Investigators √A ... I mean Tokyo Ghoul √A... *cough*

I enjoyed the series immensely because I'm a huge fan of this property. I've seen the first season and read the manga. I know that many manga fans hate this series, I'm not quite as critical when the anime chooses to change things but I definitely felt underwhelmed considering the wealth of content that was missing. I can't believe they left out some of the best parts in the manga! Why?!

There is lots of symbolism in this series. I've felt very moved by the actions that unfolded in the series. It's definitely very sad and Tokyo Ghoul ...

The potential of this show was extremely high when first watching. It seemed like a perfect candidate for a long running show like Fairy Tail or One Piece. The world was seemingly huge, the characters were plentiful and interesting, the story left time for adventure and side stories but unfortunately we were only blessed with 24 episodes.

The story was a little rushed and could have had some interesting filler arcs or side stories. I can only speculate that the budget was the main reason for a measly 24 episodes, luckily we're most likely getting a second season to continue the manga.

The art and ...

Absolute Duo (Anime) add
Absolute Duo is another standard harem series. The show is filled with humorous misunderstandings. The series does have a unique twist in the form of weapons created from the powers of the soul.

The story throughout the series is severely lacking which isn't too shocking considering the genre. The main plot development happens in the last two episodes.

The OP is great. I love the music choices.

The characters are very typical. They definitely need more work in terms of character development. We barely scratched the surface in terms of the motivation and pasts of the lead characters.

I enjoyed the series but I'm not ...

This is the closest harem to Highschool DxD that I've seen yet. That is a plus in my opinion although everyone seems to either hate or like this series.

The story is rather simplistic but overall interesting to see the relationships between the demons and hero clan. I think there is much more depth to be mined in future seasons.

The OP and ED are very reminiscent of Highschool DxD in both the style of animation and type of music used. The music is good and fits the show.

The characters are underdeveloped which is to be expected for a harem that consists of only ...

I didn't have the highest of hopes after watching past Dragon Ball movies since they are quite nonsensical and non-canon but Battle of Gods changed this and gives new life to a staple of the Anime industry.

The amount of fan-service in this movie is godly. You even have pilaf and crew making an appearance. The humour is certainly strong in this movie, it's very comical and brings back memories of the original Dragon Ball series. We have all our favourite characters and they each get quite a bit of screen time which is unusual for Dragon Ball Z which usually focuses on action and ...

Dragon Ball (Anime) add
I missed the opportunity to watch Dragon Ball as a child which both fills me with sadness and happiness. I envy those people who had Dragon Ball impact their early life but I'm also pleased to have had the chance to view the entire series consecutively and without nostalgia to influence my final opinion.

We are starting to live in a politically correct world where entertainment is beginning to stagnate. You want to make some light hearted jokes? Not allowed, someone might be offended. Dragon Ball doesn't care and welcomes jokes and stereotypes without giving a damn. Dragon Ball is the most humour filled Anime that ...

Preliminary (399/500 eps)
I've been watching Naruto for a very long time. I've read the entire Manga and completed Naruto (Part 1) I've also seen a few of the movies and all the ova's and specials.

The story is utter garbage. It's dragged out and supplemented with horribly written filler arcs. The pacing is painfully slow and unnecessary. The battles are relatively interesting but there is too much needless talk and deliberation.

The art/animation is inconsistent and changes from episode to episode. It's usually very poorly done and while this might be good for saving money and time. Naruto is one of the most heavily marketed Anime in ...

Paprika (Anime) add
I'll start by saying that this movie in my opinion is quite overrated. I've heard it mentioned on numerous times and finally decided to give it a try.

This movie has a good idea but bad execution. The manipulation of dreams provided an interesting showcase of animation, it's all very colourful and nice to look at however... What exactly was the plot again?... from my perspective, this movie lasted for 90 minutes yet barely had any character development or story progression.

The last 30 minutes were the only truly enjoyable part. The midway point feeling like a chore, I had to pause the movie ...

Why do Bats hide during the Day and come out at Night?

The focus on this short movie is placed upon the Bat; an Animal belonging to neither the beasts nor the birds. The story is simplistic, two factions are at war over an undisclosed reason; each side mercilessly killing the other for simply being different.

This Anime aired in 1930. The animation is ancient compared to today's standards but its got a certain undefinable charm like most old Anime. The art, animation and voice work isn't the reason for watching this short movie. The reason is to gain respect for older styles of animation ...

Death Note (Anime) add
I've seen Death Note four times, twice subbed and twice dubbed. This series is renown worldwide as a cultural icon of Anime. You ask a random person to name an Anime; Death Note will be there with Cowboy Bebop, Attack On Titan and Pokemon.

This series is a complex look at morality and poses some very interesting questions. It's a tale of how power corrupts even the purest of intentions. The protagonist of this story originally has the goal for peace through administering justice upon the guilty but his own sense of justice quickly begins to morph throughout the early episodes. What starts as a ...
