Well, nobody did a review for this one so here I go.
In short it's a story with battles and more fanservice than your average one. It has a decent plot and a decent ending too, so it's satisfying.
The story is a fantasy vs science, lot of waifus, a small harem and quite a bit of action, it's a short an easy read. The romance it's there but kinda in the backround, so I think it works if you like romance and it doesn't bother if you hate it. If you want action, this got more than enough.
Probably the only deal breaker is fanservice,
...
if you hate it you won't enjoy much this one.
The characters are simple but likeable and the plot has a couple of twists that makes the story enjoyable. If you like the genres of this manga, I don't see any reason to avoid this one. 7/10

7.5 for fans of the games, 4.5 for people going blind. If you played the games beyond the 7, this is a must watch imo. The story it's not on the same level as the games, but it's close enough and it feels like it has respect for the games, I enjoyed it.
The story would be trails 7.5 and the synopsis explains everything basically. The new characters were fine, they have personality, the show has 1 or 2 episodes that were pretty bad but on average it was good. My only complain would be that I expected to see more Rean x Altina moments,
...
considerering the relationship they had on trails 8. It had a lot of cameos of places and people that you see on the games. The dialogues were engaging.
The soundtrack was a mix from the games and new tracks that don't disappoint. Great stuff basically.
Art is OK, animation is below average. This point I think it really makes it almost impossible to get new people into it.
Overall, it's a show for the fans basically, it gave more lore about the world, we see and interesting moment and good characters... but despite that it feels like it could've been more. Despite all this, I think it worth going out of the way to watch this if you like the games. If you don't, just play the games, they are great (and start with trails in the sky), lol.

This show should be called "The ultimate delusion" or "The perfect trap for an otaku".
This is a story of a dude with only saving is that he is kinda nice... that's it. He is a shy dude, that isn't good looking, he isn't smart, he isn't athletic, he isn't funny and he has no personality... plus he pushes away the only girl that talks to him besides his family. Pretty NEAT. For some reason the most beautiful and perfect girl he has ever knew is madly in love with him and is agressive AF... despite being constantly being pushed away by the MC saying always
...
the same thing (ohhh he is shy, so cute).
Well, that is basically the story, the MC exist and the girl always come to make the scene happen. I gave it a 3 because despite all this it has a couple of funny moments but that's all. I don't see any progresion/development so far BTW.
The girl is just the plain perfect girl that is beautiful, good at everything and super devoted to the MC because he is kinda nice. The only thing that sets her appart is that he teases the MC.
Soooo, if you want a show of a guy that will probably get his perfect life without even trying, you might like it. Life doesn't work like that, this show is less realistic than a fantasy/isekai show. Hell, I think that something like this might be even considered a bad influence. But well, just venting... my job is done and I feel refreshed.

Well, if you want a fantasy adventure with dark tones and likeable characters, this is a must read. The first 10 volumes are the main story, the last volume (11) is 1/2 epilogue and 1/2 side-stories, so it pretty nicely wrapped up. The plot has twists, the dialogues are really engaging, it has fked up scenes (dark/gory stuff), funny scenes, the magic/sorcery system was interesting, action and a decent world building. The art was nice, and it had a good amount of illustrations.
The anime covers only the first volume, I still would recommend reading at least the last chapter of the first volume. You may
...
even skip it, I don't think that is a deal breaker.
I think that the most crucial part of this story is liking the characters, I did. The main duo is one of the best I have ever seen and I loved the dialogues between them and how they slowly changed with every chapter. There is a lot of development in general, not just them. It makes you even care for the side characters.
Romance is not the focus but it's present and there is progress.
One difference between LN and anime is that for the most part, the story is told from the point of view of the mercenary and what he is thinking. This gave a different feeling than the anime.

Well, short version, this show is a Romeo&Juliet-esque type of show and it has a solid ending (that is a big plus imo). What made this show enjoyable are the characters and the relationship between them. Romance and comedy are strong in this one.
Overall, a romantic comedy with some drama and a bit of sci-fi, it has a closed ending, a nice pace and likeable characters. It was better than I expected and it really filled my need of some romantic stuff. Besides, it's just 12 episodes, you won't lose much trying it.
A bit more details, all the character have funny moments, serious moments and
...
even mean moments. This made it very enjoyable for me.
The MC has a personality and a dream (thing that is pretty uncommon in this type of shows where generally the MC gets pulled by the heroines while never being proactive).
The waifu is cute and it has personality, even though it isn't the most unique one. But like I said, having so many differents moments made the characters very likeable a deeper than most romcoms, so it works pretty well and I enjoyed it.
The supporting cast it's also present and it adds quite a bit of enjoyment, they get their fair share of screen time.
The romance is solid and it has a conclusion, so it's going to fill that need to see some of that bittersweet thing called love. The couple has a pretty nice dynamic.
The Art, it's kinda generic but it isn't bad. It works. Animation is OK too, it's good enough for the story but it doesn't add much enjoyment.
It has it's fair share of comedy and even some random stuff (and parodies) in a couple of episodes. But when the drama starts to appear the comedy starts to disappear.
The ending, despite being over the top and kinda corny in some aspects, it worked and it really is an END. Another thing that helped is the pace, I loved the pace of this show.

Wow, shit, pretty damn good read. I actually didn't expect anything, it was a wild ride. I watched the OVA and it's totally different to the manga, in a good way, so if you did the same you should start since the start like I did. Solid romance, lot of sci-fi, lot of blood and a decent plot. It had quite a bit of twist that made the story engaging and a solid ending.
So a good story with plenlty of romance, some action, a solid pace and a solid ending. I really recommend a try, it was a pleasant surprise.

This is a story of a human raised among demons that didn't realized he was human (the are basically the same in appearance), the dude gets fired and he enters in a human village and meets a cute girl (she is hot).
He is OP AF when using human techniques and he fights a couple of monster and assholes. The story has romance with a solid AF ship with a nice development. There is no harem so far, nor I think it will. I love the art and how detailed it is.
This is like a slice of life fantasy, with an above average amount
...
of battle for this type of story with a nice art adding some spice to it and a really nice romance that actually surprised me with how it developed. Also, a tiny bit of comedy and fanservice.
If I get picky, the worse aspect of the story are the characters. They are decent and believable, but they don't leave a mark.
It has a bit of everything, a pretty classic fantasy with a wide amount of stuff that doesn't gets reflected in it's tag. I really think that you should give it a shot, I have a wide taste so I enjoy everything it offers but surely there is an aspect that everyone may enjoy.
And last, so far, the story even if it gets axed it's going to have a satisfactory end. The story reached a nice point that is kinda hard to fk up and it leaves little to imagination in some aspects.

Well, here is my take on this one. First, like the you can tell from the synopsis, the blonde girl isn't "pure" (or at least she doesn't look like) so as you can expect... this really lowers the rating so consider that before dropping this.
This story is sad yet wholesome, despite having the 2 sides of the coin it doesn't feels forced at all. The art is great and the pace is nice and it has a couple of plot twists that spice the things up.
This is the story of a young guy poor dude, with family issues and he gets picked on
...
because of these things. Despite saying this, the story doesn't revolves about this last point despite being relevant.
Every characters has it's issues and it's fair share of time. You really get some development on them.
The art is nice and pretty detailed. The girls are cute, including the mc's mom, lol. The backgrounds are ok too, not much to say because it's a normal modern setting.
I really recommend to check this one, a really interesting story with a lot of emotions and character development. I really wonder how this will end, because I have no idea considering how the things play out in this story.

So, what this has going is quite a combination. If you enjoy all of what it has to offer, you are going to have fun because it really delivers what it offers.
A story with a supernatural plot, that has a good amount of twists and that isn't easy to predict without going into stupidity always following the tone that it set from the beginning. The chapters are kinda long, and they have quite a bit of dialogue (this helps a lot to flesh up the story and the characters).
The romance is really important in the story, and it is always present... along a pretty noice
...
amount of fanservice that I can imagine turning off some people (because fanservice is supoused to be bad and cheap, not for me tho). The story doesn't stays with the holding hands deal, and it took me by suprise how it developed.
The characters, great, I loved them. They feel fresh, they have a personality and they aren't just a walking stereotype even though you can tell in what category they might fit.
Overrall, a romantic unpredictable story with supernatural elements and a good dose of fanservice that it's actually used for romantic moments too. I really recommend giving this a show.

Well, here is the point of view of someone that had a hard time to return to the series after the disappointing S2. And despite giving it a high score I'm gonna say why you should or shouldn't continue with the franchise after watching everything till first inspector.
First, the elephant in the room, new main characters. I actually liked them, and the new suporting cast was also good. There is plently of character development, and we also get some cool scenes of the old cast. Despite liking the new characters I'm not a fan of the mental trace, not a deal breaker tho because it's
...
kinda a "flashy" thinking, so it doesn't do anything that can be considered like "magic".
Second, what it lacks compared with the so beloved S1... the psychological aspect, that is almost dead in this season and it's probably a bit less "dark" or tragic than the first one.
Third, what it had over S1 that made me rate them equally, the mystery and the plot. Really heavy on the detective side and a lot of characters that had their own goals. You could say that every character is almost on his own side and even allies can clash sometimes. The show leaves trails that hints you how it may end, and then, it surprises you with something similar but not quite the same (all making sense and explained at due time).
The action scenes are as good as always, and still present so you are going to enjoy some eye candy too.
Another good thing is that all the world building in previous seasons and movies keeps expanding, making everything more interesting and opening up more posibilities.
So, if you were disappointed with S2 like I was, I think that you may want to give this one a chance unless your only enjoyment about the show was the psychological aspect. If you like mystery, world building or just an interesting plot you should give it a chance.
