"Masterpiece" is what I would describe anything else compared to Isuca. I felt like the time I wasted watching this show was better off watching paint dry or some other nonsense I could come up with. This is something you need to stay away from. The writing will make you cringe because of how cheesy it is, the animation is horrid, and characters are just disgraceful and pathetic.
Story (2/10): The plot is nonsensical and downright redundant. It had the grounds to be a somewhat decent plot, yet all their creativity was used to instead put the main character in ridiculous and perverted situations. The

story itself was easy to follow, it wasn't a jumbled mess, but rather the plot was executed so poorly that you just seem to lose all interest.
Art/Sound (3/10): The Animation was pathetic, just by the opening of how Asano pulls out his sword, you instantly know that the animation would be jagged. If I were to give this show any props it would be the animation. That just means that's how high the standard would ever be, in the lowly disappointing range. The sound was equally as bad. The OST was dead to me, none of it even clicked while I was watching this show. That could also just be that my brain was working so hard to understand why I was wasting my time on something as horrendous as this.
Character (3/10): Instead of giving you an in depth analysis of each characters, just take all the generic harems you've ever watched, and remember how those specific characters were. Chances are they are infinitely better than any character this show has to offer. There is one character though that stuck to me like a leach, and that was Tamako. I could write an entire essay and you still would not be able to fully grasp my frustration about this character. I love cat girls as much as the next guy, but this is someone that will annoy you to no end.
Enjoyment (0/10) - Usually, to escape the harsh realities of doing work or anything productive for that matter, I go and watch anime. This show made me want to write a 10 page thesis on how grass grows. The only reason I did not drop this show is due to the fact that I'm a completionist and it would bother me that I wasn't able to finish it. In the end it was sheer willpower that kept me going. If you do want to suffer and watch this show, I recommend that you lower your expectations and your brain capacity to the point where anything can be considered interesting. That is the only way to finish this disaster.
Overall (2/10): As I stated before, you will find it more intriguing to watch paint dry. Go outside or take a bath, just stay away from this show. It might be good if you're into the Ecchi genre, but why bother? I'm willing to bet that a Hentai out there has a better plot, character, animation, etc.

Rising X Rydeen is on the surface, your stereotypical Main character want's to be the best, he's given lame, but somehow powerful(in a way) powers, creates a harem. Probably the main difference about this and other super power genre is that the main character really has a ridiculously stupid power. There are also shortcomings in this manga, when you finish, you'll feel somehow unfulfilled. You'll have more questions than answers which would be fine if the author didn't decide to leave it basically in a cliffhanger situation. Other than that, most of it is somewhat enjoyable.
Story: 6 - It's your common main

character wants to be recognized as the number one hero, but gets the lamest power you can possibly imagine. Surprisingly he has amazing and powerful connections in the form of pretty girls which make up the firepower in their team. The story did go a really generic route, but what really earned it my disapproval is that the story decided to halt it's progression when things had started to get interesting. It had the potential to get better, and have an interesting story while albeit it being generic, it however died down and left in a cliffhanger state.
Art: 8 - I don't have enough experience with Manga art so this may come as a little biased, but it was well drawn in my opinion. It's highly detailed and isn't a sore to look at.
Character: 7 - Here's where it made the manga interesting and enjoyable to read. The main character Takara is hilarious, coupled that with his power to shoot out gel, it makes for one of the funniest and enjoyable scenes I've read in manga. To be blunt, yes he's that dense, stupid MC that is cool only when someone threatens his harem, but it doesn't affect the story in a negative way. His harem doesn't really differentiate themselves from typical anime/manga tropes. They all eventually fall for him, but since the MC so dense, he seems to not realize anything. That may all seem negative, but his harem isn't all that bad. I especially like Mikan because she's the only one who had previous connections to the MC, but alas nothing happens... Curse you nonsensical "Romance" genre!!!
Enjoyment: 8- Even though it looks like I've been bashing this manga a lot, I still enjoyed it. It wasn't to the point where I was super excited to go to the next chapter, but it was a fun read. It would have been a whole lot better if some progress was actually made, and the "Romance" tag actually meant something, but nonetheless I didn't feel like my time was wasted reading this.
Overall: 7- There you have it. Manga is unfulfilling, short, generic, but it was also quite enjoyable and funny most of the time. It's a good read for when you just want to waste your time, but not be overly bored or attached to the one you're reading.

Wouldn't it be cool just to get superpowers one day? Think of the endless fun you'll be having when you can spew out black flames out of your hands or freeze time. While Inou-Battle certainly gave us ideas to how we could potentially use powers, I'm almost certain half of earths population would die in a matter of days thinking all of us could become Goku. slice of life, if you disregard the powers, show with some interesting points.
Story(7/10): When the English translation of Inou-Battle was "When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace," I immediately became readied for a lot of fighting scenes. The show delivered about two to three which lasted about five minutes... After watching more episodes I dropped the idea of constant fighting and completely did a reset on my mindset of the show. The story is laid back and isn't really focusing about them having superpowers. It's more like I said, a slice of life where their everyday things as teenagers affect them like friendship and romance. The story doesn't pick up the pace about them having powers until near the end where the purpose of their powers are revealed. I'm going to give the story a bit of leniency because it has the potential to grow. The first season is almost like the introduction, where not much is happening, but a great deal is being made to explain what's going to happen.
Characters(6/10): The characters were an interesting bunch, even though at the start of the first episode you automatically knew all of them would fall for the Main Character. That's also where the show shows off the little drama it possesses. When a number of female leads fall for the main character, it usually doesn't start off well. There's going to be some that deny it, and some would explicitly state that they love him. While that could potentially lead to jealousy and broken friendships, they handle it out maturely. Now on to the Main Character, Andou. He's typically not what you'd expect from a high school student that still has chuunibyou. He's cunning, tactical, and mature when it counts. He calmly assessed their situation when they first got their powers, and ultimately kept everyone from losing their heads. While in a chuuni standpoint, he'd want to use his powers as much as possible, but he doesn't let fiction and reality affect him. He knows that there are boundaries which they should never tread on and that's the biggest surprise for me in this show. Characters like Tomoyo, Hatoko, Chifuyu, and Sayumi are just there to be in Andou's harem. They aren't given a really important role to the story other than they have powers. You could call them useful because they're the reason why Andou is level headed about their situation and they're the reason how Andou is as a character, but that's about it. Other characters such as their potential enemies in the future aren't really given much screen time, so saying something about them while blind isn't really much help.
Art/Sound(8/10): The art is really charming, it wouldn't work if the anime was going to be a fight fest between characters. It works as it is because how laid back the show really is. The colors are vibrant and cheer, which makes sense due to the shows true nature. Truthfully, I don't remember the sound much at all. It either blended in too well with the voice acting, or nothing really made an impression. However, even when I didn't notice it, the show wasn't handicapped by it. The overall steady pace the show was going didn't really need an amazing OST to leave an impression.
Enjoyment(7/10): While at first I had a different mindset when coming in to watch Inou-Battle, I ultimately learned I had to be flexible with the show and use the term "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I mostly enjoyed how Andou solves everything and acts as a balance for the rest of the main cast. It also could be funny at times seeing as how Andou can still use his chunni ways to solve problems, but they're well thought out for something that is suppose to be fictional.
Overall(7/10): The title could mislead a lot of people who want to try this show. They could be coming in with a totally different mindset and end up getting disappointed. My advice is to be flexible with the show. Unless you're really craving something that requires heavy fighting with lots of battles, then don't even touch this. If not, then I suggest you give this show a chance. It's a good way to bend a slice of life to where it's not so serious, but it still gives off that feeling when handling everyday life.

Another flagship of the Anime Industry has ended again today. While some people would be delighted by Sao II ending, most are left wanting more and eagerly anticipating the next Sword Art Online. While the series itself is not perfect, I wouldn't say it's garbage as some would say it. I am going to cover the three arcs as separate rather than as a whole so it would highlight their strengths and weaknesses better, then combine it to an overall score.
Story, Phantom Bullet(8/10): The first arc is the meat of SAO II. It has the most episodes spanning 14 of the overall 24. Here,

Kirito ends up in a VR called Gun Gale Online where he is tasked to investigate the deaths of VR players in the real world by them supposedly dying in the Virtual world. The story was crafted excellently, while it did have a slow start at first, the ending was satisfying. There are however inconsistencies to how the story picks up the pace. For instance, the story already jumped to Bullet of Bullets in the very first few episodes, then it jumps to Kirito defeating other players easily, then a duel with Sinon, then after defeating Death Gun. It feels rushed even though the story presented itself well. It doesn't give itself enough time to catch up with itself, it sends Kirito to battle and ends with KIrito beating his enemies. The story though is packed with the Impossibilities like the first SAO. This Time, characters are haunted by their past , and it's up to Kirito to guide them out of it. While that may seem irrelevant to the story, it adds a little emotional impact to the overall arc.
Story, Calibur(7/10): The second arc of SAO II. Here we find Kirito and his Harem + Klein back in Alfheim. They all do a quest to retrieve Excalibur from an Ice Kingdom and ultimately save Alfheim altogether. While it was a good watch, I felt the story was the weakest out of all the arcs. It didn't offer anything new, and it didn't bring out anything we haven't necessarily seen before in the SAO franchise. It's basically an arc dedicated for Kirito to get an upgrade. It is still refreshing to see the old team back together including Sinon to clear out dungeons and let them show off their skills after seeing Kirito slaughtering every bit of competition he has out there.
Story, Mother's Rosario(9/10): The third arc, this is where I don't want to go into detail about because it's an arc where you should see for yourself. I personally think this is the best arc out of SAO II. It doesn't focus on action as much as the previous arcs, it focuses a lot on characters and their hardships in the real world. While some may get turned off by that, it really is a good arc to see further character development in some characters.
Story, Overall (8/10): From the first to the last arcs, the story was great. While a side arc did manage to outshine the main arc for me, it still was a great story to marvel at.
Characters(9/10): SAO II brings to you a new cast with very enjoyable characters. Kirito, Asuna, and the old gang are still there. With the exception of Kirito, and Asuna on the third arc. Most of them were hardly touched. Kirito still drives the main story further with help from new characters. The first up is Sinon. Sinon later became my favorite heroine at the the end of the the first arc. Maybe i just have a thing for girls with a heavy anti-material rifle for a weapon. You get to see into her past and her reason to play a game like Gun Gale. She seeks strength and finds that within Kirito. The next up is Yuuki and the gang on the third arc. This is where the emotional aspect of the show is centered. Konno Yuuki is labeled as Zekken, or Absolute Sword. She is they say the strongest player in Alfheim. While she's strong in the Virtual world in the real world she faces countless problems. It's the same with the rest of the Sleeping Knights. They face numerous problems in real life, and they dive into the Virtual world to escape those problems. You see the relationship grow between Asuna and the Sleeping Knights as the story progresses. You see what the characters have to face in the real world, and their methods to escape that harsh reality.
Art(9/10): Just like in the original SAO, SAO II brings with it fantastic looking worlds and characters. Gun Gale is just amazing to look at. it's a deserted area with tons of destroyed building and broken down vehicles. Also sand, sand everywhere. It's the perfect setting for a game like Gun Gale where bullets are flying everywhere and the world looks like its going crumbling down. Alfheim is also present with beautifully crafted atmosphere. In the Calibur arc, you see what lies underneath the world tree, it was once a prosperous land, but now it's covered in ice and snow. The new bosses and characters are also made fairly well. The back ground characters do look a lot similar, but that's understandable since drawing thousands of unique faces would be a waste of time. However the main and supporting cast all have their personal touch to their avatars which makes the look admirable. #CaitSithSinon
Sound(8/10): The sound overall was good. I don't really have much complaints for the sound even though I gave it an 8. Both Openings were amazing and characters themselves weren't annoying to listen to.
Enjoyment(9/10): I had a lot of fun watching Sword Art Online II. It gives me more to think about when I decide to let my mind wonder. Just the thought of how close a different world can be so close to us just makes me want to watch more and more. I really do hope they come out with an SAO III, it would be to sad to see an anime as great as this with more tales to tell us stop right here.
Overall(8/10): It's an enjoyable show to watch that most people often ridicule too hard because of it's growing popularity. It's a fun series with a lot of great ideas to offer. It's not perfect having some flaws, but it's not as bad as people turn it out to be. I recommend giving the series a go and decide for yourself. Do not let anyone's opinion hinder you from enjoying this show and determine for yourself if it is worthy of your time.

Akame Ga Kill. Just the title is enough to catch your attention. When I first heard about this anime, I was fairly new to watching Anime as a whole. This review might look biased because of how inexperienced I was, but it doesn't necessarily mean I was blind to not see what faults the Anime had. Now onto the Review.
Story(5/10): The story is simple to follow. Tatsumi, a young teenager, is on his way to the capital to earn money and save his village. While this concept was dropped four episodes later, and didn't reemerge until the last episode, I knew it wasn't the basis

of the story just by watching the first episode. The real plot is that the capital was filled with corruption and unnecessary evil, and it was Night Raid's job to purge the capital of that evil. While the story was rather true to it's roots, it had quite a lot of pacing issues. Even though their main objective was to eliminate the evil within the capital, the story jumped quite often not leaving you with any time to evaluate what was happening and their progress to taking down the capital. Characters die almost every other episode, and it leaves a rift where you'd think that the disappearance of that certain character would have an effect on that certain sides strength. Take for instance, when the were discussing how to defeat an overpowered character, they assumed that it would take 10 or so characters with special weapons called "Teigus" to defeat. Definitely not the case. That is where the story has it's inconsistency, it also likes to deviate from the intense action and heart wrenching moments, and add some comedy which really isn't necessary.
Art/Sound(8/10): The Art and Sound are at the least commendable. The dark atmosphere was intensified due to the soundtrack, and fights are all animated pretty well. Characters look like they were done nicely, and the voice acting matched perfectly with their characters personas. There are some times where you might not notices the soundtrack in the background, but to where it matters most, it helps intensifies some scenes by it being present.
Characters(6/10): Characters are what make a good story. You can have imagined the best story possible, but it only really shines when the characters are there to keep it interesting and moving forward. With that said, Akame Ga Kill characters don't differentiate themselves from typical Anime stereotypes. They look like they're unique and different because of the art and what they typically wear, but on the inside there isn't much difference between character types. They are at least interesting to a certain degree. Their relationship with each other and how they interact with each other is entertaining. An issue however is that the producers of the anime decides to kill off characters too quickly, leaving no time to grow feeling for the characters. There are some characters you'll care for maybe because you just like their personality, or maybe you just think they're cool, nonetheless it'll be hard for you to actually "care" about a character.
Enjoyment(9/10): Here's where it may sound like I'm being biased, especially since I didn't score the Story or Characters to highly. I don't hate the Anime, not by a long shot. This is one of the first one's I watched, but after getting more experienced with Anime, I see the faults that it tries to hide. I had a great time watching this Anime, and would likely watch it again in the future. The plot doesn't seem all that interesting after you're a couple episodes in, and you notice how the characters aren't very unique. You can however expect it to at least be an entertaining series which you'd want to continue moving forward. It may not be on par with the best out there, but it's definitely something worth your time.
Overall(7/10): It's a very solid Anime, it could have been better if the producers gave it more time for characters to develop, it would increase the impact of the story significantly. I do understand that they had to restrict it to 24 episodes, but they went about it the wrong way. Instead of introducing more and more characters, they should have stayed with the original members and worked with them, rather than send them to their deaths early without any character development. It is still something that can be enjoyed even with its flaws.
