Aiura
add

Aiura and K-ON! Are comedy and slice of life anime, that take place in a school setting. Aiura’s comedy, characters and their cute personalities all harken to K-ON!’s "cute girls doing cute things" style of comedy. Both series also offer superb, very fluid and really similar animation. The only downside to Aiura is that it’s a bit short and it doesn’t have much plot development in it, compared to K-On! But it’s safe to say that if you liked watching either of them you shouldn't hesitate to try out the other.

Afro Samurai and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust are action anime that don't really lay an unnecessarily large focus on their stories and characterization, but decide to please the audience with beautiful and occasionally stunning animation as well as visually innovative battle sequences. Sword-wielding and silent-but-deadly protagonists that enter some stupendous fights are also a shared phenomena in both series. If you liked watching one of the shows I highly recommend trying out the other one as well.

Afro Samurai and Gungrave are action-packed anime that feature strong main characters that are carving their bloody paths to nothing but vengeance and retribution. They are rather quiet and do not tend to think too much because their goals remain the same throughout the whole series, while fighting with horrific malformed monstrosities around them. Both series have really great endings and somewhat similar animation that leave you screaming for nothing but more. If you liked watching one of them you shouldn't hesitate to try out the other.

Sword Art Online
add

.hack//Sign and Sword Art Online are good adventure anime based on a very similar concept - people that are stuck in a fantasy style MMORPG. They feature great animation, excellent set design and fantasy creatures. Both shows follow several different characters in their stories with the difference that SAO moves a little faster in character development and is more action-orientated, while .hack//SIGN is a bit slow-paced and covers more of the mysterious online world where the main protagonist is trapped. I myself liked SAO way more than Hack but if you enjoyed watching either of them you shouldn't hesitate to try out the other.

Afro Samurai and Hellsing Ultimate are both bloody action anime that despite their differences in genre, will surely appeal to a similar audience and can be appreciated equally for their detailed design. Both plots play with the idea of innocence lost, and the main protagonists give the impression of being a powerful, yet unknown quantity - silent monoliths of potential devastation in worlds that in both cases often seem teeming with hostile forces. Both series offer superb animation where blood and gore will liter the screen while sword swings, gun blasts, and heavy ordinance are exchanged. If you liked watching one of them you shouldn't hesitate to try out the other.

Shiki and Another are mystery and horror anime that share the same type of overall dread for the viewer. They take place in a quiet and sleepy town that soon gives way to the chaos and paranoia flowing within everyone's psyche. Both Acchi Kocchi and A-Channel give off the same feel of ordinary everyday high school life and lack of serious plot. They are both heavy on "moe" and have a laid-back approach to humor that doesn't actually lead to gut-busting laughs. The characters are also kinda similar but unlike A-Channel, Acchi Kocchi actually has guys in it and that makes things even more interesting. If you liked watching one of them you wont regret trying out the other.

Both series feature small arcs that deal with the male lead and the female lead for that specific arc and the romance that develops between the two. There's some good comedy, a little bit ecchi and both feature some rather well developed love stories that will leave the viewer happy after each arc. The difference is that Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai ties all the smaller arcs together into one larger overall plot and in Amagami SS the story, for the most part, resets after each arc. If you liked watching one of them you wont regret trying out the other.
