Story: 8, Samurai Champloo's story is incredibly basic, almost cliche but with an edge. Two samurai and a girl bump into each other and end up travelling a journey in search of a man whom the girl is looking for. I've simplified it into one sentence, there's not much to say to the plot other than that. Very simple, which isn't a bad thing. Each episode (with a few exceptions) entails its own unique mini-plot. One after another the mini-stories reveal new clues to the main story while at the same time building background behind each of the three main characters.

watch 10 seconds of an episode and you'll see if you like the artwork or not. Initially I didn't, 6months later I picked up Samurai Champloo again and it grew on me. I don't have to write about the artwork to get a reader to decide if he/she likes it or not. I'm sounding like some prissy priss
Sound: 10, Amazing sound, probably one of my favorite anime sound-wise. Voice acting is spot-on with the character portrayal. The OST is very high quality, not much else to say; trying to justify how good the sound is is like trying to describe how good the art is. It's severely subjective.
Character: 10, 3 main characters, the complex between the trio is synonymous of Naruto's Team 7 "Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura".
Jin: Calm, collected, quiet, the pure definition of the textbook samurai. Jin represents order and logic, calmness and composure. A gentleman in the least. He is the mystery man, the James Bond of samurai.
Mugen: Where Jin is yin, Mugen is yang. Mugen is essentially Jin's dichotomous counter-part. If you have ever studied Freud, Mugen would be the Id. Acting out on instinct, Mugen never fails to entertain.
Fuu: Surprisingly, there is no love-interest between the three in competition with Fuu. Fuu sets the stage as the mediator between Jin and Mugen, she is the balance between the two extremes; thus she represents the ego.
Enjoyment: 9, VERY funny, the comedy is never dry in Samurai Champloo, nor is the action. This is pretty subjective and I can't really relate it to any other anime. What I found very well done was the connection between the samurai era and today's age. Hip-hop culture serves as the connection through music, graffiti, free-style rapping. I'm not much of a hip-hop fan but I can't stop but laugh when I see a samurai in the 1800s trying to rap with a guy beat-boxing in the background.
Overall: 9, Samurai Champloo is well worth the watch, I'd say the anime lacks in story depth and consistency but that's not saying much as it excels in every other area. Go watch it!

I've been reading Gantz for the past 2.5-3 years and finally on aug 9 2013, a week after my birthday, I've completed reading this amazing series. I've at least read the first 200 chapters three times over and I still love it just as much as the first time going through.
My biggest take from the manga is the character development. I feel like I grew onto the characters. Each character, good or bad, has their own distinct features that make a lasting impression and make me feel like I'm reading an original masterpiece. who they are, suddenly they die or another plot twist takes you down the roller-coaster, taking you up and down, rising climax after one another almost like a rush. I want more, to the point that I catch myself reading consecutive chapters until I become too tired to go on. THAT is what I rate as a 10 manga.
The only downside to such a long series, like many other long series, is consistency. The story has multiple arcs, each with its own lil theme but the arcs don't tie into each other very well. It's not like One Piece where it's well thought out from the beginning and EVERYTHING is meticulously placed giving you hints from the beginning to future events. It's barely a complaint in my opinion, no series is perfectly great. Even One Piece has its flaws considering it's a benchmark of story-line lineage.

Story: 10, very original story about a superhero who is so powerful he's nearly a god. Really reminds me of playing any video game where it's just way too easy and not challenging, or other cliché manga characters that quote "yes... I've been waiting for a challenge for years, finally someone to fight". Each arc makes me feel like "holy shit maybe this time Saitama will get a challenge", but at the end it's always a disappointment, thus I feel the deep connection with Saitama. extremely detailed and the style is unique in its own, not so much Japanese, the author has his own design. The main protagonist is purposely drawn in a simplistic way to demonstrate how mundane and boring his life is.
Character: 8, there are only 24 chapters out right now, I've read 16 so far so it's a pretty new manga. Character development takes time, after reading the first few chapters I've grown keen to Saitama. Very unforgettable protagonist. Villains are pretty cliché though, although very entertaining. It's superhero themed so expect mad scientists, aliens, ninjas, over the top shit etc.
Enjoyment: 10, I've read 16 chapters straight and I really like it, I'm just taking my time from my lil interlude manga reading break to write this review. The humor is verrrrry funny, ironic, over the top and just my sense of funny:) just go read it. You won't regret it unless you simply dislike sci-fi / superheros which isn't the point of the story.
Overall: 9, pretty awesome manga so far, I'll need to update this review later since the manga itself is pretty much brand new. Go read it.

Story: 8/10
Protagonist starts out at ground zero in a foreign country and gradually builds his way to the top. You know that feeling when you're playing pokemon and you level up or evolve a pokemon? That's the feeling I get when I finish reading each volume because after each arc they just keep adding onto the gang empire as a whole, getting 1 step closer to their ultimate goal.
Art: 9/10
Amazing, art-style is beautiful and the author of Sun-Ken Rock takes the time to explain how he drew each page at the end of a chapter. Really dedicated author, more manga creators should do

Characters are pretty cliché, protagonist is the typical innocent guy who has the alter-ego of a badass when he's fighting. Side characters are pretty original and keep the story going, I feel a connection to the gang when they're together. The gang as a whole is like the straw hat pirates from One Piece, they have each other's backs.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Probably one of the most funny manga ive ever read, the humor is over the top and exaggerated. Very similar to Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro Chan. I think ima read the beginning volumes just to get a good laugh after finishing writing this lmao
Overall: 9/10
Worth the read, just go try it out. Only thing I can say is bad is that the same theme in the story becomes boring. Another thing is the ecchi, why put provocative/nude shit? I can go watch a porno if I want to see naked chicks.
