Handa-kun (Anime) add

GENERAL - In Handa-kun we dive into Handa's high school life. While we do nto receive anymore of Naru and the rest of the islanders form Barakamon, Handa-kun is sitll enjoyable to watch as an act of beign a prequel.

So the majority of the comedy comes from Handa endlessly thinking that his clas hates him. With Handa be a well known calligrapher he often gets stares and this leads to him thinking taht they hate him. (Along with other many situations).

While its comedy is nto as great as Barakamon it is still a fun series to watch I was surprised by it ...

No Game No Life Specials (Anime) add

Not Recommended

When it comes to OVA's and specials its hard to tell what they wlil be like.
Some act as ways to add in a bit more story. Some act as mini brief random situations. Some... falll under the category of pointlessness focusing on the parts of the show no one likes. No Game No Life Specials fall under this category.

It is sad to see something that could've been fun to this. They could've made these specials to act as a way to see more games played out. It didn't have to be part of the story they could've just done random games. This way ...

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun Specials (Anime) add

When going into Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun Specials at first I didn't know exactly what to expect. When I started to watch them I was saddened to find out they are only 3 minutes long.

So the specials aren't bad themselves they still have the great comedy from the series. The episodes are in essence shorter versions of the comedic scenes in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun.

While there isn't much here it is something to watch if you want to get more of the Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun comedy.

Due to it being 3 minutes each roughly you will only get around 20 minutes of ...

Sword Art Online II (Anime) add

GENERAL - Okay so I won't cover season 2 as in depth. Much like the season 1 we see 2 major story arcs. With SAO II i'd say that its first arc is somewhat in between the 1st and 2nd arc of SAO. We see Kirito enter a new game that has a new form of death that are going on. When someone gets shot by our villain of the arc they will die in real life as well. Kirito enters the game in hopes to solve this mystery and to figure out how he is doing it and tries to put a stop ... to it.

Next up is this sort of filler arc which serves next to no purpose its just them going on a random quest.

So SAO II is different in 1 HUGE way. The 2nd main arc. In many ways this is what SAO should be. We follow Asuna and we leave Kirito to a supporting roll.
(Again this is something that's a normal thing in SAO Progressive).

In many was i feel inclined to say this doesn't even feel like SAO. You could watch only this arc and very likely find it to be great. As a stand alone story this arc would rank fairly high for me. It has so many great aspects to it that I like to see out of an anime. Character development, emotional moments it does a great job and would be great to see more arcs like this its a refreshment to the series.

CHARACTERS - Okay so for characters... there isn't much to say beyond season 1.

Kirito doesn't grow as a character at all and still sticks to the kind of character that wins all battles.

Asuna however in the 2nd arc gets MAJOR character development and makes her a much more interesting character as we learn more about her.

SOUND - Is just as great as ever. Has some very emotional soundtracks that fit perfectly in some of the emotional moments of the show. Also something I can't mention often is the sound effects. SaO takes time and care with its sound to make it seem more like real life. In games you may get 1 soundffect per attack or movement etc. In this we get sounds with such as slightly moving your weapon and more lastign clanging sounds to make it feel more real. it has great attention to detail in this sense.

ART / ANIMATION - The animation only gets better in season 2. It has a very appealing art style and in fights it stands out so much more then most series. There is so much movement in them where they could've done more siimple l still battles.

OVERALL - SAO II does its job of both following season 1's format and also adding something completely new for the series. If not anything else the 2nd arc is EASILY worth a watch and I would highly suggest it.

Boku no Hero Academia (Anime) add

GENERAL - Boku no Hero Academia takes a new route on the shounen series. Each shounen series tends to have its own sort of "main type of power" (Wizards, Pirates, Ninjas, Hunters etc.). In this series it takes n super hero's.
These hero's have quirks which act as there super powers. These powers can range form simple things to help with an every day task, to the more powerful ones that let them become hero's. These quirks are first seen at a yong age so if there is no quirk then it is likely they flal in to the small percent that will ... not have a quirk. This is where we follow our main lead Midoriya, he falls into this small category and has always dreamed that he will one day becoem a hero. With him having no quirk we see him struggle still holdign on to the hope he can be a hero without any quirk. Suddenly he has a quirk and is set to apply for a hero academy. This is where Boku no Hero Academia all begins.

Now this season of the series acts as teaser of sorts. With its 13 episodes count we don't get much timme to see our characters grow and not too much world building. As this is a problem with the episode amount and not the series itself I can't take anything away from it.

So we see the students grow and learn how to use there powers to there full effect. These can range from small tasks to team based games to show the different situations they might run into as a hero.

CHARACTERS - So as stated we don't really get much time to developing our characters in the first season here. But our stand out characters are Midoriya, Bakugou, All Might and Uraraka.

Midoriya is our main male lead and acts as the series protagonist. He is a character that you could relate to. he has a nice personality and it is fun to see him grow as a character.

Bakugou acts as our rival of sorts. he seems to not want Midoriya to get into the shcool to start with and is angry when he finds out he did get in. We get a fair bit of development for him and will be interesting to see where his character goes form this point forward.

All Might in the person Midoriya looks up to. He is widely known to be one of the best or THE best hero. His character in a lot of ways is kind of what you would expect from a famous super hero. Also most notable is the character design with the dark shading and edges to him to give a feel of what you might see in a comic book.

Uraraka acts as our main female character. We don't get to see tooo much of her in this first season but has potential to grow as a great character.

SOUND - So the sound is pretty great. It is nice and fits the super hero theme fairly well.

ART / ANIMATION - So the animation is reallly nice with only 13 episodes they can put a greater focus on the animation. With a long running shounen series the animation uslally isn't up to par at all times since its being made every week. This is one of the benefits of the short episode count.

OVERALL -So over all the show is fun to watch. It just would've been better to get more episodes to get a better idea of the characters and this universe. That being said a Season 2 is coming up so it iwll be interesting to see where it goes from here. The show does a nice job of kicking off the series and is nice to see this new take on the shounen genre.

GENERAL - Another follows our lead Kouichi who is a new transfer student to his school The story of Another centers around the fact that it seems the class he is in has a curse on it. More and more strange events start to occur. We follow the class and slowly see the mystery of these events unravel.

CHARACTERS - So the characters in Another aren't the most memorable. They work as characters in the story but over all do not leave a long lasting impression. This is the shows biggest negative to me.

Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (Anime) add

GENERAL - Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu also known as Parasyte -the maxim- follows Shinichi. At first seeming normal but then he changes once our other lead Migi takes him over. Migi is a Parasyte. These parasytes are taking over human bodies to blend in with the world and to be stronger as they themselves are not very storng unless they possess a humans body. By mistake Migi didn't take over his body correctly and thus merged together so they both can communicate with each other and this is where the storry of Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu kicks off.

With this parastye human cross ... they are forced into odd situations as they both of different goals. They are forced to work together since Migi failed to take over his body. The sotyr largely has a focus on trying to stop parasyte from killing them.

With Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu story it is paced in a very good way. Each episode feels like its getting more and more interesting. There are hardly times when the show slows down it just keeps up its speed and continues on and on.

CHARACTERS - The cast of Parastye -the maxim- is a interesting one. The way they handle the characters is also very well done. With this series it is nto very light there will be death so it brings more weight not knowing who will end up dying. If you get to attached to a character then you may regret ti because they might die. ANd the series does a great job of making you be interested and feel for these characters we meet.

So the duo of Migi and Shinichi is a interesting one. As sated they do not exactly have the same ideals but they grow a connection as they are forced into this situation.

SOUND - The soudn of Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu is amazing. It has so many soundtracks that are memorable. My favorite "Next to You" is one of the best soundtracks I have heard in an anime series

ART / ANIMATION - So Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu was done by MADHOUSE. So as such of course the animation will be amazing. It has great animation in the action scenes and its art style is fairly nice. The darker color choices are a perfect fit for the series and what it is trying to convey.

OVERALL - At first when i started this series I didn't think much of it. I watched 1 episode and then didn't continue it. Then i decided one day to go ahead and watch it all. And now I can say I don't regret it. It never gets dull and has a very interesting story. While some series might have some similar concepts to this Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu does a great job of doing its story within its episode count. It doesn't drag on by adding extra episodes of any sort no filler just a full complete story. I HIGHLY suggest watching this anime.

Barakamon (Anime) add

Recommended

GENERAL - Barakamon follows Handa a calligrapher who is sent of to an island to become there calligrapher teacher as well as to get away from the city. Handa does nto like that he is being sent to this island but we see him grow as he meets all the different characters on the island.

The episodes are very fun to watch and relax with there is nothing deep in this series sicne its a comedy series but its the fun in seeing the islanders interactions and Handa living there that makes it so enjoyable.
