Before diving into my review of "GE Good Ending," there's something you should know about my background. I'm relatively new to the world of anime and manga. While I did watch some anime during my childhood—those listed on my profile—I have no prior experience with reading manga. "GE Good Ending" is, in fact, the first manga I've ever read. I initially stumbled upon it in the summer of 2012 but stopped reading halfway for some inexplicable reason. Four years later, I found myself searching for this manga, even though I had forgotten its name. All I remembered were the names Yuki and Touru, and that's

how I rediscovered it. I'm glad I read it now rather than back then, as I was able to complete it this time.
I mention all this because it may influence your perception of my review. While I may not have extensive experience in this genre, I've done my best to relate the story to real-life emotions and appreciate how the author has captured the nuances of love so accurately. So please keep this context in mind while reading my review.
REVIEW: The word "love" is a simple four-letter term, yet it profoundly defines our human experience. What are we, if not beings capable of love—for the small joys in life, for our passions, and for the people who mean the world to us? Love is a complex emotion that evolves based on our upbringing, the places we've lived, and the people we've met. It's a transformative force that, at least once in our lifetime, strikes us like a bolt of lightning, leaving an indelible mark on our souls. It's an emotion so powerful that it becomes unforgettable, shaping our thoughts, feelings, and actions in ways we never anticipated.
As I approach my 22nd birthday on September 22nd, I find myself yearning for that transformative love. I've yet to experience it, but I'm eager for the day it graces my life. How can I be so certain that love is worth the struggle, you ask? My conviction stems from the enduring love story of my parents, a tale so similar to that of "GE Good Ending" that it left me smiling as I turned the final page. My parents, married for 24 years, have weathered life's storms hand in hand, their love serving as their anchor. Their journey began when my mother, at 18, eloped with my father, then 25. Decades later, their love remains unbreakable. Their experience teaches me to never give up on love, to fight for it with every fiber of my being. Life may not be a fairytale, but it's a story we write every day, and love is its most compelling chapter.
"GE Good Ending" resonates with me on a deeply personal level. Though I haven't read many other romance mangas, author Sasuga Kei has succeeded in capturing the essence of love, attachment, and raw emotion. The story navigates the intricate labyrinth of feelings—from crushes to true love to casual affections—so authentically that it struck chords within me. The narrative is a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with highs and lows, joys and sorrows, confusions and clarities. It's a well-crafted tale that will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I believe it will captivate any reader seeking genuine emotional depth.
The story is thoughtfully constructed, with a beautiful portrayal of true love, a nuanced understanding of the difference between a crush and genuine affection, and a balanced backstory for its characters. While reading, you may find moments that tug at your heartstrings, but rest assured, the ending justifies the journey. Life is not a series of coincidences; everything has a purpose, a lesson. And this manga, like life itself, is a treasure trove of such lessons.
P.S. - From day one, I was Team Yuki, captivated by her allure. That's not to say I didn't appreciate Shou; she had her moments that made me ponder. But as the story unfolded, it became clear that the line between a crush and true love is often blurred, yet profoundly significant. This manga taught me that love may start as a confusing whirlwind, but it eventually finds its course, especially if it's the right kind of love.
Thank you for taking the time to read my heartfelt review. If you've read "GE Good Ending," I'd love to hear your thoughts. If you haven't, I urge you to delve into it; you won't be disappointed. Whether you're a man or a woman, if you value the concept of true love, this story will speak to your soul. Have a wonderful day.
