What is happening? What looks like another rinse and repeat romcom about the "loser" protagonist getting the popular girl ACTUALLY has decent characters and develops the romance without tedious fan service or comedic relief bait and switches?!?!? Are we in an alternate universe?

to be more of the same shit you see in Season 1, with little development of the characters and romance. The Dangers In My Heart FINALLY nails what a sequel to an anime romcom should be, genuine progress of the two protagonist's relationship. Not the lazy fan service scene or a shoe-horned in comedic relief joke which breaks the tension when real romance is about to take place. The romance in TDIMH actually realizes and is very touching and emotional in numerous scenes. Its a breath of fresh air to see this happen and not follow the eye-rolling troupes of the many romcoms that exist.
I actually feel something watching Ichikawa and Yamada interact with each other and not feel like its some usual cookie cutter romance I've seen hundreds of times before. Season 2 stacks on top of what Season 1 laid out, and didn't simply replicate it. It's a joy to watch and hopefully you will give it a shot.

For on the surface a show with insane animation and fight scenes with super cool characters, comes to face reality that it has literally 0 story or foundation. I'd like to describe JJK as a really fun roller coaster that has no breaks or a docking station at the end cause there isn't one, its fun while it lasts but once the fun's over (the fights) it'll crash and burn because there's no plot to rely on. be desired for anyone above the age of 12 who wants just an inch of complexity to a show. The only "story" you find in JJK is fight scenes, and if isn't a fight scene, it's a transition episode so the characters can move to a different setting to set up the next fight scene. This is done in an attempt to delay the inevitable, there's no end game for JJK.
Many characters are left one dimensional and underdeveloped because of this glaring issue of no story. This is blatantly present in Season 2 where many character deaths happen. I knew JJK was never going to be a good show after I felt nothing after every death that happened in JJK S2 like Nobara, Nanami, and Mahito. The development or characterization present in these characters was only apparent during action sequences, leaving their deaths or exits from the show feeling underwhelming and non-emotional. Which angers me, because the characters as so cool and likeable, yet I have no emotional attachment to them. It's my personal belief that this is because of JJK's basic problem, it has no foundation for a story.
A show works when the story and the characters are engraved into each other and develop in sync with one another. However, in JJK, it seems like the characters and the story move at 2 completely different paces. This depletes emotion and complexity in both of those aspects of the show and leaves me feeling nothing while given everything. JJK S2 has knocked it out of the park in terms of animation, but if there's no substance behind it, there's no enjoyment.
Overall, JJK, especially Season 2, was a hell of a fun ride, but with a show that has 0 foundation to its name, its only a matter of time before it catches up to itself and is seen as a stale mindless show devoid of any depth.

Everyone, wake up!! We got another overrated shonen #458 taking place this month. WOoooo!111!!! Ah Chainsaw Man. What would we do without you and the other types of show like yours that settles the shonen meatheads’ minds with mindless action and very little plot and storytelling? Lets go over the premise:
Denji is a dude who uses a chainsaw to kill devils to settle a debt. One of his missions he gets killed and the chainsaw devil he was using to kill the other devils with combines with him, making him the very same thing that he kills. He now goes about killing devils left and

right under the condition that if he goes berserk or runs, he will get killed.
I just explained the entire premise of the whole show, so if that doesn’t sound like the most generic shonen shit you’ve ever read, then this show is perfect for someone like you.
I just don't get it. Why do people hype the most basic concepts of shows and throw them on a pedestal of being one of the greatest, when it is so far from so it hurts. Chainsaw Man is a basic carbon copy of every other devil/demon hunting show ever made. But wait! This time, it has good animation!!... Guys?..... *cough*... Y'all would find paint drying to be a top 5 anime as long as Ufotable animated it. The second you think for more than 10 seconds and not like a Neanderthal, you’d come to realize that cool animation and good fight scenes doesn’t make a show anything special. Whereas when you analyze the plot, settings, characters etc. You come to find Chainsaw at the same spot where every other “fresh and new” shonen are, in the very average 6-7/10 zone. Its entire concept is ripped off from every shonen that's come before it. Devil/demon hunting? Demon Slayer, JJK, Devilman: Crybaby, Inuyasha, Blue Exorcist, Dororo. Denji has to become the same thing he’s hunting to become overpowered? JJK, Demon Slayer, Attack On Titan. Denji is forced to work for a company/group that will kill him unless he uses his powers to help them complete jobs? Itadori, Nezuko, Eren. And guess which show is the most recent? None other than Chainsaw. It’s literally not special in any sense. The only thing I could possibly muster up as something that is unique about Chainsaw is its aesthetic. Chainsaw is far more dark and gritty than the average show and guess what made it so? Black and white manga format. Guess what the anime won’t have? Black and white manga format. Chainsaw was meant to be a black and white story, just like Berserk, Vagabond, PunPun etc. Some shows just aren’t meant to be in color, Chainsaw was supposed to be one of those shows. But alas, the Money Devil must have taken over MAPPA’s body and here we are today. So now you’ve taken the only thing that made Chainsaw stand out, what do you have? I think I’ve made my point.
You guys just gotta stop overhyping dumb shit like this, you’re just asking for Chainsaw Man to become an “overrated” and “mid” show just like other new gen shonen who got way too popular for the actual quality the show produced. Chainsaw is just a nice solid turn off your brain action packed 7/10 show that will entertain you for a bit and then you move on the next day, please hype it like that and not it being the second coming of Christ. Doing so will only make CSM crash and burn.

Wow, what an improvement. I gave Animation and Natural both 6's and now I give Origination an 8. I was very unimpressed in this anime, thinking it was just another episodic slice of life with a unique setting. And honestly, I would agree with that statement for the entire show until the last 5 episodes of Origination, where somehow everything just comes together perfectly. Think like a present that has horrible wrapping and is all beat up but has the most perfect red bow on top of it, and that was my experience with Aria. the entire build up of those episodic slice of life episodes is why the ending was so perfect. Anywho, let's begin.
The story is easily the weakest part of this show, because it didn't really need one. Aria is a character driven show and it knows it is too. The story was just a set up for the characters to flourish and make you feel warm inside. If you come in expecting some action packed thriller, I implore you to never watch Aria. This series can be summed up in one word: Relaxing. Aria is something you chill out to on a cold December day with hot coco and sit with a blanket on. If you go in trying to analyze everything and everyone, you will just ruin the vibe this show is trying to set up for you. Just turn off your critical side and let yourself sink into the land of Neo Venezia. I will say, however, that it does get quite repetitive and boring after the first dozen or so SoL episodes, which is the entire show basically. You can only use the same formula for so long before even if you are into the relaxed side of the show, can still feel like a drag. And if you think this show does anything more, then go look for something else. Cause the 52 episodes that make up Aria, up until the last 5, is just an episodic SoL about 3 girls and their trip to being a Prima Undine. If you have the tolerance to sit through that, then congratulations because you will be crying your eyes out in the last 5 episodes. All of the SoL elements the show creates for 40 episodes straight all pay off magnificentely and create a dagger that stabs you right in your heart, with love, of course. Overall, the entire show was a 6/10 and then the last 5 episodes singlehandedly brought it to a 7.5.
Now let's talk about the characters. We follow Akari, Alice and Aika as they pursue the position of Prima Undine. They do so in their own style and it's a joy to watch them be on screen. The dynamic they share is really something special and without them, this show would be nothing. Of course you have the already Prima's: Alicia, Akira and Athena as the teachers of the 3, representing the contrast of what the younger 3 will become. The show really just sat down and let these characters do their thing and let it run with them, and I really don't think anyone is bothered with that. Just sit down, relax, and let these girls take you on a trip you can chill to.
Overall, I really do think (after the ending) that this show had a clear beginning, middle and end. It was tied up perfectly and should be left to rest (I know there's a sequel movie but I'm not going to bother). If you want something that will keep you on the edge of your seat, dying to see what happens next, go watch something else. However, if you want that seat to turn into a blanket and pillow as you chill out to some SoL, try a few episodes why don't you.

The great return of the best isekai ever made after a long 4 year rest. It's been a long while of no Overlord and we all thought Madhouse had thrown in the towel but they are back with Season 4 and so is everyone else. Since 2018, we've been handed a lot of new shitter isekais that nobody asked for or wanted and now Overlord is back to reclaim his throne like Ains as the ruler of isekai.

side. Chad Overlord, however, expands the world to multiple kingdoms who all have a relevant place in the story. And not only that, the little poor village right next to the kingdom troupe that isekai's use is creatively built into Overlord as something Ains "saves" just like a typical isekai but in reality just wants to rule over. Every troupe that isekai's have, Overlord uses but puts its own little Overlord twist into it. Finally, the overpowered mc actually uses his power and does shit with it instead of being the typical "I want to protect everyone I love and save innocent people cause.. idk I'm a isekai protagonist what else am I supposed to do?" Yeah fuck you bitch this is Ains Ooal motherfucking Gown we're talking about. Chad Ains uses humans in this show as pawns and has the most badass group of servants to back him up. To the Floor Guardians to the Pleiades to the infinite number of undead guards he has at his disposal, Ains tramples everything in his way and does so in such an entertaining way.

The animation during the fight scenes are fantastic but lets address the elephant in the room. Good lord Madhouse fix that piece of shit CGI you got. They have the most stellar animation and then in the background some of the worst CGI characters that ruin the moment. I understand budget and time constraints but, gawd dayum.

Easily one of the best supporting cast of characters I've seen in a while. While most of them end up sucking Ains's balls, they all have their own personalities that seem to play off each other in an entertaining and enjoyable way. Not to mention of course how god damn badass all of them are. They could tear you into a million pieces and they know they can. Ains is such an amusing character to watch as his title doesn't justify his presence. He rarely knows what's going on but because he is in such a high position, they all think he's a mastermind genius which is a funny take on a protagonist. But when he does know what he wants, he can be seriously intimidating and show his true power. All the supporting cast are super intriguing and it is a blast watching them and Ains slowly but surely take over the entire world.
Enjoyment: 9
Through all 4 seasons there was never a point where I would say I was bored. The story flows through each season and it was a great time watching the story expand from a skeleton man having a vast labyrinth to him moving multiple pieces at once and claiming entire kingdoms under his name. The character interactions with Ains are also a treat to watch and it really adds a bit of humanity to the same people who think humans are less than dirt. And while they do show human-like characteristics, they would easily torture and kill anyone Ains requests and it is such a cool concept to a show. Overall, it is a super fun ride and a new branch off of the isekai genre that took the world by storm, including my own intrigue.
Overall: 9
Just as Nazarick sits on top of humanity, Overlord sits on top of the isekai genre and will live on as a classic in the respected genre.

When you think of "New Gen Anime" the first thing that usually comes to people's minds are Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Fire Force etc. Ya know, the basic mainstream shonens. Yea no, fuck that. When you think of New Gen Anime you should be thinking of Made In Abyss. Made In Abyss is a perfect example of being one of those "hidden gems" that people overlook because it doesn't have insane fight scenes or animation when in reality it's much better than any show that have the latter. The fantasy aspect of this show is almost unrivaled and it nails the true nature of, well,

nature. Nature isn't just vast landscapes and beautiful scenery, it's harsh, unfiltered natural ways of life. I think Made In Abyss is spot on when it portrays nature as one of the scariest and also most precious things humans have ever come across.
Story: 7.5
The story isn't as grand as the settings and characters that live within it but it sets up a plot where those aspects can grow. We follow a young girl named Riko and a robotic kid named Reg as they descend ever so slowly into the Abyss to find Riko's mother who has since disappeared into the void. That's all there really is to the story but what keeps the show flowing in a beautiful manner is the settings and fantastic use of imagery Made In Abyss creates. Each layer of the Abyss is a completely fresh and new aspect with new plants/animals with different ways of life. And with that, also new ways to kill people. I think most fantasy shows either go too far into the beauty of it while others go too far into the dark fantasy genre and become gloomy. Made In Abyss masterfully combines those genres and makes the story such a breath of fresh air. I was completely hooked to how each layer of the Abyss also adds a new layer to the story. The Dante's Inferno style of descent into the Abyss was such a cool take on a show and I loved every second of it. Overall, go fucking watch this show now.

Like I said before, what makes this show shine is the beauty and complex scenery Made In Abyss creates. At first you think this show is just another peaceful laidback eye candy series and then people start getting eaten and die from a disease slowly and the art complements each side of the spectrum perfectly.
Sound: 7.5
Loved the use of sounds in the show and the openings are fantastic.
Characters: 8
Riko is adorable and can hold her own and Reg is right along with her. This duo back one another up as they slowly go down the Abyss and their interactions are so realistic and raw. They show genuine fear when fear is to be expected and passion when they see the vastness and beauty of the void. They are soon joined by Nanachi, a victim of the lower layers. Humans become irrelevant and we start seeing humans turned into a shell of their former selves. As the void gets darker so do the people residing within like Bondrewd. He is a such a fascinating antagonist that does what he wants and ignores the repercussions of his actions because who exactly is going to stop him in such a place? The characters flow just as easily as the story does and they are perfect fits for what Made In Abyss is meant to be.
Enjoyment: 8.5
I sat down and thought I would have a fun time watching 2 kids discover the secrets of a vast void filled with treasure or whatever. Then all of sudden people are getting eaten alive and people are gushing blood from their eyes and mouths and it completely caught me off guard. This show does not hold anything back when portraying the not nice aspects of nature and that just hooked me even more. Finally a fantasy show that isn't just all cutesy or too gloomy and is able to give me a dose of both at the same time. Such a fantastic way to present a show and I loved every minute of what I experienced.
Overall: 9
I said what needed to be said. Go experience what truly should be the spotlight of New Gen.

I'm confused, I knew this show was good but what in the hell is it doing with a 9.15? I've seem some recency bias before but this is on a whole another level. Kaguya was a solid 6-7/10 rom com for me so seeing these reviews/ratings caught me off guard. Even when Season 1 and 2 concluded the overhyping wasn't this bad. I see people in the comments calling this the best rom com ever made which baffles me as well. Anyways, lets begin.

itself of Kaguya is pretty 1 dimensional with 2 people trying to make each confess. The series follows an episodic format of comedy skits which is why I question it being called a rom com and not 'mostly comedy with tid bits of romance every couple of episodes' In my opinion this show was pretty much a comedy up until the last 4 episodes of Season 3. And uh, how do I say this nicely? I wasn't exactly on the floor dying of laughter from Kaguya-sama's comedy. This show's comedy was just more lighthearted gags that you smile at and not really... comedy. But yeah the actual romance of this show takes a backseat for pretty much 3 entire seasons. The only time its ever brought up it gets instantly terminated by some comedic relief before it can get serious. So when you have a show that doesn't reveal its romance nearly as much as its comedy and the comedy itself isn't funny, what do you get? Boredom.

Very solid adaptation. The animation is very fluid and you can visually see just how much the people working on the show actually care for it.

The opening is as good as ever and the sound tracks are great.

You have a bunch of typical rom com archetypes present in Kaguya and do they do anything different with them? No. You got the big boobed dumb aloof girl, you got the easily flustered MC, you got the flat chested tsundere. Need I continue? The only character in the show that I actually found compelling was Ishigami. He seemed to be the only one in the Student Council Cast that actually developed as a person and didn't stick to the boundaries of his 1 dimensional character archetype. I loved the way he slowly gains confidence and even though life doesn't go his way, he gets a few strokes of luck that slowly develop him into a nicer and more open person. Other than that though the rest of the Student Council are the same exact character as when they were introduced. I said at the beginning of the show that this series is more character driven rather than story and I do think this cast can carry a show. The problem is, is that they can carry a nice solid 6-7/10 rom com that you watch on the weekend to relax... Not a 9.15, highest rated anime, perfect 10's, best rom com of all time type show, ya know? Hopefully once the recency bias of Season 3's conclusion goes away so will the inflation of 10's.

Like I said before, when the show presents its comedy to be its front runner genre and you don't think that the show is funny, you get boredom as the end result. I don't particularly view comedy in anime as funny if I'm gonna be honest, maybe its because I'm not Japanese and I don't relate to their style of humor. Only a select few shows even get a giggle out of me and it certainly wasn't Kaguya. If this show actually cut the episodic comedy skit bullshit I would've been more hooked to the show. But because of it, I never really took the main romance between Kaguya and Shirogane seriously. And when that romance finally gets serious I still don't take it seriously cause the show itself never did either for 3 whole seasons. They used their romance as the main center of the comedy so I view their whole relationship in a comedic fashion, not romantically. So when they try to make their relationship genuinely romantic.. its an awkward combination lets say that. Overall, I think this show has a good premise for a solid rom com that people watch and then forget about until the next season comes out, not whatever these reviews are saying.

Well... that was something. After finishing Season 2 of Demid Slayer I didn't feel like waiting for Season 3 so I decided to just grind the rest of the manga. Look, I already thought the contents in Season 1, Mugen Train and Season 2 were fast paced, but holy shit the rest of this show is as fast as a freight train. The Swordsmith Village Arc felt like it was only 3 chapters long because of how fast that shit happened. get it over with. I'm still processing what I just read cause that shit flew by me.
Story: 5/10
If you've seen my review on Season 2, that pretty much sums up my opinion on the story from Seasons 1-2. So for now I'll talk about Post Season 2 to the final chapter's of the story. As I said before, the story becomes extremely fast paced and the Upper Moons and the Hashiras die like every other chapter. There's really only 2 main arcs left, being the Swordsmith Village and the Finale (idk the official term for it). Swordsmith Village was pretty much made just to show off 2 more Hashiras and to kill off some Upper Moons so that the Finale would seem realistic for the Demon Slayers to win. That bitch is only gonna be like 5-6 episodes long when its animated. And the finale ended as soon as it started, they presented the Upper Moons to be these unbeatable characters, but they dropped like flies in these arcs. It was just so so so so damn fast paced that I couldn't even process what I was seeing and then all of sudden it was over. Tanjiro started to get some bullshit power ups as every shonen mc does and Muzan didn't really do anything. It was just a huge jumble of meat head action. Now lets address the elephant in the room, what in the god damn fuck was that last chapter. Like actually what the fuck was that. The ending was literally fine and then we were hit with some high school alternate universe shit? I'm actually so confused on what that was. Anyways, in short it was so fast paced that you can barely even understand what's happening and a lot of the Hashira and Upper Moons never lived up to their potential cause they die.

Obviously these arcs will be a lot more enjoyable with Ufotable's animation but the art style isn't bad. I wish the mangaka didn't always do that dumb shit where they intentionally made the art really janky and put a goofy face for comedic effect, it was misplaced a few times and took me out of the emersion of more serious scenes.
Character: 6/10
The Hashira's and the Upper Moons carry the show in the character department. Inosuke, Zenitsu and Tanjiro feel like 2 dimensional side characters compared to the Hashiras. I kept forgetting they were actually in the show until they popped in the action. They ended up not doing much with Giyu, he went from depressed e-boy to slightly less depressed e-boy. Once again the problem with the fast pacing applies to every category, a bunch of underdeveloped cool characters that got no screen time. Had potential but I guess it iz what it iz.
Enjoyment: 6/10
Uh... It was alright? Very cliched typical shonen shit that I've seen hundreds of times so I wasn't exactly at the edge of my seat. Once again the fast pacing just keeps taking this show down to lower and lower levels. It had really good potential, it just fell pretty damn flat. Tanjiro is a typical mc I wasn't frothing at the mouth for, the hashira were cool but underdeveloped and lazily inserted and taken out. Just a bunch of wasted potential. Muzan wasn't really doing much which having a good antagonist is where the main source of my enjoyment for shows come from. Like I said before, I do think it'll be better with ufotable doing its work but please for the love of god purge that last chapter.
Overall: 6/10
Said everything I need to. This show exists and now it will disappear into irrelevancy after I'm done typing this.

There's only a small amount of anime that can reach the status of what Attack on Titan has achieved and the feats that it has accomplished will be commended upon for generations. experience again will be sending the show off with a solemn but satisfying goodbye. If you even consider yourself a casual anime watcher, Attack On Titan is a must have on your watch list.
Story: 9.5
If it wasn't for the controversial chapters towards the end, I would easily give this category a 10. No show for a very long time will have a story with the amount of depth that Attack On Titan reached. With once a show about humans surviving giant naked people to a race war about a legacy of nations who have fought for over thousands of years with ancient abilities, the show gives you little by little every episode. The basicness of the show the first 10 episodes of Season 1 came out with were intentional, they are meant to be basic and cliched. Isayama wanted to give out layers of the show slowly but surely to keep people invested. Once you thought you had figured out how the world works and functions, the next season of AoT completely wiped it clean and gave you a world that is 10x larger and more vast. I've seen very few anime that can capture the amount of storytelling elements and connected dots AoT has achieved with only 78 episodes. Larger shows can come close to its storytelling ability but no show has done it better with less than 100 episodes. The expository that Attack On Titan tells the reader is something anyone with a brain could get into and only choose to hate because they don't enjoy its success. When AoT is in its prime writing, no show even comes close. Return To Shiganshina is still to this day the greatest arc I've ever witnessed and I don't see any arc from any show even coming close. And now we close out with AoT The Final Season Part 2 with another action packed finale to the series. We are beginning to reach a controversial arc as the final manga chapters of it have split the fanbase in half. I do have my complaints with it as well as MAPPA’s adaptation of the Final Season. But it is nothing that takes away my full enjoyment of the show. Since I’ve already read the manga, I judge less episodes based off of its content in the episode itself but rather how well it adapts the manga. There are some episodes that I think could have been better and also some that I believe MAPPA knocked it out of the park in. Only time will tell if MAPPA can close out this legendary series on a high note. **Updated part for 12 episodes** Unfortunately we are at the point in AoT where some of the most controversial scenes will arise. Part 3 will definitely be interesting to see anime-onlys gobble down the ending. Well by interesting I mean more like me getting a kick out of the haters who were clinging to straws using the most specific pinpoint issues as main criticisms. I do believe the ending will come as quite a surprise to some people in terms of them thinking it's better than what they were told. If you think AoT's ending is the worst of any show, you should probably watch some more anime lmfao. I could name 5 anime off the top of my head that have had far worse endings. There's quite the difference between an underwhelming ending and a bad ending. I won't get into it too much for spoilers sake, but those who have read the manga and didn't just spout "it was shit" just to get a kick out of fans, they know what I am referring to.

MAPPA has been in some controversy over their animation style and the vast use of CGI. While I am proud to say it is far better than Part 1's CGI, hand drawn will always be better. Never should a studio be given time constraints that reflect poor quality of the product. I think MAPPA is a very solid studio but the CGI does look rough in some frames and makes the fight scenes look very stiff and non fluid. This does make me concerned for future scenes as CGI will almost definitely be used heavily in the future.
Sound: 8.5
Not the biggest heavy metal fan but the opening does its job, although very spoiler filled. The ending is beautiful though. And I do appreciate them using a different soundtrack other than Ashes Of Fire. They used that OST every single damn episode in Part 1.
Characters: 9
Eren Jaeger will always be one of my favorite protagonists ever made. Finally a shonen mc that has actual character development and has more depth to his character than a 1 inch hole. Most shonen mc's lack in development and go for battle/strength feats instead which takes away from the character. Eren goes from a hell bent revenge brat whose only goal is to kill Titans to understanding that no one is an "enemy" or a "bad guy" but rather two sides fighting for what they believe in. He is forced to kill, he is forced to sacrifice for an end goal only he can see. He's a character that anyone should respect and should admire his development. Focusing on the character instead of a new form or attack they develop is a far better way of developing a show and its characters. Of course other than Eren, you have Zeke, Reiner, Armin, Levi, Erwin.. I could go on and on. They each have their place in the show and they perfect the role. I could make a 5 page analysis about them but I'll save you the time. Fantastic characters to commend a fantastic show.

I don't think I will ever be as hype to watch episodes of a show as AoT. When a new AoT episode airs, its like the Super Bowl or the World Cup. Everyone gathers together, clears their schedule and make time in the day to watch AoT. Name me one anime in the past like 9-10 years that can/has done that? None. Every other show I've watched, it's always been a secondary issue to watch the latest episode. When AoT episodes drop, I make sure my schedule is fully clear to enjoy it to the fullest. No other anime has been able to hook me to a screen like AoT does and it's 20 minute episodes feel like 5 minutes long. I usually find weekly episodes as a drag and take away from my enjoyment of the show. But that has never happened for AoT, in fact it just makes me more anxious to watch. Never will I watch a show that will get me this excited and it is going to be heartbreaking watching it end.
Overall: 10
Thank you AoT for providing me the enjoyment I've been seeking for in a show. You will live on in my life as a baseline for what shows should reach and I am glad to be a part of the many people who experienced you as you were airing. The king of modern shonen will have their last bow and I am very excited to see it do so. Attack On Titan will be talked about decades upon decades from now and will stand the test of time as one of the best shows in any medium ever made.

This review contains spoilers for Mugen Train so beware (Even though I have no idea why you are looking at reviews for Season 2 when you haven't watched Mugen Train).
Demon Slayer is the most clean cut and mesmerizing average story ever told. The plot is some of the most generic I've ever seen in a shonen but WaiT gUYys. Wh=Hwhat AbOuT thE a NimAtion???111!. I feel a lot of people are blinded from DS's boring ass plot because of Ufotable's eye candy level animation. They just make anything look good. like a cinematic masterpiece. That's kind of been my experience with Demon Slayer. It's the most beautiful 6/10 show I've ever witnessed.
Story: 5
People with katanas killing demons. Yep. that's it. You think its most fleshed out than that? Nope, it isn't. It's literally just people with katanas going around and decapitating demons. I can name like 10 anime off the top of my head that has done this before. You could wake me from a hangover and I could still name you like 4. Once you take off the rose colored lenses that Ufotable gives you when watching this, you'll come to realize this show is just another boiled down every day generic shonen who just happened to hit the lottery in the animation department. A story about a young boy wanting to avenge his family by becoming stronger/the strongest, sound familiar? Yes, its literally every fucking shonen ever made. It bothers me just how much people's perception of a story can change from the animation when it has absolutely nothing to do with it.

ufotable easily stands as one of the best animation studios ever made and it has the ability to make even the most basic shows seem like masterpieces.

Really like the soundtracks they use. The OSTs, OPs and Endings are all fantastic.
Characters: 6
Tanjiro is every shonen mc ever made. Zenitsu is every wimpy shonen side character ever made. I forgot the hog dude's name. The only redeeming characters are the Hashiras, some of them are pretty cool. The one thing I will give the show is the designs for the characters are very unique and a lot of them look stunning. Most of the Hashiras have more drip than any character I've ever seen in an anime and they look fantastic. Too bad most of them are underdeveloped and have a trend of showing up for a single arc and bailing. Why do they keep giving us the 3 stooges that is Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Hog Man and not cooler characters like the Hashira and the Upper Ranks. I wouldn't give a single shit if any of them died and thats not something your audience should be feeling for your show's main cast. Just another attempt at carbon copying a shonen mc and slapping a new character design on him and saying he's new.
Enjoyment: 5
I just don't have any emotional attachment to the show. Nothing is heart wrenching cause anything that does happen that's sad in the show, happens to an undeveloped and lazy character that no one cares about. I'm sorry but Rengoku's death wasn't sad in the slightest. His character arc and development lasted a good 2 hours and he was in and out in single arc. By the time they even started to really develop him from a dumb aloof character to a determined warrior, they put a hole through his stomach and he was gone. I wouldn't imagine if this manga follows that exact same formula for flamboyant boy that's up next. The Red Light District isn't attracting me anymore than S1 and Mugen Train did, just more generic shonen shit that seems meaningful because ufotable allows it to. Looks like they finally caved in and started to show some fan service popping out some tits though, so that's good I guess (not really).
Overall: 6
If it wasn't for ufotable this show would be nonexistent and no one would give a fuck about it, change my mind. (don't actually, I won't care.)
