I received this anime from an acquaintance and only decided to watch it because when going through stuff to watch and unable to decided, I decided to go alphabetically.
So Aishiteruze Baby is about a teenage womanizer who is forced to take care of his kindergarten age cousin and thus learns to not be a womanizer, I guess. Well, the story is generic like that anyway, there's really nothing that comes and takes you by surprise here.

RPG), which is weird, I think. I didn't like it. (I feel asleep while listening to it and an a SNES RPG dream so there, lol)
Characters don't develop in any interesting way, like I said before, there are no surprises in this anime. None.
If you like Shoujo and romance anime, then chances are you'll like this despite it's predictability. It does nothing wrong, but it does nothing amazing either. The sound isn't noticeable (at least to me) while watching the series. But still, even if you do like shoujo or romance, I would still save this series for a rainy day when there isn't anything better to do.

I watch anime to see fascinating people do fascinating things. Normal, everyday stories don't entertain me as much. With that bias, I didn't expect to enjoy Bakuman as much as I have. I loved it, absolutely loved it.
Bakuman offers a perspective on manga, that as anime viewers or readers of the west, we rarely get a glimpse of, but that is not the selling point of Bakuman. What's truly at the heart of this story is the two main characters, young, charismatic and extremely hard-working individuals that want to accomplish their goal of becoming the best manga artists in Japan.

like the two main characters, it doesn't waste time diddle-dawdling on the unimportant stuff. The introduction of new characters and development of the old ones are timed perfectly so there's never an interruption to it's pacing.
Of course, this is a character driven story, as if the characters had no motivation of their own to work then the story wouldn't go anywhere. So characters are extremely important and good news my friends, they are all likeable. The complete lack of archetypes in this series is extremely refreshing and all characters offer different perspectives on the manga business and what it means to never give up on the dream. They all have goals, they all have hurdles to over come, and they are all the type of people that would like to take to the cafe and have a glass of ouzo with. Maybe it's the anime I watch, but I'd like to see this type of character development more often.
The art and sound are both good, I don't really have much to say about that. The opening track isn't my kind of music, and I normally watch OPs but this time I just skipped ahead, same with the ED. The background tracks had nothing that stood out to me, but nothing seemed out of place or bad. Voice acting I can't really comment on since I haven't developed an ear yet for the nuances of the Japanese language. However, there was a lack of whiny high pitched female voices so that's a plus in my books.
My only concern for Bakuman is that it might go the same way as Death Note. The same author-artist team are responsible for both and I found the second half of Death Note extremely disappointing. At the time of me writing this, the second season is airing and the third season is on it's way, so hopefully it will stay as good as it is (no comment on the manga, I haven't read it).

Air, like Clannad is based off a visual novel by Key but unlike Clannad it falls flat on the viewer.
There's nothing wrong with the art, sound and story of Air. The story is an interesting concept and at first I was excited to watch this series. I hoped it would be like Clannad, and also, my boyfriend was telling me to watch this series and he normally has good tastes. It started to feel like a chore after only a few episodes.
My problem with Air is that it needed to be longer. If it was longer, I believe that would have fixed the major problems

that I have with this series. The story centres around the main character helping three young girls with their troubles. Since this also created by those that made Clannad, expect drama and tragedy to be apart of these girls' lives.
Normally, I don't have a problem with tragedy as long as the character development is okay, as opposed to being melodramatic or manipulative into making you think you care about the character... Well, Air seems kind of like a mixture of the latter two things I said. Not enough time is given to develop the characters before their drama is introduced and absolutely no time at all is given afterwards to see how they changed after receiving help from the main character, with the exception of the main character, Misuzu. If the whole series focused on Misuzu from the start without needing to include the other side characters' stories, I think it would have been better. The sudden turn of events that affects Misuzu near the end seem rather sudden...
Also, the series has a few episodes devoted to back-story inserted right into the middle of it. It was a change of pace... but a slow, boring one. I think it would have been more bearable to watch if the back-story was chopped up into little snippets sprinkled throughout the first half of the season, but alas, it was not. Instead we are forced to watch some random characters that appear out of nowhere for a few episodes before returning to the true story of Misuzu.
Misuzu was truly the only thing I cared about in his anime. As a character she is interesting, and the most well developed, and pretty unique despite being a "cute, clumsy and childish" girl.
So, in the end I give it a 6/10. If you are a fan of Clannad you'll probably like this, despite it's failings.

I think this anime was just poorly executed.
The overall story is actually good and interesting, at the beginning and again at the end, it was just buried under piles of nonsense and extremely forgettable characters. The story follows Hakuoro, who after being found and rescued by a small village he becomes the leader of a rebellion, emperor of a country and then spends his time fight wars with every other country around.
A major plot twist happens near the end that was so unexpected and weird that my initial reaction was "I am just going to pretend that didn't happen..."and even when it gets explained

in the end and you no longer have to pretend it didn't happen, I was still thinking, "it could have been better."
Because there were so many "mini-wars" they all ultimately blended together because they weren't very memorable. Characters were introduced and I had high hopes for what their future actions would be and how they would affect the plot but then the plot would change because of a different war in a different country and then those expectations just crumble into dust. There are some parts of this series that are completely boring as sin.
The character designs are pretty enough, but this series, which is based on war, didn't have any memorable fight scenes of bad-assery. Seriously, even with the flat characters this would be more entertaining to watch if the characters at least could kick some ass in awesome fights. But the fights were boring and predictable. On the other hand, the characters being completely flat doesn't help. It's hard to get excited about a fight if you simply don't care whether or not a character dies.
I always believed that good, well developed characters can carry a plot no matter how contrived it is, but in this case the characters are so bad, you're just sitting there thinking "Who cares?"
Honestly, I really liked the opening song for this anime, so it was my favourite part of watching.

Well, I just finished Nyan Koi! and well I thought it was really cute at the beginning, near the end I was just watching it non-stop to move onto something else. (I like to finish what I start, okay?)
Other than talking cats, there's really nothing new here. It's just a generic anime about a guy who for some ungodly reason has a plethora of cute girls are who are into him. Like a lot of harem anime, there are moments of big-breasted-ness, panty shots, accidental groping and purposeful groping (girls groping girls) but most of the comedy in this series is supposed to be from
...
the interference of Junpei's life from the cats, which he is severely allergic too. A lot of the anime is focused on Junpei juggling his need to lift his curse by helping cats and doing everyday things while the girls (Mostly Sumiyoshi and Nagi-sempai) make his life even more difficult.
The characters... ugh. Sumiyoshi and Mizuno were both unbearable to watch. And they were the two main love interests. Sumiyoshi is the tsundere childhood friend and Mizuno is well... the girl that's good at everything, exceptionally beautiful, feminine and loved by all... blech.
The ending... what ending? This series just should have ended but they left it open with no confessions of love from any character so they can have a second season. This show doesn't need a second season. Everything that's been done in it has been done before, I doubt a second season would make this any fresher than talking cats.

I can understand why this series is so popular.
I actually really enjoyed watching this because it was whimsical and had it's dark moments as well. However, the reason why I rated it as an overall six is because the story fell apart last minute and just didn't make much sense.
So - Story 5/10.
The story had so. much. bloody. potential. I wanted to rate it higher, but like I said, it sort of fell apart at the end. What was happening just wasn't making sense and this series would have benefited from a little more attention to filling in plot holes. Or at least,
...
exploring the characters a bit deeper. It would have been nice to see some more on the Death Gods society and the pasts of Ciel's servants than what was presented. Even if they didn't explain the whole motives of the antagonist, I would have rated higher if there was more on the Death Gods and servants.
Art 8/10
The beautiful artwork is what made me want to watch this series in the first place. It's extremely colourful without losing losing the dark tone of the series.
Sound 8/10
Normally, I don't really pay attention to background music, but it was hard not to in this series. It was pretty, and no repetitive as it sometimes is in other animes.
Character 6/10
I really loved Ciel Phantomhive's character. On the other hand, there were characters that I couldn't stand. Grell Sutcliffe being one of them. He was entirely one dimensional. The servants characters were okay, like I said earlier, I wish a little more time was spent on them so you understand them better. The provided comedic relief, but at the end I found it hard to care about whether they survived or not. Also, it was hard to understand the motives of the antagonists, and thats... not... good... But as for Sebastian, the titular character, he is perfect. In this context though, it works. Normally I hate perfect characters but Sebastian is only fulfilling his duty as a butler and it's just expected of him to perform well in everything he does since that's what Ciel sold his soul for him to do. If I was Ciel and Sebastian wasn't perfect, well, I'd feel a bit cheated.
Enjoyment 7/10
Despite it's flaws, it was fun to watch the zaniness of the characters and the different mystery settings. My face lit up with joy every time Undertaker came on scene. He was the highlight of the show for me, with Sebastian being bad-ass a close second.
Overall 6/10
I would like to give this a higher rating. After watching it, I felt like I enjoyed it more than that. But... I guess I'll just have to read the manga since the stories are different and hopefully the manga will have a much more satisfying ending than the anime.
