I've only ever seen an anime fall off this hard one other time in my life, and it was guilty crown. The story follows two brothers who have committed the crime of being children with magic who want their mom back.
Alchemy is explained surprisingly little for being the central power system. The laws around it are explained in detail the process itself is explained as "tectonic plates or something" until the last few epsiodes, which are honestly not great. Overall if it interests you the show treats alchemy like a cooking blog where they tell you the cooks life story, where each ingredient comes from,

This anime is a love letter to every horny anime/manga enthusiast who was bullied by girls in highschool. In reality she really just wasn't into you though.
The characters are great and everyone feels believable, which for a romance anime is on the far edge of the bell curve. The art itself though. The artist draws hentai and you can tell. Semmmmmmmmmpai is designed as the typical hentai protagonist with the only thing separating them being about an inch of hair over the eyes. Nagatoro has both a flesh fang and a real fang. The table scene alone has impacted an entire generation in the way that Kennedy's assassination had.
One of the weirdest mecha anime in existence, because by all rights, and in at least one of the mangas, it really does not need the mechas, they almost barely factor into the plot. They look cool af though and they glued them onto an interesting world with criminally underrated terrorist waifus The power system in the anime is more interesting than the mechas. Each member of royalty able use mind control, or some slightly different power gives the show a more strategic feeling. Kind of similar to how deathnote feels.The ...

Its ok, but its a survival game power fantasy which had committed the cardinal sin of releasing the same year as Sword Art Online so it got overlooked. It pulls a deadman wonderland and leaves off in a place where you really want to continue but the chances of this getting a second season are as good as a pleasant smelling anime convention.
It has quite a full inclusion of genre tropes: amnesia, childhood friend (who wasn't good at the actual game but is supposed to be on the team with the best player in the world?), attempted sexual assault, op mc, and a few ...

Technically the best necromancy anime on the market
This is Pokemon if you got it off wish or if you got 3 wishes from an evil genie and said "I want Pokemon but with a character that will make me a furry". The premise takes every good trope from 1990's anime and really combines it to make something that will make you nostalgic for better Saturday morning cartoons or anime. It has a little card captor a dash of Pokemon, the characters from beyblade/metabots and a little mecha but overall does not stand on its own and will make you wish you were watching those. |
