I. Love. This. Manga.
This will be a short review, but for anyone that can stomach the absurdity of this manga it is genuinely the funniest things I've ever read. To start with the action in this manga is amazing, the characters in this manga are amazing, the art in this manga is amazing, the subplots are amazing, everything about this manga is amazing. damsel in distress that's only reason to be there is for something for the male gaze to be attracted to. Also, to go back to the art, it's phenomenel. It's arguably some of the best art i've read in a manga that is biweekly and quite frankly it's peak, it's my favorite manga right now.
Characters: The characters are the selling points of this manga, each team for the tournament in this manga has 3 characters that are all interesting (although I think there is 1 character that arguably had a character derailment and had an awful character arc). To start with, Beowulf, the guy from the legend, is amazing, he's funny, his sword is awesome, and I love how he has a mentor role for the younger characters throughout the series, same with the king of bern's mentor who I forgot the name of. Overall the characters are amazing and a great part of the story. Brunhilde has the best character arc I've ever seen, I love how her curse and blessing are revealed, and how we see that she hates it and wants to be free from all of it.
Plot: The main plot of the story I will not spoil as it's revealed in like, literally the first chapter. The only thing I will say is that as it's been developed more in the recent chapters, what bugs me is that some important story beats are only appearing in the side and bonus chapters, instead of being incorporated into the actual main selling point of the manga. Overall 9/10 plot.

"Life is a gamble" - Not Hardcore Leveling Warrior
This is one of the top 3 manhua's ive ever read, and I would recommend it to anyone asking for any manhua or even anything to read ever, it's amazing and I wish everyone I knew read it. The art in this manhua is, amazing, it's easily the best art in any manhua i've read, the end art is eye candy and it's just amazing to look at. that the release schedule is somewhat annoying, so if you're not a fan of that, read the first 2 seasons and wait for the 3rd season to finish then binge read it. The power system in this manhua is amazing, I love the personal attributes that people have in the manhua, and the references to real people and real historical figures is really cool, and I love how they implemented conceptual powers such as gambler or liar in it too.
Characters: hardcore leveling warrior, the character, is so fun. He's the best part about the manga and his powers as the previous number 1 player and who knew absolutely everything about the core mechanics of the game and the best way to level up felt really fresh, in comparison to a lot of characters who are already op because they have a god given talent that can easily beat through anything they want to. Dark and Sora are both great supporting characters too, and they both play really well off hardcore leveling warrior. There's also the other siblings of dark, great characters who each have really amazing powers as well. Zero as characters are cool too, but they aren't that great, they're good villains but they don't do that well as characters by themselves.

"This is my kingdom" Shin or something
Kingdom is one of the best longest running mangas to date, I'm in love with the characters and the art is amazing. To start with, this manga is both somewhat a generic shonen and a generic seinin at the same time, it has elements from both and incorporates them really well. If you're looking for a full on militaristic strategy manga, this is your best bet, as we get breakdowns of everything going inside the head of each general, each strategist, and each warrior. despite the fact that at some points the scanlations just are really bad and overall take away from the experience of the manga, despite it being so great.
Characters: Easily the best selling part of Kingdom are each of the generals we meet throughout the story. Every general in the manga feels important, every general fells like they have play their own role and are different from the previous or next, and are easily some of the best characters in all of manga. To start with, the great generals of Qin are all unique and are so fun to read, with the only boring one being maybe Tou, but even then his convictions are great and it's awesome how we see him despite his initial appearance of just Ouki's vice general. I have to say, Kanki is easily my favorite character in the manga. He holds this sense of badass that no other character does and I love how they paint this character differently from how a character like him usually would, someone who tortures everyone is usually seen as "theres nothing behind his eyes" or that he has no path, but we see that he is burning with rage, and that everything he does is a way for him to outlet his rage and anger out on people who've wronged him and who he believes are in the wrong as well. An amazing character through and through, with some of the best arcs and some of the best moments. Another great general is Moubu, someone who isn't a great strategic general but makes up for the fact that he is the strongest and most powerful general, and his mace is the coolest weapon ever. Overall the characters in this manga are a 10/10.
Plot: The plot in this manga is really great at times, and feels really bad at times. The first arc is really boring for a lot of people, and chances are you won't like it either, but if you are able to push through it and read to the first war, it's amazing. The initial arc feels like it was supposed to be a lot more shonen than the direction they went, and it feels kinda jarring if you reread it after reading through the whole thing. Another issue with the plot is one of the characters, Riboku, who is the center villain and sometimes just feels really bs with his plans and how he's able to still be as important despite losing so many times, it's frustrating. Despite this, a lot of the poltiics in the manga are fantastic, and Ryofui is an amazing character despite not even being a general and just being a political figure. Overall, the plot is an 8/10.

"Cross impact"
I don't read a lot of Manhuas as I just don't enjoy them that much, but I gave this one a try and I was not disappointed. It does what a lot of Manhua isekai's do badly, and that's have an overpowered MC. The MC is overpowered, but he still struggles, both internal and external battles, and is such a fun character and seeing the later chapters develop him is amazing. interesting in comparison to a lot of other Manhua's i've tried to read, it does generic tropes really well. AND the art is amazing, its easily some of the best art in any Manhua i've read, it's actually really amazing. I'd argue it's art is better than a lot of manga's with amazing art, it's just that good.
Characters: The main character is amazing. I love how they explore his trauma and how it comes back time after time to show just the hell he experienced for 20 years in isolation. It's one of the best parts of the manga, and it's just sad that it isn't explored earlier and we only really see it after the first 100 chapters. Another issue I have with the MC at the start of the manga is how unwilling he is to use any of his actual abilities even when it's obvious he would not be found out for it and overall the beginning just isn't that great. Despite this, The side characters are also really amazing, Atisse, Ephyr, and Kivye, as well as Leonheart are all great characters that play really well with Ryu Hanbin. The only issues that are present with the side characters is that they feel really bare bones, they improve a lot over the chapters but at the start they feel soulless.
Plot: The plot is actually really interesting, which just isn't something that I went into expecting. The way they've set up the villains, the way they've set up the gods and goddesses are all really cool and interesting that I appreciate a lot. The only issue is that the start doesn't explore a lot of the later ideas which I think are some of the most importants, trying not to spoil as much as possible but there's a lot that should have been built on earlier.

"Play ball" - Sato
This is one of the best realistic super power manga's ive ever read, maybe even the best. The concept of Ajins are so well done, and the use of their abilities and the use of immortality throughout the manga is easily one of the best in any manga ive ever read, the characters truly feel immortal and the ways people think of subdueing them and the ways the ajin think of counteracting it is just so smart, it feels realistic and like any person could have thought of this. characters do and what happens in the plot makes sense in the real world. Spoilers ahead, but Sato's decision making and planning has easily made me read the manga 3 or 4 times, its superb.
Characters: Okay, I wont lie, the characters in this manga are actually quite forgettable. Except, for Kei Nagai and Sato, the best characters in the manga by leagues and them being the two characters going against each other is perfect, they truly are some of the best characters in all of manga. Sato's decision making, motivation, and the fact that hes just a straight up menace is so fun, he really just wants to have fun and is in love with gaming, he even thought his final words in life were going to be "Wonder if I got a high score!". It's amazing. Kei Nagai is also there too, He's not as interesting as Sato but he does have his own cool things. Every other character is forgettable for the most part.
Plot: As said earlier, the use of the ajin's ability make this manga so entertaining, you're telling me in order to get into an impentratable fortress, a guy cooks his hand into fried chicken, then puts himself in a woodchipper so he could revive inside of the fried chicken of one of the workers inside the fortress? It's amazing, and the use of narcotics to subdue Ajins, and subsequently the way Ajins will kill themselves just to revive back with their limbs is amazing. 10/10 plot easily.
Great manga, recommend to everyone.

"How long have you been under the illusion I havent written this review?" - Aizen maybe
Bleach was a manga I used to avoid heavily, as I always thought that the first arc was incredibly boring and that the whole manga was like this, as I would check and see people saying its one of their favorite arcs and that the other arcs just weren't as good, which did not appeal to me. After biting the bullet, I have to say, if you don't like the first arc, keep reading, the other arcs are amazing and the arc after that is one of the best arcs

in all of shonen. However, this manga is very battle heavy, and if you aren't a fan of flashy, sometimes bullshit power ups that change a fight entirely than you probably won't enjoy it as much as someone such as I did. Another thing, the light novels are also amazing, I loved reading CFYOW, but they won't be apart of this review. One thing I will say, the power system in bleach is amazing, I love the Soul Reapers shikais and bankais, the Arrancar's ressureccions, and the Quincy's vollstanding, they're extremely creative and I love how each of them display who each character is, with characters like Aizen's shikai being representative of how he is the whole series, deceptive.
Characters: The best part of bleach bar none, the captains are easily the most interesting thing about bleach itself and they are so fun to read, each of the characters are interesting, each of the characters powers are interesting, and it is worth it to read bleach just to see each of the captains, each of the quincies (despite only some of them being interesting) and each of the arrancars. Mayuri and Kenpachi are my two favorite captains in the manga, their fights are so fun and they're both such interesting characters. I love Mayuri and how he grows as a character to become more affectionate of Nemu at the end and how he even brought her back to life as a child, it's amazing and I love seeing his development of a character, and every fight he's in is amazing, despite maybe the last one. His fight with Uryu was our first interaction with real quincy powers such as Letz, and we get to see what hes about, a tricky scientist who plans 10 steps ahead. The Szaelzaporro fight is arguably my favorite fight in the series, Mayuri planning everything he does, already being ready and the way he kills him is awesome. Other characters that I love are Askin and Gerard from the quincies, the schutzstaffel as a whole ended up being great characters, except for maybe pernida and haschwalth. The quincies are great overall, the only characters I dont think were that interesting were the arrancars, I can't think of any that majorly stand out besides ulquiorra. The characters in this manga are a 10/10 without a doubt.
Plot: Okay, here's where bleach lacks. the plot of the first arc is generic, Ichigo finding out he has powers and having to take the role of killing hollows to protect people, meets Rukia and meets the hollow that killed (kinda) his mom. I have to say, this arc is a drag and was hard to read through, I ignored it on my reread and I just can't stand it. Despite this, the invasion of soul society and hueco mundo after this were amazing arcs. As talked about before, the introduction of captains, the introduction of Aizen one of the best villains ever, and other plot lines such as Vizard's are great. Despite this, Soul Society and Hueco Mundo have always felt a little too similar to my taste, but overall amazing arcs that I would individually rate at 9/10 and 10/10 as I loved both. After this, I was not a fan of the fullbringer arc, Ichigo getting his powers back were cool, but it felt boring, maybe because I was used to the hyper action happening in soul society and hueco mundo. 4/10. TYBW, a boring arc that I won't talk about much because the anime is still airing it and with all the changes they're making I think it will completely change my view on the arc. Overall the plot was around a 6/10
Conclusion: Read if you're really into generic shonen battles as it does it really well.

"This is... Our Dr. Stone" (Lol)
Dr. Stone is one of the most original and somewhat enjoyable takes on an "isekai" series, starting in a new world from the very start with nothing but Senku's brain and Taiju's strength, as well as the other starting characters that exist. To start with, the art is superb and I really enjoyed how each character is drawn, along with amazing backgrounds and panel layouts that are some of the best. However, plot wise, the manga tends to fall off and can't compete that well. The first 150 chapters or so of the manga are amazing, the first three acts

are really enjoyable and fun, but the 4th and final acts just seem, rushed, and boring.
The plot of the first two arcs is the battle between Senku and Tsukasa, with Senku attempting to revive everyone on the population without exception and Tsukasa wanting to kill anyone who wasn't deemed as pure, as he believed that it was an evil he needed to commit in order for the world to end up as a better place. This was really interesting, and all the characters that were introduced in this arc are enjoyable, with the exceptions of maybe ginro and kinro, as it feels they were the two characters that never really got anything done throughout the majority of the story. The third act, with the introduction of the medusa device and we finally get to begin seeing how everyone was turned into stone, as well as the first ever reveal of "Why-man" was chilling, easily the best moment in the manga and definitely attracted a lot of people towards it to theorize. However, after this is when the manga begins to drag, Dr. Xeno and Stanley are, for the most part, boring characters that feel like they add nothing to the plot. Stanley feels like tsukasa again, and Dr. Xeno feels like Senku again which I suppose is supposed to be the point, but it doesn't feel original or that it has any substance. However, the final climactic showdown between the two parties was really enjoyable, and the use of the medusa device to petrify everyone again was really enjoyable. The arc after this, despite being the final arc, is really boring. Everything feels rushed, they introduce new characters who feel like they would have been way more enjoyable if introduced earlier, and they rush everything to get to the moon. I'd say the only interesting part of this is the end, where we get to see the interactions between why-man and Senku, which was an enjoyable explanation for the most part. Id give the first half of the plot probably a 9/10, but the 2nd half definitely a 5/10.
A lot of the characters in this manga were the best part of it, might just be a bias towards strong characters but Tsukasa, Hyouga, and even to an extent Mozu were all really cool when they got their times to shine. Senku is the best character in the manga by far, alongside with gen, two of the best characters in any manga ive read with how well they bounce off each other and how well they interact, easily the best parts of the manga are when they are using their respective abilities to get through a situation. I will say however, the ending where kohaku goes to the moon instead of tsukasa felt very, underwhelming. They didnt get to have many interactions and this passing on the torch felt really rushed and boring and I wish it was built up to more, but I guess it doesn't matter since Kohaku and Tsukasa did nothing on the moon or spaceship anyways. Overall, great characters one of the best aspects.
Overall, 7/10 pushing 8/10.

"Life is a gamble"
Usogui is one of the best mangas ive read in a long time, I absolutely love this manga and everything about it. The fights are amazing, the gambles are intense, the characters are interesting, and the foreshadowing is absolutely insane. This manga is absolutely fire, and I believe that as long as you give it a serious try you will love it too. This manga is absolutely intense and after probably 100 chapters it becomes one of the best mangas.

characters in the manga are superhuman to an extent, which leads to interesting fights and hella fun. The focus of the fights usually focus around the referees, but there's also other characters that fight too, such as Kyara, Jonglyo, and Caracal, as well as the members of the private funeral division. You can tell the author's love for fights, as he himself was a boxer and works out heavily himself
Plot: The plot is one of the best parts of Usogui, as throughout the entire manga it is built up to the end, of surpassing the leader. Everything done in each specific arc is a buildup to this exact moment, and there are moments sprinkled throughout the manga that are used to foreshadow what will happen in the future of gambles or games. Best example of this is the surpassing the leader gamble, in which the foreshadow the "extra second" that proves to be the reason for Baku's success at the end of the day. The only issue with the plot is that the first 100 chapters are so do tend to be somewhat boring in comparison to everything that comes after it.
Gambles: The gambles are the main main main piece of the manga, the meat of the manga. The main character, Baku, is a genius who's whole life has been destined to win gambles, as throughout the manga we only see him win, except for the times where he loses on purpose. The only ever character to match his intellect, is the main villain, Hal. Hal is extremely smart and is considered "perfect" as he is the only one who has been able to outwit Baku before and is the leader of Kakerou the main organization of the manga. My personal favorite gamble is the final one drop the handkerchief, as it encompasses all the stakes and is one of the most thrilling things ive read in a long time, trying to figure out how Hal or baku will win it and how they will outsmart each other.
Characters: The characters, are amazing. The referee system provides with a long list of extremely interesting characters, consisting of characters such as Kiruma, Midara, Kadokura, Manabe, and of course, Yakou, Besides from the referees you have the main character Baku and Hal who ive already mentioned. Who I havent mentioned yet are Marco and Kaji, side characters who are neither referees but are part of the main cast to help out Baku. Marco is a lovable brute who is one of the strongest characters and spends a lot of his time fighting throughout the Manga. Kaji is a side character who isn't the smartest but proves himself throughout the manga with different gambles.

Mashle is a mixture of one punch man, harry potter, with the plot that is basic yet effective in execution. Mashle focuses on its's main character, Mash, who is a teenager born without magic in a world filled with magic users. Non magic users are shunned from society, and one day when Mash goes out to buy a cream puff, an icon throughout the series, he is attacked by the special magic police and must becomes a "Divine Visionary" in order to not be arrested.
Plot: This manga... has a plot. The manga's plot really is not it's strong point but it does it well.

There's nothing much to talk about, the plot that mashle is actually the son of the strongest magic user in the whole world is okay, the first half of the story is all about Mash's journey to become a divine visionary, and then the second half is about fighting the big bad and the multiple sons.
Humor: This is the manga's strong point, as it follows the one punch man humor to an extent, of the main character being so powerful that most other character's reactions become a joke. We see this even at the end of the manga, where the villain does a "shocked face" similar to the first cop that tried to attack Mash ever did. The only issue with the humor is that at some points, there's really not that much humor in the near end of the novel, as Mash is incapacitated for a period of time and almost zero comedy comes during it. However, the manga is still very funny and is it's strong point.
Art: The art is very well done, and the author definitely has a very good idea on choreography as all fights throughout the manga are easy to follow and very appealing to look at. However there are points in which the author takes it even a step further, where the art becomes "serious" and the art becomes extremely detailed and well done at this point. That's about all for art, it's solid
Characters: The main focus, Mash, is always a joy to be around. The only real issue with it is that he's sometimes not present to be around, but the side characters are also very strong. The side characters are all typical anime tropes as well, a girl in love with Mash, the serious one, and the average lovestruck guy who falls in love with every girl they meet. They all react well with each other and are definitely part of the main focus. The main villain is your average evil character, with his son's being the same way, but they're also extremely cool and fun to watch.
Overall, this manga is very fun, if you're looking for a super complex manga that will make you feel and hate, this really isn't the manga for you, it's just a fun manga not really meant to be taken that seriously, very fun.

Akagi is one of the most interesting manga that encompasses a gamble, here you have two characters, each betting either their own money or blood, and doing whatever they can to win without actually cheating. However, if you do not enjoy reading 260 chapter long Mahjong matches, you probably won't end up enjoying this manga, as that is how long the single match between Washizu and Akagi lasted, a whole 260 chapters and in real time, took 20 years to finish the entirety of. This is all while the author worked on other works, such as Kaiji, Kurosawa, Zero, and a bunch of other notable

mangas throughout this time period. Another disclaimer is that you should familiarize yourself with the rules of Mahjong before reading, as on my first read I had no idea what was happening and still had a good time, but on my second read after reading through the rules, it really boosted my experience and made me enjoy it so much more. Spoilers Ahead:
Characters: This portion will be split into two section, Akagi and Washizu, as these are really the only relevant characters in the manga except for some side characters that were at the table with the two. Akagi is a genius, plain and simple. At the start he was introduced as a kid who needed to basically half kill himself to feel any enjoyment or thrill of something, but after he discovered Mahjong he was able to start his "descent into darkness". His Mahjong skills was unparalleled, simple as that, and no one could beat him in any match no matter how hard they tried. He barely relied on luck, but at some points it seemed as he also had the "luck of an emperor" as Washizu will go to put it later. This is shown in his game of Cho-Han, where he perfectly predicted whether or not the dice would be even or odd every time. But besides from this, he's shown to have extreme skill and was able to get as far as he did because of this. This is in direct contrast to Washizu, who is the best of the best simply because he is so lucky. He's the type of guy to roll a nat 20 every single time he plays D&D, his luck is simply the top of the top and could not be beat. Though throughout this, he's not very smart, as while in this perspective he really could not keep up a poker face at any point throughout, and while he did end up losing at the end of the very long battle, he drained Akagi to the very last drop of his blood. Washizu being an absolute fiend, looking for the win at any means and taking any chance to is such an excellent character trait and I believe he is one of Fukumoto's best written villains. Simply exotic what they did with him.
The Game: I know I'm skipping the first 50 chapters of the manga entirely, but to be completely honest, they're not particularly needed. Anyways, the game itself was one of the most fun things I had read in a while, with moments that made you think "This is it, this has to be the end" and somehow there's always an explanation for why the character is still going. This got annoying at some points, but it's fine for the most part. Akagi winning the entire time feels very natural, with there only being certain moments where Washizu has the upper hand due to having extremely lucky drawings of tiles, which feels like a good natural progression of how things should go throughout. The main core mechanic game was the blood drawing, and while I do not remember the specifics, the general idea was that depending on the amount of points the characters had at the end of the round they would lose blood depending on the amount. This leads to what seemed like the end of the game, where Akagi had lost more blood than the human body can usually lose before dying. This is changed in turn to reveal that right before the game, Akagi had received more blood after donating some to increase the amount he could lose without letting it be known. Or we see Washizu, who's extremely strong willpower and confidence throughout the game was the main factor for staying alive, up until the end where he was too drained to claim his winning tile, therefore forfeiting what would have been his win. We see this in his "resurrection" of sorts, where he, and quite literally, goes to hell, fights demons, fights king yemna, and comes back through sheer willpower and strength. Simply, amazing.
Conclusion: I love this manga, and the Mahjong game was one of the most enjoyable things I've read from Fukumoto in a while. I 100% recommend this to anyone who has read a Fukumoto work before and has enjoyed it, it's amazing. A satisfying end, a realistic ending, and a game that was so interesting it lasted 20 years.
