh worth rewatching it after a time and pay attention more than usual to being able to fully appreciate and undertand not only the whole story but also the characters that are more human than at first glance seems to be.
Life continues and like anything nothing remains the same though years but there are works that no matter how much time pass by stays on your memory whether it's due to their story, characters, messages, your own interpretation of it, feeling identified with something or maybe all that combined and i feel that Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time is that, a conclusion of a journey not only for shinji or hideaki anno but also for us the spectators who stayed thouigh all of it together.
One last thing Sayonara subete no evangelion.

Set in a apocaliptic world where humanity is on border of extintion and drinking water is almost non-existent are the main bases for what is all about this series and the general conflics that surround all the plot.
The settings are interesting and the world building is something that from the first episode hook you though as you move forward on the series you go discovering that the structure that follows is rather pretty predictible and in general terms i should say kinda lazy not only in story but also character wise which provoques losing their most stronger points instead of getting something with
...
more exploration on the surroundings and slowsly learning more about the lore as also developing the character in a manner much more mature it just follows an route that feel like you have watched before even started.
The first 2 or even 3 episodes started pretty well introduce us the main characters (kaina and ririha) and still i would mention that there was a farwell scene (early on the series) that felt very cold on the context that happened, we learn a little more of the story and just little after that went straight to the main matter with all the war thing, the truth here is that i just got bore (due to two things "direction" and "characters") even more on the last stretch which felt like the producer go out of ideas and just copy-pasted all the cliches possibles for the final (and last couple of episodes) which i couldnt even name it like that because this seems to not end here but on a movie that serve as secuel.
Also the fanservice on the series made his apparition with the piss scene that cannot miss ohh boy really didnt served to anything for the series but still its there not for less XD.
With kaina i feel the series maked him too naive and clueless (which i dont know if is the right word to describe it) but not even according to his age and the environment in which he grown up which maked for situations pretty frustratings along the series with ririha really dont have much to say you watched one character on the rol that she occupies (the cclasic princess) on this kind of genere and for 90% of the cases you have seen all of them (sadly).
Secondary characters i dont bother too much on talk about it with some that are presented kinda wise and everything to go taking stupids actions and actually being surpirsed on the last moments on how turned out (Hallesora), others that look cool have an misteryous aura and have an promising background to develop that is not even touch (Amerote) or the actual tyrant that i dont get how turned ruling an entire country without anyone realizing that the man was entirely fuckup and out of mind until actually the last couple of episodes which was in a way hilarious (Handagil).
Animation was good is an 3D CG anime with polygon pictures behind which i consider being one of the only studios that produce good series that are not 2d and still remain that vibe of traditional drawing for the characters and backgrounds, it might not be their best work or at pair with others like ajin or knight of sidonia but still at least on visuals looked pretty good.
Sound wise i didnt like the opening neither the ending the melodies were very dull and the soundtrack had some tracks that sounded like some compositions of Hiroyuki Sawano but even then just felt like an mere reproduction of it and didnt gave me the same excitement or evoque the same emtions on the moments that was used.
The experience overall of all the "package" you could say was meh at least on my case maybe because i have watched a lot of anime thats why the reason i just got feed up on seeing the same formaula again with little to no difference from many other ones sure maybe to newcomers give it a try you might like but still then dont expect anything outstanding.

Ohh boy under ninja is all over the place the comedy reign all over the rest sure there is some kind of trama developing throughout the episodes but due their nature there are many inconsistent things and the fact that the series by itselft doesnt take it seriously at all is where their biggest weakness lies with some kind of plot that not only turn out to being stupid but also confunsing and really you could say with some plot holes overall.
The thing is that even then is funny for most of the time sure not always land the jokes like expected but in general
...
in the comedy aspect was enjoyable and maybe the only thng why you would watch it to begin with, the series is classified as an action series which i could argue that is not the case even with their story revolving all around ninja there is very few moments where actual fights take place instead we have an inmensurable amount of comedy which in reality is their main genere, i mean just seeing the talking-cat driving a freaking motorbike is more than enough to make my point i leave out a lot of other examples but yeah.
Animation wise wasnt good to being honest it did look kinda bad for moments and another times was fine but still nothing to go far to call it good maybe could fool you a little just because most still frames looks kinda decent.
Sound wise the op and end were dope pretty good, the ost in general forgettable but its an comedy what can we expect.
The characters are on design and persona just freaking hilarious XD i mean one more strange and rare than the other which makes for such wtf moments and situations along all the series and gonna make you laugh more than once.
I want to say that i found myselft seeing under ninja clinging from time to time between the seriousness and comedy but just failed quickly each time to convey something that you could call something "solid" story and character wise even if i got some glimpses of that sporadically.
This season ends in a manner pretty unexpected ( at least that was the case for me) and quite surreal although this series has nothing normal in it XD, if you are into comedy then this is for you i feel animelist should fix the genere on this because is more than obvious that rather than action what predominates is the comedy and might give the wrong impression to people like me who delved into this anime expecting something where the fights taked more presence.
I had i good time watching it and laughted a lot but still hope that with this review i can give an idea of what you are getting into for those interested on it.
pd: if you are searching another series of the same genere that i could say is much better than this on the comedy and you really are gonna laugh the entirety of the series is prision school just writing this review maked me remember that one which i enjoyed a lot hahaha (oh man i wish we could get a second season of it).

This season of fate/grand order (if i can say that considering that is the first format series adaptation being the previous ones ovas or movies) starts basically with the wrong foot obviating literally 5 of 6 singularities with the exception of Fate/Grand Order: Shinsei Entaku Ryouiki the sixt one, like went straight to this cutting like half of the content and even if im not aware of the game in which this is based off was a HUGE skip story wise and some might ask but was maybe an decision to go in the juicy part and i would say not really and gonna try
...
to expand a little forward.
The premise in general of this series i must say from all the series of fate that i have seen so far is the most ambitious and the scale itselft feel bigger than previous ones with that being said has so many shortcomings that overshadow the few good ones.
Starting character wise i cant say much just because there almost nothing to talk about the protagonist Ritsuka Fujimaru is just the cclasic sterotype, copy-paste character that have all isekai the same applies to Mash Kyrielight the chemistry between these two is also the same predictable formula and the fact that just with these two the complexity is more flat than my cutting board just says what yield on the treatment for the rest of the cast that leaving just a couple of them the rest are dull and boring.
Makes you lose most of your interest and how the story is followed because is imposible to carrying it in a intersting way with such poor characters (especially the protagonists who are the ones encompassing most of the screen time) which for even worst starts becoming slowly a freaking harem discreetly wihthout you realizing, with even some sexual planes on middle of some serious moment that just makes you asking what in the name of god the person in charge of this series was thinking are just mere fanservice without any goal besides subtract more points to the experience, such poor and conveninent approaching throwing so much potential good ideas and resources just to ending up on the same path like most crap series.
This is an sugar-coated series that might fool you at first with beautiful animations, some kinda simple desings (that many times i found being unnecessarily revealing just for the sake of maybe appeal to more simps), settings that are intersting, sound effects that were pretty dope not gonna lie serving well on the action, a choreography on the fightings that are almost always amaizings and on the other hand we have characters that are horrible to say the least and really just that weighs down all the rest.
The series tries to being serious sometimes but it just cant even when some interesting dialogs happen just dissapear in a sigh due to all the aformentioned.
Now with all the said you might think so this is a bad series and my answer would be maybe :? i will say this if you are into this kinda of formula with characters that are mediocre because that is what really are, some fancy and flashing fights here and there, fanservice and a predictible story (notice how i say it) the premise sounded good in paper but was bad not only executed but handle and directed then this is for you.
From all the fate series that i have watched this is the worst and i can see how many people could like it if you are not so demanding but for me i was hoping to get something decent which wasnt the case sadly.

It was entertaining sure wasnt an masterpiece or something memorable like others series but keeps you hook to know how it goes unfolding its not exempt of erros or things that feels kinda off like the way that our protagonist (and the wife also) react or are prepared for such situations on early moments of the series making it kinda surreal and little credible even going further to say that they felt a little cold on how handled everything without too much remorse for a everyday family (taking out the daughter of the equation that didnt play any rol on the events besides of being
...
the point of departure for the overall plot).
I never comment about the seiyuu who make the voices for the characters on anime because for almost all the cases if not every single one of them that i have watched (maybe being with the exception to the rule pegasus of yu-gi-oh which was really bad haha) the quality on this aspects are always to say the least good, in this instance the person who makes the voice for tosu tetsuo felt a little too young for the age of the character which for entire of the series always gave me this feeling that was kinda rare and didnt fit the protagonist.
For today standarts where each season of anime are 80% isekai or something on the same nature that for the most are an copy-paste this one really difference with an trama that is interesting and entertaining i feel to those who like suspense are gonna like it.
Animation wise was mehh falling to the mediocre side even being a series in which there are not many action scenes or crazy shots taking appearence and rather more statics ones, i feel was touching the bear minimum of what could be considerable on this aspect.
Sound wise nothing worhty to mention the ending song was good although.
RESUME
You like drama-suspense focus series? this is one is for you if you forgive those aforementioned things give it a shot i feel you will not be dissapointed it doesnt gonna be on your top best anime you have watched but also you dont gonna feel like you wasted your time after watching it.

This is an post-apocalyptic series with sci-fi elements about two characters kiruko and maru who are each one respectively on a journey searching for someone together, along the 13 episodes they go passing by differents cities and encountering with people trying to gather clues about the whereabouts of those people, inbetween that there is some action taking place though worth to mention that is not much because the nature of the series its not that as well to ending with some adventures on the way.
The story is narrated on paralel being two differents stories which to simple view might not have much correlation one with
...
the other the first one is of ours two protagonist (kiruko and maru) and the others about this strange facility of childrens. as you are progressing on the series slowly are able to tying up dots figuring out what is the relation about these two stories, the time in which is taking place each one, what happened to the earth and much more.
The main characters are nice i mean nothing amaizing, bad neither, you end up liking them have very define personas that outside of being something revolutionary or memorable go well along with the unfolding plot and are enjoyble to say the least, most of the rest just take appearance from some episodes leaving some exceptions to the rules and dont appear more after some adventure that take part of.
Its executed very well to being honest gives you an sense of gratification once you reached the last episodes because the series drops just the enought amount of information about these two stories and you are figuring out what is all about, is not very difficult to undertand the plot but at the same time doesnt serve you in silver plate everything making you think and giving you some kind of accomplishment once finish this firtst season as well to not only doing justice to the mistery itselft but also adding many positives points to the overall experience.
So far all sounds good which is for the most true although i want to say that there is this strange very very mild fanservice between the protagonists that became even more strange and annyoing after the revelation of one of them, nothing really serious but still not for the less innecesary because you dont need those scenes trying to insunuate nothing sexual or pervy on situations that dont need them, takes out many seriousness on the moment, the characters itselfts and the plot.
The series i want to let very clearly doesnt need this kind of cheap moves-tricks to appeal or convince me or the people to watch it (at least i dont think so) and much more less to liking it (actually i would appreciate that wasnt any fanservice to begin with), it does so many things good that really just end up subtracting points in general ( i wonder what the person in charge was thinking when employed those things on the production of the series) though im glad to say that due to the fact that was pretty rare and little the amount of presence of it on that aspect really didnt hinder it too much all the general enjoyment that i had watching it.
Animation was good, the backgrounds really shinned on this one which make the settings more believable, interestings and all the premise make me hooked even more, sound i feel was good also the opening and ending were nice about the ost nothing really outnading or worthy to mention about.
The series ends up with a cliffhanger implying an future secuel, even with many questions and interrogants answered still lie much more to discover and understand given how ended the last episode, everything was directed very precisily and well handle on the amout of information revealed and the structure that followed each epidoes making to fit the pieces of the puzzle in the last episodes which really surpraised me.
Assuming your thing is the mystery (which is an element that predominates over the rest) i reccomend it without doubt , really was debating betweeen a 7 or 8 due to those cheap fanservice that dont fullfill any rol although seeing the big picture i feel wasnt that big of a deal for the aforementioned.

This movie is good has simple like that, people for the most when i comes on shonen anime movies dont care and give enought credit to them for reasons like they are not canon completly or desviate for the most part of the main story series (coming with that there is nothing wrong with an independent movie that takes his liberties even when is not fully truthful to the original material when its done well) which wasnt the case on this instance with just the first couple of minutes giving us more than enough information to know where in time ubicates the events that take
...
place on this movie which is highly appreciate it at least speaking by myselft.
The apperance of previous Wizard Kings is really good more taking in account that on the main series besides some mentions here and there wasnt (so far until now) touched too much (if wasnt null) about those who were before and their stories which is somewhat undertandable being all the series about our protagonist asta and the people who come across along the way.
Sure you will see that there is not much delv into their backgrounds (the wizard kings) besides our main antagonist conrad leto that even on his case although had an good amount of development still i would incline to say that they could go even a little farther into his overall character, along with him only Princia Funnybunny and Edward Aberache had a couple of scenes on differents degress implying somewhat their past in a very scarse manner leaving to Jester Galandros the one who did not had a single mention or scene about his background between the 4 of them, arousing smoe questions about not only him but in general the four of them and their own motives and stories.
The fights are good accompained with an good animation i really cant complain about this in general terms was enjoyble had his emotives and excitings moments that were very good.
Sound wise there is nothing coming to my mind that was amaizing though might be some of them presents when the action took presence so on this dont take my word for grant it about this, i feel there is might be some worthy piece on the movie that i could be missing out.
Conrad leto i feel was the star on the movie (to me) because was an good character that you wouldnt define like an villan in the common way its interesting and is not the cclasic bad guy because yes making the experience more enjoyable ,the others ones like i said i feel due maybe to the nature of being in a format of movie didnt have enought time to get more about them.
Most of the cast that we have seen on the series takes appearence on more or less degree and the most important ones at least had their own fightings moments, one thing worthy to mention is knowing that asta and friends battle againts not one but four wizard kings the difference between the levels of powers might be thrown out the window making them pretty weak or for some kind art of magic they would be beaten easily which wasnt the case to my surprise they were realistically (under the logic of what we have seen so far on the series and the current levels on our characters) defeated on situations that were credible for all of them ( sure Mereoleona againts Princia Funnybunny might be a little debatable how ended on the last scene of their fight).
RESUME
I enjoyed the movie, it did good most of things and little to complain about really under the scope of what was trying to encompass story and character wise i feel the job was done well sure maybe if was adaptapted like an arc on the series right after episode 170 would fit perfectly and would have more time under to get more about the rest of the wizard kings or even on conrad himselft more but still then i go with a good taste in the mouth after watchign this movie.
To those who havent watched it yet and are waiting for the second season of black clover this at least might satiate a little bit at least your await and also its an good addition to the lore of the series.
